Regardless of what they said about him,I believe he did Martha a great favour towards the end of her life. If she had not married him, most likely her daughter would have taken over the estate and Martha's rights would have been taken away from her and most likely she would have been placed into a nursing home. He saved her from that nightmare gave her the best quality of life he could for her short remaining years.
Martha raye was one of the most gifted and talented stars from the 1930s, and 1940s movies. She is absolutely outrageous and the very funniest of all the stars including the greats such as Lucille Ball and even my favorite Carol Burnett. Sadly, she was discarded by the industry after her 1950s TV shows ended. Martha went with Bob Hope to all of the wars: world war 2, the Korean war in the 1950s, and all through the sixties and seventies during the Vietnam war. She was really criticized and frowned upon for doing this by the industry, and blacklisted saying she was a "war monger"! She was a registered nurse and took care of all the boys she saw that were sick or wounded and she was also wounded in action. So very incredibly funny and hilarious in the movies and on stage. If you get a chance, watch the 1938 movie with Bob Hope, Dorothy Lamour etc. A very good movie with musical numbers, excellent comedy and Martha raye will make you laugh your ass off!🤗😇❤️
Did Stern ever goof on this? I love Mark. His appearances on the show were legendary. I hope there's a tape out there somewhere of Stern goofing on this.
Look I don’t know if I’m just naive, but I truly believe that Mark loved Martha. Not in the sense that he was physically attracted to her, but I do believe he loved her. I’ve listened to every appearance on the Howard Stern show and I just simply think he cared for her and loved her til the end. I am insanely naive tho I’ve been told.
Two ladies having a nice chat

You mean like a home the same way Martha placed her daughter in?
My mother had nothing but good thing to say about Martha Raye, who she knew personally back in the day. May they both rest in peace.
From Mahtha to Davvyd to Boris … “… and the rubbing of the knee was BETTAH”
Lol, this guy who married Martha was as flamboyant a flamer who ever flamed flamboyantly.

Biting pillows much? 😆lol

Even the breath from your kind is vulgar. Get lost.
As Andrew Dice Clay once said of Mark Harris - " A half-afag is what you are!"
Best Stern guest ever
The gayest straight man I've ever seen! Lol
Wow, a real match made in heaven! Those Liberace vibes..
He gave her 4 happy years,it sounds like the daughter neglected her mother, her friends did after she had a stroke and lost her health.
Skip E. sounds like Jiminy Glick or vice versa.
He IS Jiminy Glick except a little thinner...

Hilarious on Stern
Dear President Clinton.......
Wow, I don't think there's ever been two bigger flamers in a room together before or since this interview.
Where the hell could this have possibly aired
Mark was such a weirdo
Lol, and that's on a GOOD day ! 😆

Do you think Mark would have loved Martha if she had no money??
The interviewer is 😱😱😱😱😱😱
John Bruce Hamilton was 58 years younger than Georgia O'Keeffe. Mark was only 37 years younger than Martha.
I can only listen to him for a few minutes at a time. His constant interruptions and simpering drive me crazy. Jiminy Glick is right on target.
I’m not gay but my boyfriend is
God bless, Mark, but if he wasn't on the Stern show, he was God awful boring. I want to hear about Douche Doss and Leo the Lion! 😄
He is a slimey snake, but at least she was saved of having to be put in a nursing home.
Kat Dennings might be good as Martha Ray.
Dear President Clinton…
Such an affected fake schyster voice
I met mark back in the early 90 and knocked him out with one punch
You were in love
