    Propane and Gasoline gives the best power output, either way I would get longer hoses and power cords( 35 foot minimum) to get unit away from house and off the porch.

      Gasoline gives you the highest power output then propane natural gas is the least. If you plan on running natural gas increase generator size to accommodate. Gasoline is nice because higher output and can save some money on a generator but you run into finding gas stations that are open and who wants to store 50 gallons of gas to get you through a few days before gas station open again and have to wait in line. Just went through Beryl and wasn’t setup for natural gas yet but was lucky to find gas stations open. I kept 20 gallons on hand

    I prefer the inverter generators. Super quiet 🤫 I have a genmax 10,000 watt dual fuel and can actually have a conversation standing next to the generator without raising my voice.

      I just got my Genmax 7500 dual fuel inverter from Sam’s. Running its break in now. Planning on connecting to my panelboard.

    You shouldn’t need a regulator for natural gas! It’s already regulated through the system.

    • @h-townremodeling1519
      @h-townremodeling1519 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The line that comes with the generator has a regulator he’s using his own line so it needs a regulator.

    Don't need the choke for natural gas or propane.

    I never used gasoline in mine. Propane is the way to go. Propane last almost forever

      Propane unless you have a big tank is not going to last long. Might be fine for quick outages or a day or two but unless you have a 100+ gallon tank it is is tough no?

      Worst run time on propane at 50% capacity. 3.5 hours of runtime on a 20lb tank. If you have a house that runs on propane then it’s a non issue!

      That new genmax (i think) 10,500 tri fuel has all regulators INSIDE the unit so u only need a hose. Then u only need a straight hose. 2800 bucks though

      I have the same one, I was impressed by how well it ran and the power it produced. I changed my oil after first 5 hours and then every 24 hours with this TX heat. Some say that’s to much I say it only holds a quart of oil and will break down faster when it’s hot outside. A quart of oil is only a few bucks so why not change it and have the piece of mind.

    How much is this and what's the gas consumption rate

      Now in 2024 they are 1,300 I bought mine in 2021 at Costco for 799. Depending what you are running I’d burn 1 gallon an hour running my AC to almost less than 1/2 gallon an hour running my lights and outlets. All depends how much demand you are asking from it.

      Get the thickest RIDGID you can. Depends on distance and amperage

      Sure it is the 50 amp cord

    • @h-townremodeling1519
      @h-townremodeling1519 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I run 50 AMP with 6GA wire because of the distance to my panel and generator. If you plan on running AC or high drain appliances I wouldn’t use anything less than 8GA wire for the feed to panel if you are within 30ft

      I have same one it ran both my AC’s but not at the same time. Highly recommend getting a soft start for your AC if you plan on running it on a generator. Not only will it help your generator but also saves the life of your AC compressor it’s a win win.

    Hi, I'm curious if you have any issue with electronics ? I read that this model has high THD and it's not recommended to power electronics. I'm worried it may harm things like fridge, furnace (control board), etc etc. Thanks.

      Here is a reminder about portable generator safety: everyone really needs to see this safety reminder to make sure. This advice is just to make sure that everyone is aware of all the warnings and it’s just to remind people to be careful using portable generators. Generators can be dangerous if not used carefully. Every year, hundreds of people die or get injured when using portable generators due to carbon monoxide poisoning and electrocution. Make sure you are using your generator carefully and keeping others safe as well. There is something very serious that everyone should always be aware of when using generators. Some people do run their generator indoors which is not safe and that increases the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning which can cause death of family and you. Some people run their generator in wet conditions which can electrocute them. Please remember that you should never run your generator indoors. Remember that carbon monoxide is an odorless and colorless gas that you cannot see or smell. Carbon monoxide is a silent killer. Keep that in mind. Make sure your generator is 15-20 feet away from your house and away from doors, windows, and vents. Never use your generator in your porch too. Having a carbon monoxide detector is very important against generator safety. Some people also allow children to go near the portable generator which could pose risks. We need to keep an eye on our children making sure that they are not near the portable generator so they won’t get electrocuted or burned by the generator which is dangerous. A locking enclosure also keeps kids safe. A generator shed might look like a tempting place to explore, or take cover during a game of hide and seek, but a generator is a dangerous piece of equipment that can cause injury. It says on the manual that we should also keep children away at all times from the portable generator to avoid injuries. Please do not allow a child or unqualified people to operate the portable generator. Just because some manuals missed what should be listed doesn’t mean it’s safe to do. Always follow the generator safety rules when using portable generators. Generators pose electrical risks. If you need to use your generator during wet weather, you need a generator tent to protect your generator from getting wet. Don’t let your generator get wet. Keep your generator dry and before using your generator, please make sure your hands and your generator is dry. Do not wear loose clothing when operating the generator. Everything that is said on the generator’s operating manual should not be ignored. Never smoke cigarettes near the generator. Please keep flammable things away from the generator. Never overload your generator too. Your generator can catch fire. Never ever try to plug a generator cord into a wall outlet to avoid back feeding. Back feeding your generator is dangerous. Always turn on your generator first before plugging in appliances and shut off the appliances before turning your generator off. Use a heavy duty cord for your generator and the cord should not be worn out. All the instructions should be followed carefully. Never refuel your generator while it’s running. It can cause fire if fuel spills while your generator is hot. You should turn off your generator and let it cool off before refueling it. Having a fire extinguisher next to the generator is also important. This is only a reminder for everyone’s safety of using generators. Make sure your generator is properly grounded. Having a fire extinguisher next to the generator is also important against the safety rules. th-cam.com/video/I1jT3ANENvI/w-d-xo.html and here is a video more about keeping others safe when using generators and also about our family’s safety. Hope this helps. Thank you. Have a good one and be safe. Remember that it’s better to be safe than sorry. Just reminding.
