  • Sean Pagett may not have a household name, but in Kona, they know exactly who you’re talking about when you say the word “Peaman.”

I lived in Kailua Kona for two years back in the 1996 - 1998 timeframe. I had the chance to “compete” in many Pea Man biathlons back then. I was stunned watching your story, learning that “Pea Man” is still going strong, and still hosting these Swim & Run biathlons. They are such wonderfully positive, community building events. If anyone reading can swim and jog, and you’re planning a vacation to the Kona area, I very highly recommend searching for a Pea Man biathlon that you can schedule your vacation around. It’s simple and fun, and you start and finish at the same location as the World Ironman Triathlon Championships. This story truly warms my heart to hear such positive news, good for you Pea Man. And good for everyone else too.
