      @@melissajuarez2553 Well of circumstance though? The nuture of the two individual families and the accessibility to higher education in the first place. The interest in the same topic? Not all of this is written in genes. Me and my sister have completely different gauges on our 'intellect', we think completely differently, she's a lawyer and i'm an artist. The odds are definitely finite.

    I had a somewhat similar thing happen. It happened nearly thirty years ago. A friend of mine got a new girlfriend. I offerred to drive her home one day and as we were driving, I was making chit-chat and mentioned something about having an aunty that we (my family) would visit as kids, and that the old woman used to put walnuts on everything she baked. Coffee cake with walnuts on the icing, afghan biscuits, with chocolate icing and walnuts etc.,. She said, "heh.., I had an aunty like that and she lived on this road we're driving on. And then we both pointed to the house at the same time. Ended up we were cousins.

    Their birth mother made the greatest sacrifice of all. She put her girls needs before her own and most people would judge her but I praise her for what she did. Her two girls seem to have turned out amazing as well. I'm so pleased that they are all in contact again.

    • @tommiller9743
      @tommiller9743 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I get the impression the mother was a drug addict, couldn't or wouldn't get her act together and found it easier to give the kids up instead of fighting to keep them.
      A real mother never abandons her children, but instead makes those changes in her own life and lifestyle necessary to protect and raise her children.
      My wife and I raised six children, through thick and thin and never for a second thought to give any away.

    • @gabbymerritt7937
      @gabbymerritt7937 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Tom Miller you shouldn’t assume what her circumstances were but okay even if it was due to drug addiction, she still knew she was unable to care for her kids and she needed to do what was right for them. I’m sure you’ve made mistakes that other people would look at and say “I’ve never done such a thing” the good thing is that her kids were both raised in a happy family that could care for them and now they’ve all reunited again.

    • @tommiller9743
      @tommiller9743 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gabbymerritt7937 I understand your point, but the bottom line is she chose to abandon her children instead of doing what needed to be done to keep them.
      It's great the kids had a good life with adoptive parents. It's too bad they did not know they had siblings or had a bio mother who kept the family together. After all, even a dirt poor loving family is better than being sent away. Think Dolly Parton, Coat of Many Colors and the love of that once dirt poor family.
      By the way, decades in EMS, Law Enforcement and Crime Scene Investigation has put me in touch with many who even in dire straits were able to keep their priorities straight and properly raise their own children.... and I have had contact with those who preferred their addiction over their children. I suspect the bio mother in this incident is most likely the latter.

Including unprotected sex. But also there is a chance she used protection and it failed. I know a married woman whose 4 children where all with her using different forms of birth control. She is brave because she gave them life and then was so unselfish she gave her children to better homes.

    Call me toxic all you want... I just wonder since they're 34 and 35, and both given up for adoption at birth, why did she fall pregnant (clearly soon) after the first one, knowing she doesn't have the means to give them the best life?🙄Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for them.

    I met my sister when I was about 37 - our bio father introduced us who we didn't really know or have a relationship with. I knew OF him, and had met him, but never had a life with him - he found her on Facebook.

    Well they both have their nonfiction story now! It would be interesting to read both books & compare their feelings & take on the situation. It was meant to be that they found each other.
