He's not the strongest but one of them. His gods aren't that strong though they range from star level to multiversal and only two of them go up to the top. Hell most of his gods are just beings that either look horrifying or do some weird magic blasts or teleportation, there are only three true gods in Kirby. Magalor, Void (Void Termina technically too) and Necrodeus.
A good sheild breaker would be Down air to down b, while hitting their shield mid air with the early hit of down b and breaking the shield with the landing hit box. Kirbs has a gun

Kirby is actually a really good character, super easy to understand and get used to yet has some powerful combo potential, I think the one problem is that if you’re going against a bad character then your neutral B is useless, that and it’s super easy to dodge
