Complete opposite case for me. Was aiming for Percy and he keeps evading me and edging me. While Melusine invites herself into my Chaldea 5 times too quickly.
He's great for longer endurance fights because of that unique healing NP and constant looping that I think lot of people overlook. Targeted ally skill also helps alot with making sure he or your allies stay alive longer. Definitely a sleeper servant, which is unfortunate that he shares the same banner AND lancer class as Melusine. Plus, he's a pure chad unit with thunder thighs, that will feed you lots of food. Hearing "Uuoooghh!" go off during his NP also never gets old.

I got spooked by this dude on the Koyanskaya banner this week when I failed to get him on his actual banner previously. So I'm happy. I already have a Castoria for the looping and all that too! He's one of my best lancers now next to Lancer Cu.
With this Percival guide, I can use him more effectively now so thank you for the tips and ur in depth explanations. I had to pity tam Lin Lancelot but got np5 Percival along the way

Definitely got a lot of him while chasing NP5 Melusine. I’m fine with all the copies of him even if I see myself just using Lancer Melt more regularly for arts looping. He’s got a solid kit though.
I got Summer Melt at NP4, Karna and Eresh. All the banners for this lostbelt were extremely low priority so I only did like 30-50 pulls for both banners, Got a Morgan so I'm happy with that.
Percival is such a hunk and have you seen his legs there so hot😊. That's why I already fully level him up while also grailing him. And don't care about Tam Lin Lancelot during the rolling session for him.
Since the game rejected giving me melt Lancer I'll take Percival to finally replace that p.o.s. Fionn I can't stand him and wouldve burned him years ago if he wasn't my only aoe arts lancer
got him on np3, he can farm irregular nodes with 2 enemies just fine i like his relatively quick NP animation and the fact that you don't need order switch to farm with him he's literally just 1st skill + artoria skills = spam np a total of 7 skill taps + master skills very quick farming guy

I’ve been fighting tooth and nail to not roll for Perci in NA bc Vitch is literally next month. I have both + bugman on JP, but Perci is by far my favorite Servant to use in all of FGO. He has literally everything I could ever want in a survivalist, and Percival was also one of my, if not the most, favorite Knights of the Round growing up. This breakdown does not help my case, man. My 400 SQ is crying here 😭
He is technically the best lancer arts looper cus he can loop berserkers cus his gains so high and has insane sinergy with oberon cus of his np damage up.

No I actually wasn't trying to get Melusine (really don't like her design and personality), my main goal was Percival, only got him at NP1 but can't really complain by having done 40 pulls
I find my percival is cracked he is currently at np 5 lvl 60 and I usually use double castoria with plug Tam and I pretty much erase everything on the field as well as getting 200% charge, when it is beserkers I still get around 160% charge. Imo he is nuts in the castoria system. Oh by the way he usually hits around 1 mil while type advantage and around 300k to 400k for neutral haven't put him through a full on project so numbers could very also keep in mind this is a lvl 60 percival with skill 1 at lvl 4
Got np5 percival BUT i got melu through pity so it worked. Still not sure if I'll use Percival, I'm having too much fun with melu but percy is gonna stay incase I need him for something specific

As much as I like him in story, like his skills and how enjoying it is to farm with him, I'm still gonna dislike him a little bit for the mortal sin of being better than Fionn. Other than that, yeah, Percival is great

Honestly Percival coulda or shoulda been some of similar value to Melusine but I think ztl said it best. Something about Percival felt like they really wanted to build him as something amazing to have as a consultation prize but they got scared he'd be too broken so he's stuck in that middle of the road deal where he's okay but not really something to be impressed by especially if you're account is built up with a line up of servants
He's like Fion! But actually good! I got myself Percival at Np4 so my np 3 Fion is going on an unpaid vacation to the second archive. No, seriously, if you have both is there any reason to use Fion instead?
Fionn is significantly better in CQ generally speaking because the Attack Down from his NP and teamwide NP gain up from skill 1 are really strong effects and better than the healing Percival offers. Not actually losing out in damage significantly either on proper team comps because he has an NP upgrade. Also you should realize on Fionn's release with Bryn, he literally was the 2nd best Lancer after Cu and only briefly had real competition as an AOE Lancer basically after Ereshkigal's release. He's actually been good for an extremely long time especially when you realize how absurd his synergy with Mash + Hans is (Defense stack is an extremely strong strategy, especially with characters like Fionn and Edison as opposed to Percival). His buffs basically just made him go from good to broken. For farming it really doesn't matter which you use when you have Castoria, so Fionn being better in CQ honestly I would argue makes him more valuable than Percival still.
@spacesuit7263 except it's true because most good Arts teams depend more on hard survival defensive NP looping than they do just on an attacker simply dealing damage. You have more team comps that Fionn excells in both at budget and medium whale level because of S1 team utility and Attack Down being an extremely strong effect. Percival for example is basically pointless vs any kind of AOE NP boss battle since none of his kit actually is good for AOE defense. Fionn can contribute directly to things like looped Jeanne/Mash/Castoria NP with his own stacked NP being a tool to defense stack as well as mitigate enemy crits on turns you don't have constant invul.

Melt has some niches he can’t quite meet due to her unique battery, but he is definitively better than Fionn and Vitra.
