    Trail cameras are a great way to see what ferals are around and give you some idea of the times they visit locations. I've even used them around my chickens to work out the best time to trap foxes. I placed one on a freshly shot pig one night to see what animals visited and saw the crows were the first to visit to remove the eyes! Another great video.

      850nm IR glows red which can reveal the presence of a camera, the 940 is "no glow" vs 'Low Glow, so it's harder to detect by the nefarious

    I have also been looking at these on EBay , am very interested to see your review on them

    Just some additional thoughts on the same camera
    Have never seen the battery below 100% either and I usually do 2 pics and a video of an event, the one near chook pen got a LOT of triggers and still going strong.
    The low glow is noticed by all mammals, but if you are moving cameras around to tally and identify ferals then by the time they are snapped it's too late for them to dodge being detected. So for that type of use it's not a problem
    Picture and video quality night and day is excellent IMO
    We get more rain than you and sealing has not been a problem.
    I like the Bluetooth function as I ride the quad up to a camera of a morning and can quickly check on my phone's larger colour screen without undoing or opening the camera what was sniffing around the 24hrs before.
    I think Campark is just a brand name (not a manufacturer) like say Gerber (a family in Sydney) Binoculars they just order a 1000 units from a manufacturer and get their branding name on it. I used to have an optics shop, and saw this all the time.

    • @intothenight1993
      @intothenight1993  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks John. That's interesting. I had tried it with a picture and a video but the delay between the the picture and when the video starts was too long and most things had already walked past.

    • @jo300hn
      @jo300hn ปีที่แล้ว

      @@intothenight1993 yes now that you mention it, the video delay is noticeable, often miss the target on the video that has triggered the photo

    • @johnmead8437

      @@intothenight1993 Presence/absence, use photo, 3 burst min. Behaviour, video. Video is really interesting, but time consuming to review if a lot of triggers. Can show some key information in some circumstances though. Camera orientation is important, plenty don't get that.
      Plenty happens in the trigger interval that isn't detected (2 cameras together will get different info), & some animals are not detected. A time-lapse camera alongside reveals some of the deficit. Just part of it without getting really high tech, & it's uncertain if that is significantly better or just advertising. Price doesn't reflect efficacy always in the trail camera (or much electronics) field.

    Hi Mate, it’s been 4 months since you did this video. Are you still happy with them? Any negatives, now that you have been running them for a while. Great channel, love your vids and sense of humour!

    • @intothenight1993
      @intothenight1993  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Mate. Yes I am still very happy with them. I have had them out running the whole time since and they are still always saying fully charged battery from the solar panel. My only gripe which I think I covered in the video was the glow of the leds when recording but I have had a fair few dogs and lots of pigs etc on camera and since I shot that spooky dog I haven't had any shy away form the camera or pigs for that matter. So for the money I think they are still worth it.

    I bought a faulty trail camera from campark and this has been my experience trying to return it.
    I messaged them and told them the issues. (They have no contact phone number so it all has to be done by email)
    They said you have to run test on it first to determine it’s faulty. I told them I have been for three weeks already I been trying everything I can to see how I can get it to work reliably and it’s malfunctioning constantly. They said I can’t return it until they determine it’s faulty first. So they have me do test but the test they have me do is not the issue and they still won’t recognize it as being faulty after another two weeks of running more test on it and not working reliably. I can’t call them, I have to wait until they respond and I feel like I’m dealing with an AI operator because the response is so robotic. I’m tired of dealing with them, they should be the once working out the bugs not me. I’ve never ran across this when returning a faulty product with any other company. The camera is no good it’s going in the garbage and I’m never buying from them again.

    • @intothenight1993
      @intothenight1993  ปีที่แล้ว

      That sucks mate. I’ve never got any off them as the ones I got were from eBay and I’m not even sure if they are actually Campark cameras or just copies. I have had a few issues with some of mine lately but not sure if it’s a battery issue. I haven’t got the backup AA batteries in them all but the internal battery is always saying 100%. I charged them and put them back out and it seemed to fix the problem. But 2 of them have been running non stop for the last 8 months and haven’t skipped a beat. 🤔
