He's amazing. I know you are a fellow Baklengs fan. Etterslep definitely can do that "thing" (although not completely, of course), but with the addition of the TDL program, it's got quite a bit of versatility.
@@iosifkalpaktsoglou2045 depending on the aspects of fabrikat you liked, etterslep will be a welcome addition. They are restocking on the 10th of this month though. The nice thing about these pedals is that it wouldn’t be tough to get your money back on a resale if you don’t gel with it.
@theliftedindex Thanks, I got an email about the restocking that's why I am thinking about it. Still uncertain due to the many similarities with fabrikat and other pedals I own. And although they keep their value, they are not easy to move, as they are expensive and for a very specific audience. Unlike CBA they haven't crossovered to" mainstream" audiences, if you catch my drift.
@@iosifkalpaktsoglou2045 that is a good point. If you have the Fabrikat and like it this might not be as interesting. To me, the Fabrikat (which I never actually played but have watched a lot of videos on) had quite a few algorithms that did not interest me for my music. So the slimmed down approach of etterslep really appealed to me. Good luck trying to figure out what to do!
Great demo! For digital effects, Pladask sure does somehow coax out organic textures with their pedals. I too was lucky enough to get an Etterslep (and a Baklengs) on the last runs. Buying these things when they are released is a real race against time and gets the heart pumping.
Nice demo! I got a Baklengs and tried dialing in some more time-stretched sounds like you do at 2.00. It seems like it cannot really do that, I probably need an Etterslep or RP Tensor for that...
@@hachoo3318 yeah, Baklengs does a better job with delay grains. Either think more ettersleps are going up next month so hopefully you can grab one then. Thanks for watching!
I really like the names these have. Etterslep, the closest English word assosiated would be lag, or something you drag along behind you. The name fits really well. Pladask is also an onomotopea for something falling into water, usualy something heavy. Love the feedback effect, might pick this one up, Awesome demo!
Totally agree. I think at least some of the modes may have been modeled after the fabrikat actually. TDL is certainly the most reverb-like. Doesn’t have the grit you get with Draume (which I love) but this is its own beautiful thing. Thanks for watching!
@@Jay-og2nvgrain or plate, really. But it is its own thing for sure. You couldn’t probably get the same sound, but you might find a similar feeling. Good luck!
@@theliftedindexyeah, you’ve got to be quick, don’t you! 😅 I tried for a Baklengs a while ago - they were sold out at 10:03pm. I was prepared this time! 😊
I wouldn’t say it is a looper, but it does have the capability to essentially loop and overdub whatever is in the delay buffer. I only wouldn’t say it is a looper because it isn’t designed to have strict start and end points that you can control.
Man this thing sounds SO good. Love nearly everything Knut has done.

Baklengs is good but fabrikat is excellent...thinking about getting the etterslep as well...still uncertain

highly recommend getting draume too.
No more pladask for me. Love their pedals but mono and no midi are a no go for me at the moment
thanks for the vid

That’s awesome! Yeah, it definitely gives your sound a watery sort of slowness to it. Very cool. Thanks for watching!
That TDL-verb-mod setting is angelic, slightly reminiscent of the Draume. The other two main settings are very Fabrikat-y... Thank you

Hi, which settings in Draume would come close to this TDL mode in your opinion, the Grain mode ? Which settings? Thank you.

Great demo, thanks! I was lucky enough to nab one - there’s a lot to discover in there.
Absolutely! Glad you were able to get one. It was a bit stressful on the day for me.

so its a looper? or can you just play live and affect the sound?
