I liked the 2016-2018 maxima over the new gen style. Since I saw it- I'm glad God blessed me with the opportunity to get the 2018 SL. Totally chill car. 😎
one tip if still have this car , change transmission oil to amsoil cvt , NS3 has issues with this car when it's too hot the oil starts bubbling and causes slippery
i agree with everything you said except the LED gripe. In the two years I've owned my 17 SR I've never even noticed that the brake lights, reverse lights, etc are halogen. My interior lights are all LED and this makes me happy enough to not care about the outside. One thing that i like that i would add to your list of likes is the heated steering wheel. This car has spoiled me and my gf to the point where both of us now have heated steering wheel on our list as a must for whatever car we each get next. Dislike added to the list is the little black piece on the rear pillar that creates the floating roof look. I live in the NE with snow, i was cleaning snow off the car the first year i owned it and ripped both sides off in the same day... with the sleeve of my coat! They need to come up with a better way to implement these floating roof pieces. I also hate the chrome grill but not for the same reason, i just dont like chrome. Plastidip is just too tacky for me, look at how its falling apart on your car. My thought is a vinyl wrap, but not concerned enough with it to spend the money just yet.
I'm gonna agree there, I got a 2016 Nissan Maxima Platinum and I just don't get why they'd put LED headlights but then even on the top trim not have an option for LED foglights? It just makes zero sense to me

What confuses me is why would they put paddle shifters on a CVT
From multiple vids i found those paddles also contribute to trans failure

The fact you had to replace the heart of the vehicle voids all the nice.
Did you ever have the 5th gen? Had two w a 2000 Max and later a 2001 Infiniti I30. Currently driving a 6th gen right before the switch to the CVT
I had a 6th Gen and loved it.
