Tried 2 different versions previously, the ones with the metal screw buckle and the ones with the magnetic lock. Lock laces win hands down. had them on my Nike's for a year now, worn daily with no loss in elasticity, I have not even had to adjust the locking mechanism. Just ordered a pair of flat elastic laces with similar mechanism from a different maker, fingers crossed hope they are just as good.
I have a bad back and bad knees and with these, shoes are MUCH harder to get on. You need to have a long shoe horn or some such with you all the time if you have to remove your shoes. Regular laces are more convenient.
Really? I found the opposite, I had 2 slipped discs and I couldn't reach me feet to put on socks or do up laces, so these were great! You can slip the shoes off without wearing out the inside heel part and you can get them on if you can "hook" them over your toes when you can't reach :)
Before using the alligator clip, melt the ends for a second or two to eliminate the frayed ends. The. Use a tight piece of Black Electrical Tape to make a new cover in case you change shoes.
They come packaged as one colour but you can certainly buy different colours and mix them up! I have these green ones for the gym and I like blue ones on all of my other trainers

Right, I still have all of mine on, I thought they'd wear down if you're working on your hands and knees but they've been amazing!

For the fraying you can re seal with a lighter
IIRC they don't melt like normal fuzzy ends, but could be worth a try!
