Now THAT’s Film Noir. Many movies are erroneously described as Film Noir, but this is the real deal. Very 40s. Excellent story and script. June Vincent makes an excellent Femme Fatale.

Cool. I don’t know the circumstances, but I know how I am with my grandkids. I live for them in the way your grandparents loved you . Being a grandpa is the most significant thing I’ve been involved with because I was too wrapped up in my job with my own kids. When you have TIME and a big heart for children it only increases your overall love for life. It’s too heartbreaking with my two sons that I had to work so much I didn’t get to totally enjoy my children as I do my grandchildren.

A father, a second wife, a son from a previous marriage, financial desperation, the quest for truth and a private investigator obsessed with fives who walks a line between ethics and avarice, murder, fraud and betrayal. Lots going on in this film with twists and turns. Very enjoyable for the period.

Jack Val I don't know where to begin. First of all this wasn't a B movie; this was a C- movie at best. The writing was awful and every performance was completely wooden. Not one single spark of real human emotion; just strung-together clichés. A plot that makes little sense. Characters cut out of cereal box.
It was what it was-- a cheap B movie made from a dime store novel.
The set and costume design were good.😋

just the man was hurt and had to take revenge, and then revenge was taken on him truth of the matter is he wasn't as innocent as he looked he should've kept he's hands clean and all would've gone well but then that would've spoiled the entire fun and intrigue of the movie so chairs and shed no tears

Has most of the desirable elements which make for an entertaining movie. Passable storyline. 1 or 2 good actors. An attractive blonde (a must have for the era & genre!). Bearable music which goes mostly unnoticed. Several twists & turns & a fairly unpredictable climactic ending. I'm satisfied!

Why do I get the feeling that every character that elisha cook played had ever had a happy day in his entire life? Jack palance baits him in Shane and sends him to perdition in a muddy street. Humphrey Bogart steals his 45s from him and marches him into his bosses office to embarrass him. And in the killing his cheating wife is leaving him for another man. He was a wonderful actor. Completely underrated and unappreciated. Rip elisha cook and thank you so much for making my childhood memories unforgettable.

This movie would be comical as a play, like 'Clue'... just change a few details

Most men think "I can make this women" in reality if the women does not want to be made he can go ahead and pound salt.

John Raymond that would be “ woman” but of course you are right. It is a mistake for any man to think he can make a woman. He would be in for a big unpleasant surprise!
