In the book its horribly hard to do human transfiguration. Viktor krum try and only half succeded even if he is the strongest last year wizard of Drumstang, a school that has dark arts in their programs. Even if the systems is extremly lax and inconsistent, most of the time spells used by students are only minor inconvenience at average and can only break an arm at best. Flippendo is only like a direct punch in the chest for exemple and is used to knock back hand sized creature like gnome. Even Confringo isnt really that letal as Harry took it in his chest in book7. Thats why main battle spell of good guy is Stupefix, a non letal spell that paralyse someone with a 100% success rate while being easy to use. Wands are not that letal and are overrated for combat.

Like when I self defensively wiped out that the giant spider population deep in the forbidden forest, where I was forbidden to go, because I knew they were developing the technology to dive deeply into the black lake so as to break into the Slytherin common room and assault me in my bed while I was sleeping. If they didn't want to all get killed maybe they should not have been sending me dreams about their plans
it would have been cool if with certain spells if you get mastery they say maxima at the end just like in the movies when umbrige used bombarda maxima.
@@roggonvalno, adding maxima to a spell just creates an improved version of it, it is not a different spell per se, just a powerful version of it, just like lumos maxima can create a lightsource wherever you want while lumos just creates a light in the wand
@@nolanstrife7350 That wouldn't change anything. Not only is Avada an insta-kill anyways, it's not a latin spell, so adding a latin modifier probably won't work. If you want to actually make it better, make an AOE version (Avada Kedavra B'qaysaa/P'arsiyn (tree/area))

in my case i specced crucio mastery and stunning curse on stupefy, imperio mastery, enduring curse. so pretty much engage with crucio. then stupefy first incoming hits. imperio on first troll and booom avada kadavra on the last remaining troll
I find Depulso Mastery to be extremely OP against low to mid rank mobs. I like to hit them into a wall and it hit them with a thousand + number they died instantly. Not work against high rank mobs like Ashwinder Executioner, Troll etc. though.

Incorrect. If you were to outright murder someone with the Severing Charm or burn them alive with the Fire-Making Charm, your ass is still going to Azkaban. But that's not the purpose of those spells. When you cast the Killing Curse, your entire goal is killing. When you cast that spell, 100% of the time your intent is to kill whatever your wand is aimed at. It has no other purpose. A Muggle can also slit someone's throat with scissors, or burn them to death with a lighter and gasoline. Does that mean those items should be illegal? Because that's what these spells are.
The thing is, you have to have murderous intents to kill someone with avada kedavra, it is not sooo simple. Harry used Crucio on Bellatrix after she killed Sirius and she was just shocked that he used it but it did not harm her because he was just enraged but he is not a murderer or torturer, so his intentions weren't strong enough

Concentration 3 and using all three mastered bombardo, diffindo and incendio is crazy. Kills most enemies in one hit on hard difficulty. I hope they up the difficulty in future games but for their first game HL is great.

Even someone like Harry, who was able to produce a Patronus at 13 and pulled off two of the three Unforgivables by the time the series ended, had trouble with them (aside from Levicorpus).

i love the game but for my second character, i didn’t upgrade certain spells because i didn’t want things to be too easy and i wanted that real dueling feeling. things like killing curse chain mastery or confrigo mastery with the two bolts that fly out from the first target are cheesy to me. i also don’t like the curse effect with that tacky green X mark. overall good game

It’s so weird seeing spells I recognize from the EA ps2 games like incendio diffindo glacius but I do wonder what separates diffindo from sectum sempra
My game is glitched so that Diffindo does not cut through multiple enemies even though it's upgraded. I also have a glitch where my field guide pages are not counted properly, I'm missing one in the enterance part of Hogwarts even though I checked every guide and made sure I collected everything. I hate glitches in this game, they're not your typical visual/animation bugs, they're glitches that actually impact gameplay.
Curse infliction is a 1 target hit only set of spells, meaning flippindo, stupfy, exhiliarmus, etc. So if you wanna curse a lot of them you gotta swap targets quickly while using each one and waiting for cooldowns to end.
The game already warns you of attacks with the yellow and red magical sigils I'm not sure why some people need the extra prompt. Is there a reason I'm not understanding.
I'm sure that if Hogwarts Legacy had an online mode with PvP dueling, players would only use one spell slot without any of the 3 unforgivables, simply because of how OP they are.

I hate how Incendio has such a limited range and Bombarda doesn’t have fire damage. It makes Confringo the only useful one of the 3. No point using the other two except when explicitly required by the game.
I dunno... i think they should remove the Avada spell - or maybe have the different ending if player uses it once -same for crucio and imperio. Those are unforgivable charms for the reason, one would say, why every npc is not using it then? Azkaban... 0:37 btw why Difindo looks like SectumSempra? :D

You have to get the talent that allows you to curse enemies. Then the one that makes whatever happens to one cursed enemy happens to them all. Finally you have to unlock the final skill for dark magic that makes avada kadavera kill all those cursed.
If you rack up talent points in the Dark Arts tree, you'll have lots of options: - _Expelliarmus_ can be upgraded to curse the opponent. - _Flippendo_ can be upgraded that way as well. - _Arresto Momentum_ too. - _Stupefy_ has the same upgrade available. - There are talent points that allow you to deal damage to all cursed enemies simultaneously, and upon killing a cursed enemy, grant lifesteal for you. - _Crucio_ mastery allows you to strike a cursed cruciatus enemy with basic Casts, which cause cursing projectiles to seek and hit other nearby opponents, chaining the cursed. - You can extend the curse effect duration with a talent point. - _Imperio_ mastery allows any opponent afflicted with it to curse other enemies with their attacks until the imperius curse expires. - _Avada Kedavra_ mastery causes the beam from the spell to chain to _all_ other enemies afflicted with Curse nearby, killing them all instantly with one shot. A useful talent if you plan on using this spell, as the cooldown duration on _Avada kedavra_ is the longest out of any other spell.
Just a suggestion, make the spell and the mastery back to back so its easier to see the difference? You did like 3 spells, then a mastery, then 3 more spells, then a mastery. Weird way to do it.
The problem with sharing the forbidden curses in Hogwarts Legacy means that if they do sequels, and seems like they wanna do a trilogy, how do you introduce new stuff in the next game, at least in terms of spells? They've literally given you all the best spells already in this game. Bet they'll regret it later.
When you produce a media(game, movie, book) you should concentrate on making the best product you can, not what you'll eventually to on future releases. That's how DC's cinematic universe failed.
There's plenty from the books and movies they can add later. Polyjuice potion, Fiendfyre, custom spells like Sectumsempra, healing spells, patronus, priori incantatum with matching wand cores, felix felicis, animagus abilities for the main character, etc.

Man I stopped using unforgivable curses and the dark arts in general because even on the hardest difficulty they make the game so easy it is boring. Like crucio, spam basic casts, maybe an imperio in there somewhere then avada kadevra and everyone is dead. Plus they all break any type of shield so there is no defense against any of them.
It’s a talent upgrade in the appropriate tree. Bomb area is in spellls , the dark curses are in dark arts . They are locked behind 1 talent point and level caps
The Sectumsempra curse wasn't created until 100 years after this game takes place. It was created by Snape, and this game takes place in the late 1800s.
I was, and still am, kind of put off by the fact that we can reach mastery levels of Avada Kedavra that no one was able before. As a 16 years old. Even Voldi was able to kill only one people per cast. Also Crucio should've been a channeled cast, like in the books/movies. It would've made more sense in the game, in my opinion: a highly effective channeled offensive spell and in our often encounters, we have more than one targets, leaving us somewhat exposed - channel, depulso, stuprefy, switch to the new target. As an added bonus, at the end of the channeled cast, it should stun the enemy for a few seconds. That would've been a more lore friendly approach, if we had to add red lightning to entertain the masses
Considering how main character can dodge attacks, I think we would just beat Voldemort with our fists. Could Voldemort, Albus or Potter climb walls like an Assassin? Hardly.
So, that avada chain thing is just for the game; it's not canon. As for crucio, because we don't channel it it wears off after a little bit. Also, no one would use the spell if it worked like that.
Instantly killing someone without pain? Unforgivable.

8/10 when I hit an enemy into a wall with depulso they clip into the wall and I can never finish killing them.

Nonverbal spells were only expected of sixth years, and your character is a fifth year, so it still tracks.

Confringo does minuscule dmg compared to both of them, especially if you focus your build on a single spell.

I dunno... i think they should remove the Avada spell - or maybe have the different ending if player uses it once -same for crucio and imperio. Those are unforgivable charms for the reason, one would say, why every npc is not using it then? Azkaban...

Is this on easy mode? Why is it taking so long for them to attack and why is it asking you to push triangle and basicallt slow motioning it
The games enemies have a 5-10 second stun period after dodging their telegraphed attack, the action in the combat is on an all time low to be honest
Who needs a killing curse when you can mark a ton of targets then turn one of them into a bomb forcing them all to die instantly anyway

All of those splinters are blood drops, all of those broken planks are limbs and organs. The barrel victim wont even get a funeral, their family wont know they are dead, and the body wont ever be found.

How do I make Arvada kedavra hit multiple enemies?
You have to get the talent that allows you to curse enemies. Then the one that makes whatever happens to one cursed enemy happens to them all. Finally you have to unlock the final skill for dark magic that makes avada kadavera kill all those cursed.
If you rack up talent points in the Dark Arts tree, you'll have lots of options:
- _Expelliarmus_ can be upgraded to curse the opponent.
- _Flippendo_ can be upgraded that way as well.
- _Arresto Momentum_ too.
- _Stupefy_ has the same upgrade available.
- There are talent points that allow you to deal damage to all cursed enemies simultaneously, and upon killing a cursed enemy, grant lifesteal for you.
- _Crucio_ mastery allows you to strike a cursed cruciatus enemy with basic Casts, which cause cursing projectiles to seek and hit other nearby opponents, chaining the cursed.
- You can extend the curse effect duration with a talent point.
- _Imperio_ mastery allows any opponent afflicted with it to curse other enemies with their attacks until the imperius curse expires.
- _Avada Kedavra_ mastery causes the beam from the spell to chain to _all_ other enemies afflicted with Curse nearby, killing them all instantly with one shot. A useful talent if you plan on using this spell, as the cooldown duration on _Avada kedavra_ is the longest out of any other spell.
Just a suggestion, make the spell and the mastery back to back so its easier to see the difference? You did like 3 spells, then a mastery, then 3 more spells, then a mastery. Weird way to do it.

The problem with sharing the forbidden curses in Hogwarts Legacy means that if they do sequels, and seems like they wanna do a trilogy, how do you introduce new stuff in the next game, at least in terms of spells? They've literally given you all the best spells already in this game.
Bet they'll regret it later.
When you produce a media(game, movie, book) you should concentrate on making the best product you can, not what you'll eventually to on future releases.
That's how DC's cinematic universe failed.
There's plenty from the books and movies they can add later.
Polyjuice potion, Fiendfyre, custom spells like Sectumsempra, healing spells, patronus, priori incantatum with matching wand cores, felix felicis, animagus abilities for the main character, etc.

Man I stopped using unforgivable curses and the dark arts in general because even on the hardest difficulty they make the game so easy it is boring. Like crucio, spam basic casts, maybe an imperio in there somewhere then avada kadevra and everyone is dead. Plus they all break any type of shield so there is no defense against any of them.
Who remembers the PS1 Version where Harry would say ‘INNNNNNCENDIOOOOOOOOO’ lol

It’s a talent upgrade in the appropriate tree. Bomb area is in spellls , the dark curses are in dark arts . They are locked behind 1 talent point and level caps

The Sectumsempra curse wasn't created until 100 years after this game takes place. It was created by Snape, and this game takes place in the late 1800s.

I was, and still am, kind of put off by the fact that we can reach mastery levels of Avada Kedavra that no one was able before. As a 16 years old. Even Voldi was able to kill only one people per cast. Also Crucio should've been a channeled cast, like in the books/movies. It would've made more sense in the game, in my opinion: a highly effective channeled offensive spell and in our often encounters, we have more than one targets, leaving us somewhat exposed - channel, depulso, stuprefy, switch to the new target. As an added bonus, at the end of the channeled cast, it should stun the enemy for a few seconds. That would've been a more lore friendly approach, if we had to add red lightning to entertain the masses
Considering how main character can dodge attacks, I think we would just beat Voldemort with our fists. Could Voldemort, Albus or Potter climb walls like an Assassin? Hardly.

So, that avada chain thing is just for the game; it's not canon. As for crucio, because we don't channel it it wears off after a little bit. Also, no one would use the spell if it worked like that.
