As a diehard pats fan who thought mac was gonna be the guy, i genuinely believe that Drake has all the tools and has shown the capabilities to be a top quarterback in the nfl. He can make all the throws, plays in structure, can extend the play with his athleticism, and just overall operates the offense with insane efficiency. Mind you he's doing this with the 32nd ranked O-Line and trashcans at receiver (outside of pop.) If the patriots are able to get him ONE reliable receiver and a mid offensive line he will explode. I am so happy that drake maye is my quarterback.
After watching Maye this season I believe we should give the man whatever he asks for. I also want Mayo out the door, I have zero faith in him as a head coach.
They'd be burning him in effigy right now if he played in New York. Or, mayebe he'd get another 5 games into next season before the torches and pitchforks came out. We eat our own. Although we did put up with Sanchez for four years, and he was *awful*. Never had a game where he threw for more than 170 yards without turning it over, but fan bases will forgive you if you're making the playoffs. As for Drake Maye, who knows? He's in that vast majority of rookies that are tough to evaluate in their first year. You've got to get him an offensive line though.
Yes, despite not putting up similar stats to Daniels and Nix many are considering him the best qb taken in the 2024 NFL Draft. Big reason why is how historically bad his team is and o-line is yet he has thrown 10 different tds to 10 different receivers, has amazing accuracy, is one of the fastest mobile qbs in the league, can throw it 50+ yds from the pocket, can improvise on plays (i.e the shovel pass to DeMario on the run last week), and he is very very good under pressure. New England hasn't seen a talented mobile qb like Maye in decades if ever since we have a history of drafting non-mobile qbs.
@@ericscott9029It’s a shame he was wasted in New England. Imagine if he was drafted by teams like chicago or Washington, who actually have weapons for him.
@@ericscott9029 He actually has put up similar stats to both Nix and Daniels. Mayes 17 game stats if he didn't miss a game would be 3,937 passing yards, 25 passing tds, 617 rushing yards and a few rushing tds. He's keeping up with a far worse supporting cast, it's impressive.
@@enigmafiresup4658 Not a waste and if anything he exposed a lot of problems and proved how great he was and how great of a pick he is. Most 1st rd qbs have to adapt to bottom 10 teams, qb is the most important position in football and the Patriots can build off Maye as far as the offense goes.
Day 9 of asking for a Christian Gonzalez film study
The real coach Williams

Next time, leave the part about belief in Mac Jones out because that's not exactly a ringing endorsement of your opinion of Drake Maye. 😆

@@Snap-Time well year one was pretty good for him. He didn’t say he was gonna be elite. He just thought he was gonna be the starter for a while
@@Mptappin12 Yeah... so my point still stands. Thanks.

At this point lets lock in a top 3 draft pick and take travis hunter!
