Xi'an is located in the middle of the Guanzhong Plain (also known as Guanzhong Basin, referred to as Guanzhong), north of the Qinling Mountains and on the south bank of the Weihe River.
Xi'an, known as Chang'an in ancient times, is also known as the world's four ancient capitals with Rome, Athens, and Constantinople. Xi'an is one of the six ancient capitals of China. In history, there were 13 dynasties in this capital. From Zhou to Tang, it was called Zhou, Qin, Han, Western Jin, Qian Zhao, Qian Qin, Hou Qin, Xi Wei, Bei Zhou. Yan, Tang, etc., lasted nearly 1100 years.
The Qin Terracotta Warriors and Horses Site in the Linyi District, about 30 kilometers east of Xi'an City, is known as the “World's Eighth Wonder” and is one of the “World Cultural Heritages” established by UNESCO.
Xi'an is the capital of Shaanxi Province. Shaanxi Province is one of the birthplaces of the Chinese nation. The Chinese claim to be descendants of the Yellow Emperor. The “inflammation” refers to Emperor Yan, that is, Shennong, whose activity is in the western part of Baoji City in Shaanxi Province; “Yellow” refers to Huang (Note: not “ Emperor "Emperor", the Yellow Emperor Mausoleum is located in the southern part of Yan'an City in Shaanxi Province.
The Guanzhong area centered on Xi'an can be said to be the essence of ancient Chinese civilization before the Middle Ages. Therefore, there are “not to China in Xi'an” and “China in 500 years, Beijing in 5000 years”. Say.
Xi'an itself is dominated by the Tang Dynasty and the Ming Dynasty. The Terracotta Warriors in the Linyi District about 30 kilometers east of Xi'an belong to the Qin Dynasty. The Imperial Tombs in Xianyang City on the west side of Xi'an are from the Tang Dynasty and the Han Dynasty. Mainly, the bronzes in Baoji City, about 180 kilometers west of Xi'an, belong to the cultural relics of Zhou Dynasty (Western Zhou Dynasty). Most of the scenic spots in Baoji City are related to Zhou Dynasty.
