Pretty sure that even the most ardent vegetarians will scarf meat when faced with death via starvation. 🤣 The only exception might be those that abstain for religious reasons (even then I bet most would opt not to be dead). But I understand gameplay comes before realism, I just find it funny. Looks like a cool game!
babysit their longer tasks with direct commands. When a flower a bazillion km away gets 97% observed, and then your colonist runs back to have a snack, your brainpain gets real. also, start these tasks at dawn. by the way, the devs should give us flasks and backpacks in the game. till then, delivery drones for the win!
Some of the survivors have a hidden negative that dont show on the selection screen like Carter who has dementia that gets worse over time and lowers consciousness and i think Weapons looses integrity over time when equipped even if they dont get used (might be wrong about the weapons)

A question though does anyone now if there is a descent explanation video on power and electricity explanation, how the power circuits work and how to effectively use it all? Also I don't to get my power cell generator on my selected circuit to only go on with my power switch when the power is low. Maybe I am doing something wrong.

Literally have never had an issue feeding vegetarians in this game. I don't get the widespread hate. Especially considering that the trait only pops up on Sora and Samantha, both of whom are incredible. seriously, you have to go way more out of your way to get meat in this game than to get veggies. also, none of these tips are particularly useful for hard mode, as the title suggests. They're all literally "stuff that you learn in the tutorial."
Hey, I wonder what's the best to use for cooking in this game, a simple campfire or the stove? Any difference? I heard the campfire may attract the wandering survivors to come and join your group, it seems the stove does not give such side effect. Do you know anything about this?
I got that from getting hit by lightning too many times in a row. I rage quit then save scummed to beginning. I hope there is a way late game to fix that.
Right? Your outdated worldview is the most important one! Shove it down people's throats at every opportunity! More than 10% of the world population is actually vegetarian or vegan, and it is super easy to manage in-game.
@@GreenIsTheWayForward I can tell you this. I work with homeless people and none of them are veggies. Humans are omnivores, not herbivores. Their diet is what is available. So if you crash land as a vegetarian, after a few days all the berries and roots are gone and you will die. This is called science. You are the one who denies science. Science doesn't change because the world changes.
You really should play the game before making guides. The later aliens has ranged attacks or is flying so your little maze is pointless, as the swarm enemies is so easy you don't need it to flawlessly kill them and it doesn't work on advanced enemies.
This is for beginners for the first year. If you're making it past the first year then you can worry about the other enemies. But the cold is more likely to kill you first
I recommend to use "SHINE-MANY" seed to start the game, you will get the best research breakthrougs, nice safe starting spot with more nests nearby for late game resources. Another interesting seed is "2" for two nests and good tech, but it has not hay resource close enough.

You can speed up research by having multiple desks and then directly order another survivor to research.

I'm on hard and after 5 years in game I still have to get a 5th survivor event ... uff
Three out of four of my games, I've had the survivor event within the first two years :) just the roll of the dice I guess

3rd year 7 survivors.
I think I’m year 4 still 5 survivors. I’m gunna try using explore to uncover more as the game doesn’t seem to periodically give you new ones past 5

I found I can't order the survivors to dismantle a stockpile. When dismantle something nearby it's in the sub menu :)
I click on the item, when it’s highlighted, I hit X (on pc) to dismantle.
