    if it's very hard to release hyd nut, what is max hyd pressure ? on the instruction working pressure (dismantling condition) is 1400~1650 bar. It's 6S60MC-C8.2.

    Well after a while its hard to remove exhaust valve studs,i am using more then 1000 nm and its still not coming out.

    The oil return pipe - we use it to close exhaust valve by high pressure oil, instead of using high pressure air, right?

    this is a very informative video. However, we have a similar engine (7k60MC-S) but the cylinder cover comes with bushing for the fuel injector but from this video i could not see any bushing for the fuel injector. we have been trying to remove the said bushing but its almost impossible. please any advise?

    For renewal of ME liner (MAN B&W SMC), do we hv to remove the jacket first or pull out the liner together with jacket or pull only the liner n leave the jacket in place ?

    After closed in&out water cooling valves,cooling water I think must be drain first before open cyl.head.. 😁

    I think once u overhaul a cylinder head u should check the condition of liner or calibrate the liner,water connection between head & liner not shown.pressure testing of head is not done. Anyway marvelous video

    5:00 How can pressure be this much high? 1500 bar!!

    • @chetanpatni1519
      @chetanpatni1519 ปีที่แล้ว

      It used to be 1700 bars on our ship. Hydraulic pump helps in building that pressure up. Without that it is impossible to loosen or completely tighten the hydraulic bolts.

    19:19 what's the name of grinding tool, how to spell it correctly? I can't find it in google translator! (((

    • @MAN-Energy-Solutions
      @MAN-Energy-Solutions  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      1) For the exhaust valve seat it is called "Grinding tool"2) For the fuel valve seat it is called "Milling and grinding wheel"3) For the starting valve it is called "Grinding Ring"

    What is the name of the tool that turn the nuts?!

    • @user-ym5gh5yk4t
      @user-ym5gh5yk4t 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      hidraulik jacks

    • @Flightstar
      @Flightstar 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm finding it difficult to understand how those little hydraulic nut removers can apply sufficient torque with out having a firm anchor. They seem to just sit on top of the studs and twist those nuts off with ease.

    • @girliepadasas3401
      @girliepadasas3401 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      videoclipits those small hydraulic nut remover simply stretch the stud against the the cylinder cover thus freeing the nut so it could turn the nut with minimal effort. The video somehow miss 1 important thing on removing the nut, the hydraulic tool must be loosen by at least 3/4 turn so that when you release the hydraulic pressure on it will not trap the tool when the stretch stud return to its original length. One thing I noticed was it uses 1500 bar pressure in removing the nut which is almost double to the one I usually work with or maybe it is because they used new type of stud material on the video

    1500 Bar. Thats over 20000 PSI. Holy smokes!

    • @n6mz
      @n6mz 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Over 22,000psi actually, stretching those massive studs enough to loosen the nuts by hand. I'm very impressed.

    • @PointyTailofSatan
      @PointyTailofSatan 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@n6mz If one of those studs snapped, that jack would probably end up going through the roof. lol

  • @Gollammeister
    @Gollammeister ปีที่แล้ว

    I did notice when he was using the hydraulic bolt equipment he was loosening the hydraulic bolt removers by turning them hand on hose connection point which to me seems like a bad habit practice longterm in respect of longevity use life of the tool better to remove a tool correctly to maximise the life use of it

    What most idiots here don’t seem to understand.
    This is supposed to be a supplementary instruction video which does not substitute or replace the Manual.
    As a side note, air guns are great for gulling of threads and destroyed fasteners. A professional knows when and when not to use those.

  • @Gollammeister

    I know this is a training vid but shouldn't the engineer in the training vid at least have a hard hat on his head as walking under an over head crane hook not best practice without protecting the noggin

      You are a moron.
      That is O-ring grease which will still be there next time the cylinder head is dismantled. It will not burn away. And only a true idiot would use copper paste on O-rings.
      I hope you never work as a mechanic. 😊
