My theory was
Kanata was falling from those Floating Island

Ayame got something to do with Coco's Beserk.
Shion was with Choco because she was injured.
And I think they dont have different worlds, only different places.
Like,
Ayame, Mio and Fubuki are on the same places (maybe also Miko?) (i dont know how to call the places)
Matsuri, Korone and Okayu are on the same place.
Coco,Kanata,Shion, Flare, Noel, Choco and Rushia are on the same place. (Or at least Choco and Rushia is somewhere near)
Roboco and Sora (I think)

Considering the english texts we get at the beginning, pretty sure they're all worlds that are somehow connected to each other and able to be traveled too somehow. Also, Miko, Pekora, and Sora are all in the same world, you can tell because with Pekora and Sora both have the same looking big wall in the background. And since Miko and Pekora were in that Casino together that either means they're in the same world, or visit eachother often.
It would be funny if Shion got injured by her own kick. It would fit her kusogaki character too

Fun fact: Inu(dog/wolf) and Kitsune(Fox) "statues" are usually seen on the Japanese Shrines & Temples, symbolizes for protecting those said places from demons or yokais "supernatural beings" like an Oni which is Ayame presuming she is attacking the shrine which Mio and Fubuki protects. I just really love how they added that scene "gives me a big Touhou Project vibe". Hopefully it help on clearing a piece of the lore of HoloAlt
Yeah, it looks like both Mio and Fubuki is kind of Guardian Spirit in this setting and Miko probably their shrine maiden.
It's all started with a guy named Yagoo discovered the way to travels between worlds
He is probably the one inviting these girls with message like shown in the video, and Sora become observer who keep the balance in that other world.

The lore: Coco trying to destroy Yagoo's dream and everyone is trying to stop her but in the end Coco defeats them with the power of the sad backstory so they join her when they realize Yagoo is the main villain

My take on the 1st of April stuff is, if I remember correctly and please correct me if I'm wrong, it was a Tweet that someone made on the 1st of April about a Hololive anime that kick started this whole idea, and it was on the 1st of April this year that the first teaser for HoloAlt was dropped. Nobody expected it and I think it was an amazing reference to the original person that came up with the idea (even though it was partially a prank for April Fool's). Now I don't know if they are gonna wait till April 1st next year to drop the full thing so it matches the "lore" so to speak.
Note:Ayames "Mama" or "Stand" is actually a fusion of Ayames spirits Karma amd Shiranui:)

According to Fubuki, the Holoearth book was the foundation of the Hololive Alternative universe: some of the scenes in this full teaser can be explained by the book, such as the Ayame/Mio/Fubuki fight.
Impressed of the art and animation quality? Lots of people behind FGO's TVCMs (which have all been top notch even with different styles) are involved in this PV. BTW, Roboco has mentioned some madlad in Twitter said she just forgot her umbrella in her scene. Can't unthink that anymore.

The story is like a big, first time meeting of everyone. So they all ended up here and started fighting, but then became friends.
The website mentions twitter comics and them looking for content creators that want to join the project.
So if I had to hazard a guess, I think Alternative is a comic series. Most likely people can submit story ideas, Cover then selects stories / edits them, and then finds other people that signed up to do the art for the comics. That way it's sort of a collaborative community project that's run and managed by Cover. If they did it this way then it'd kind of be like Hologra, where each comic is a standalone story, rather than one overarching story.
If I'm right then people expecting an anime are going to be disappointed, but it still has the potential to be a very cool project.

Someone else already explained how the Hololive Alternative is just an expansion of the HoloEarth Chronicles project, but man, with the art that was shared on twitter, as well as the scene in the Teaser, I'm super hella hyped for the FubuMio vs. Ayame fight. based on how they were eating ramen at the end, it was just a sparring session but MAN, can't wait for it!!!!! And yeah, Fubuki uses a sword while Mio uses her hands. AND AYAME GOT A STAND, BEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN-
I guess the date on the phone (1st April) was related to the back story of this project.
This whole project (hololive alternative) was started as an April fool joke from a famous anime director (twitter @uk_ymd).
Then yagoo replied to his tweet with interest and here we are.
I guess I'm the only Soratomo here passing by..
This PV, before it even started, I was feeling excited and hyperactive to see that it was starting. The artstyle, animation, details, lore, song and Calli's voice are amazing. I'd say I'm not a fan of action and isekai genre but this.. this is a different story.
I'm a big sucker for some anime's cute artstyle like smile so the last one with Sora smiling towards the camera got me ascended to heaven.
In other thoughts, I'm mostly interested in Roboco's lore, how she has the different world from everyone else as a lone civilization.
If u freeze frame or slow down the pv u can find some adorable shots. Some great attention to details in there as well.
The date on the phone was when the original concept was made for HoloAlt (4/1/2020)

Seeing Ayames killed me as you can imagine but what killed me the most and almost Brought me to tears was seeing Rushia on screen. I wouldn’t call myself a fandead but Rushi-chan still has a special place in my heart.

people may have already said this in the comments but,
FBK seems to be fighting with a single Katana, which by the looks of things has a few Ice style elements implemented into it, that looks like it will be a lot of fun to see in action.
Mio is just all claws and kicks as well, it sounds like she is able to cover her claws and feet in fire, which seems really cool, so that will be something to watch out for.
As for Ayame, she fights with two special Dachi’s. The one with the back handle is call “Rakshasa” or in Japanese “Rasetsu” with is classified as a “youtou” which translates to “Cursed Demon Sword”.
Rakshasa is a sword that has been eternally cursed (with what idk) and it is surrounded by a faint dark mist.
Her other sword is a red bladed dachi called “Asura” (same pronunciation in Japanese) which has been classified as a “Kijinto” (鬼人刀) which would mean “A Demon’s Sword” but as far as we know it’s just a sword that is really strong with fire aspect to it.
As for the Stand thing she gained during the fight, nothing in Ayame’s general lore hints as to what it might be so for now it’s just speculation. For the way it was summoned it looked as if two spirits flew out form behind her and combined to make it, I highly suspect that they are the two Wisps that follow her around, both her swords are inhabited by two demons which is how they got their names, Rakshasa is inhabited by a demon named “Karma” and Asura is inhabited by a demon named “Shiranui”. Both of these demons can leave the swords in wisp form but are bound to the swords so they have to stay within a small radius around the sword.
So it would seem that they are able to leave their sword form this “Stand” which would be under Ayame’s control.
(Yes they are Wisps not Souls, there is a differents, souls aren’t alive nor do they resemble flames, Wisps are small ghosts they are alive and resemble flames, she her official art for visuals).
Someone in the Nakiri discord kinda predicted this but he said “I’m thinking that FBK and Mio with have to defeat Ayame in order to befriend her” and by the way things turned out as towards the end of the teaser Ayame, FBK and Mio were all together sharing a meal, he might be on to something.
Well that’s as much as I have to say about this in terms of speculation. As the Resident Nakirigumi I thought I would drop my knowledge of Ayame’s lore so y’all can have some fun with that.

I like to think that Sora is getting asked if she wants to visit a place "a world apart" because she was the first member of Hololive, and the sky brightens as she accepts and the world opens up for so many new members and friends. I feel like Sora is being taken from the modern world, to the world with everyone else in it. Obviously this is just what I personally think lol, I'm excited for what comes next nonetheless
