Right. Also actors aren’t the showrunners. To blame the actors for a potentially bad show is like to blame the waitress at a restaurant for the kitchen being backed up or management being careless. As an aspiring actor, I understand where they are coming from in telling the actors to not play the games. It allows them to put their own concept of their characters based on what the showrunners give them through the scripts. So it still falls on the producers and writers if the actors end up with playing characters that are entirely different than the source material.

I so happy that Tales of Graces f got a remaster! One of my top favorite Tales of games of all time! I loved on the PS3. I can't wait to experience it on the Ps4 once again!
I'm hoping TGS 2024 shows Decapolice. I feel unless that game does something super unique, it'll just be another game people forget about by release and don't care.
I bought Trails in the Sky almost 3 years ago but never got the time to play it after finishing ToCS1/2/3. It was only until the day after the remake was announced that I finally launched the game for the first time... But it only means I'll get to play it a second time before starting ToCS4!
Well - I played the original many, many years ago, but I will not hesitate to replay this game in full 3D again. Even when you already know the story, it will be a complete new experience to play it in a whole other view perspective. And I wanted to replay Sky some time anyway, so this is a great opportunity (IF if comes to the PC too that is, but I have high hopes for that).

@@TheKisekiNut Indeed - Steam scores are "mixed" (somewhere between 50% and 60% positive). That is by far the lowest score any Atelier ever had on Steam. It seems to do a bit better in Japan though. I am really glad to see Yumia announced. It gives me new hope. I am still a bit worried though. I only hope they will do not do something like a Game As a Service, On-Line-Only or Lootbox Filled game. Call me paranoia, but that's what happens if you suddenly get a gacha game dropped on you out of the blue. It does not inspire trust to put it mildly. But I probably are seeing ghost. Let's hope we get a good game...
I never believed the rumors about Trails in the Sky's remake, but I'm ecstatic over the reveal. And even though I've resolved myself to never give Nintendo another purchase until they change their anti-consumer practices, I'm looking forward to playing this remake on PC.
I really would love to see Legendia remade especially if they have the wonder chef character playable considering they had that character as a cameo boss fight and she was surprisingly interacting a lot with the cast she even had voiced skits woth them ! I really hope she gets a crumb of appreciation if that happens... I also think they could improve the combat of the game and had more staples of the series (mystic artes most notably) while just improving the combat system, it could even stay 2D honestly they just need to improve the enemy encounter problem either they find a way to make random encounter bearable or they change for a different system that's better but random encounters makes me shudder
I need more Cleria Armor Adol in my life. When it comes to the Sky remake, I'm just hoping for another high quality PH3 PC port. Day 1 or not, we just need more information.

I can confirm that several game studios have my money BECAUSE of these videos. I rely on these as my primary source of rpg game news outside of just following a few major studios directly. (Like pokemon stuff, Blizzard, AoC, etc) I'm gonna pick up Fairy Tail Dungeons cause I was looking for something like a deck building game and this looks solid. I can 100% vouch for 1-1 direct attribution - I watched this video, and then I bought that game.

Otherwise some of the other games listed to release are interesting too. Still bummed about Blue Protocol, but can't do anything about it

I’m wondering if Sky remake is gonna be a timed exclusive and intended as a launch title for switch successor. Monolith just started recruiting, Square no longer doing console exclusives, Atlus next title likely Persona 6 which likely won’t be an exclusive, Nintendo just released a new Zelda so I don’t expect a new one by next year. Leaves them pretty short on potential rpg launch titles. Maybe Fire Emblem or Pokémon so could be why they would possibly make an exclusivity deal with Falcom. I fully expect it will come to all platforms just not day one.
Nintendo have learned from the Wii U, they know the console needs good launch titles. I fully expect they'll have a host of in-house big hitters for when Switch 2 releases. I think this situation is more for Falcom anyway, they want to focus on the Switch 2 going forward I would imagine as it's likely to be a big hit.
I'm about 80-85% through Trails FC...I've decided to hold off on finishing the game as it's been months since I've played anyways, and I'll just do some more waiting while the original trilogy gets remade. I'd like to experience Trails 2nd & 3rd and the ending of FC in the new format/style, as it looks amazing. I love the Art style of the originals...so I'll buy those as well and eventually play my way through those on PC at some point too. I want to get on with this series, but it's a long term investment anyways so no need to rush it...I'm just glad all these games will be available to play when I want to. Problem is I can only play RPGs so much without getting burnt out or hitting a wall...so it's going to be a few years before I actually get around to playing the newer games but this just gives me 10+ games to look forward to that I know will be worth investing into. * By the time the final Trails games are release, is around when I'll actually be finishing up the series to get around to them so the timing should work out.

Said Playstation gamers don’t even buy their games, at least not on Playstation consoles, anymore. The reason this is even happening is because of how atrociously terrible the sales of Falcom games (any Japanese game in general really) have been on PlayStation the past few years. The only real difference here is that instead of a brief PS exclusivity window before being ported everywhere else Falcom is just leading with the Switch this time.

It's truly disappointing that they're discontinuing the series. No more work on the Trails games-it's a tough pill to swallow. I had hoped they would simply put the series on hold, allowing for the possibility of a surprise announcement of a new Trails game in the future. Sadly, that doesn't seem to be their plan. I'm quite disheartened by this news; the Trails series holds a special place in my heart, ranking alongside my first RPG, Final Fantasy X on the PS2. Anyone who has played Final Fantasy X will understand the significance of this comparison. It's a big deal for me, and it's sad to see the series go. Nevertheless, I will continue to support their future projects. Hopefully, they will revive the game in some form or at least incorporate its story, elements, and gameplay into other future titles.

Even if it was a switch timed exclusive fans have to burn them down. This shit is no longer accepted in this day and age. I for one won't bother with a game that I have to wait X years after its og release to release on my platform at full price!
They've definitely improved it since their last trailer, UI and animations look better, so it's not out of the question that they'll keep improving on other aspects before release.
If you're talking about Trails, you'll always be touching on some form of spoiler. I'd prefer a video that flows well rather than spoiler warnings every 10 seconds.

When i heard the news of Sky Remake i literally jumped off my chair, best news i heard this year after Daybreak 2. My biggest concern with future Bandai and Capcom release is how Bandai is going DEI and Capcom is going full censorship to cater to the people in the West instead of focusing on the Japanese people 1st. Am still on the fence on whether am gonna get Plamatea, i was too late for Valimar but i did get Ordine, looks good but quality wise its a bit disappointing cause what is shown isn't whats in the box, ie, it has no finishing of the silver lines and the the color is different from what Ordine looks like, Moderoid made it a light shade blue instead of deep blue close to azure. Honestly while i have no problem if either Xseed or NISA does the localization for Sky Remake since both do good work there are also some issues, like some changes to words that gives a different meaning than in the Japanese dialogue by NISA and Xseed not giving us the option to have Japanese audio with English text. Neptunia not releasing in the West, am sure its not because of all the fan service which alot of people will go to Twatter and complain about 😑(Full Sarcasm).
I just completed TiTS1 on Steam Deck OLED back in July! I loved the art style and format. Seeing the remake was more disappointing to me than anything. I wasn't looking forward to getting to Cold Steel series and up bcuz it was all visually downhill after there. It's a shame they lost their unique art style and made their JRPGs look like erry other JRPG ever. I hope TiTS Remake at least has HDR support I also looked up Valkyria Chronicles on PC. There's the non-remastered OG and the 4th. I wanted to get into them, but I guess I can't. Not gonna buy some random console just to play non-exclusives. I hope they port the remaster and the other 2 to Steam I wish CapCom would port all their OG Monster Hunters to Steam. Playing MH3U/4U/GU on the Deck would be amazing in 90fps
Disappointed in tales of series. Constantly remastering titles which don't really need it. Legindia. Never in UK Abyss only on 3ds Innocence r ? Never localised. Took 2 years for dlc from arise ... Nah. It's a shame but I really enjoyed the older titles. Newer ones are really lost it's magic
1) Hope they *rework the story/quests* for the first half of the Sky 1st into something BETTER than how it was done in the original (e.g. remove unnecessary early chore side quests, add new side quests that are MORE interesting/rewarding, add more story narrative/meaningful human boss fights early on to *kick the main story* at an earlier stage). 2) Hope that *XSEED* get to publish Sky 1st on all platform due to the fact that they ALREADY *have finished translations of OG Sky* as well as doing a good job with the OG Sky's release.

My problem with the trails remake is that they are abruptly making it a switch exclusive or timed exclusive. This series has always been on PlayStation platforms since the franchises inception. I'm gonna pass on the trails remake unless it comes to PS5.

I hope Abyss gets a Remaster. And Destiny. And Hearts. And Rebirth. If Bamco can give me those, then I will literally throw all of my money at them! Castlevania getting a new collectiion was also great. And Suikoden. And also Rune Factory. I have the old Wii game with the RF 1 characters on my shelf. Mist is best girl already. I need to save up money. Btw, with Sky, I believe falcom might not be able to show much until Nintendo reveals the Switch successor. That was probably Switch 2 gameplay. A console I will also need to save up for. My poor wallet. So many good games! I can not buy all of this!

For the trails remake I completely, Switch is not as weak as you think. It seems like it is switch gameplay to me when I saw that trailer and the extended one on the Japanese direct. I get that it is weaker compared to playstation but there have been some amazing games and ports to switch too. I don’t like how you seem down on Nintendo ever since this trails remake has come out. I know I will be attacked here but I don’t care.

Because that isn't gameplay from the base Switch as far as I'm concerned. Even Ys X that was designed with the Switch in mind couldn't achieve 1080p and 60fps at the same time, the Switch ports of Daybreak/CS3/CS4 weren't great either. Sky Remake is using the same engine as Daybreak, so unless they've done some sort of magic, that is not gameplay from the base Switch.
I agree with him, that gameplay looks more likely to be from the Switch 2. I've played loads of JRPGs on Switch, and none of them run that well, even with worse graphics. Octopath 2 ran like ass, even games from Falcom like CS3 ran poorly.
Trails in the Sky - I wonder if there will be an English dub. I have a problem: I don't like Estelle's english voice, and I don't like Joshua's Japanese voice. I wonder what will happen.
I think once they finish all the remakes for the Legend of Heroes Series... it will be the biggest catalog of games that will be the most epic saga.

I had hoped they would simply put the series on hold, allowing for the possibility of a surprise announcement of a new Trails game in the future. Sadly, that doesn't seem to be their plan. I'm quite disheartened by this news; the Trails series holds a special place in my heart, ranking alongside my first RPG, Final Fantasy X on the PS2. Anyone who has played Final Fantasy X will understand the significance of this comparison. It's a big deal for me, and it's sad to see the series go. Nevertheless, I will continue to support their future projects. Hopefully, they will revive the game in some form or at least incorporate its story, elements, and gameplay into other future titles.

Even if it was a switch timed exclusive fans have to burn them down. This shit is no longer accepted in this day and age. I for one won't bother with a game that I have to wait X years after its og release to release on my platform at full price!

They've definitely improved it since their last trailer, UI and animations look better, so it's not out of the question that they'll keep improving on other aspects before release.

When i heard the news of Sky Remake i literally jumped off my chair, best news i heard this year after Daybreak 2.
My biggest concern with future Bandai and Capcom release is how Bandai is going DEI and Capcom is going full censorship to cater to the people in the West instead of focusing on the Japanese people 1st.
Am still on the fence on whether am gonna get Plamatea, i was too late for Valimar but i did get Ordine, looks good but quality wise its a bit disappointing cause what is shown isn't whats in the box, ie, it has no finishing of the silver lines and the the color is different from what Ordine looks like, Moderoid made it a light shade blue instead of deep blue close to azure.
Honestly while i have no problem if either Xseed or NISA does the localization for Sky Remake since both do good work there are also some issues, like some changes to words that gives a different meaning than in the Japanese dialogue by NISA and Xseed not giving us the option to have Japanese audio with English text.

I just completed TiTS1 on Steam Deck OLED back in July! I loved the art style and format. Seeing the remake was more disappointing to me than anything. I wasn't looking forward to getting to Cold Steel series and up bcuz it was all visually downhill after there. It's a shame they lost their unique art style and made their JRPGs look like erry other JRPG ever. I hope TiTS Remake at least has HDR support
I also looked up Valkyria Chronicles on PC. There's the non-remastered OG and the 4th. I wanted to get into them, but I guess I can't. Not gonna buy some random console just to play non-exclusives. I hope they port the remaster and the other 2 to Steam
I wish CapCom would port all their OG Monster Hunters to Steam. Playing MH3U/4U/GU on the Deck would be amazing in 90fps

Nah. It's a shame but I really enjoyed the older titles. Newer ones are really lost it's magic
1) Hope they *rework the story/quests* for the first half of the Sky 1st into something BETTER than how it was done in the original (e.g. remove unnecessary early chore side quests, add new side quests that are MORE interesting/rewarding, add more story narrative/meaningful human boss fights early on to *kick the main story* at an earlier stage).
2) Hope that *XSEED* get to publish Sky 1st on all platform due to the fact that they ALREADY *have finished translations of OG Sky* as well as doing a good job with the OG Sky's release.

They know they aren't good enough to grab the attention of people with their own garbage, so they latch onto a franchise that already has a following, and botch it with their "vision". My problem with the trails remake is that they are abruptly making it a switch exclusive or timed exclusive. This series has always been on PlayStation platforms since the franchises inception. I'm gonna pass on the trails remake unless it comes to PS5.
Nintendo and falcom really know how to drain my wallet. I need to buy that Sky Remake. Like. Now! Graces F looks amazing. I never got the chance to play it sadly. This will be my first time. Finally! A good Tales game! Don't get me wrong, the new ones aren't that terrible. They are just not what I want from the series. And yes, that includes Xillia. And I played that one. I miss the world map. I hope Abyss gets a Remaster. And Destiny. And Hearts. And Rebirth. If Bamco can give me those, then I will literally throw all of my money at them! Castlevania getting a new collectiion was also great. And Suikoden. And also Rune Factory. I have the old Wii game with the RF 1 characters on my shelf. Mist is best girl already. I need to save up money. Btw, with Sky, I believe falcom might not be able to show much until Nintendo reveals the Switch successor. That was probably Switch 2 gameplay. A console I will also need to save up for. My poor wallet. So many good games! I can not buy all of this!

For the trails remake I completely, Switch is not as weak as you think. It seems like it is switch gameplay to me when I saw that trailer and the extended one on the Japanese direct. I get that it is weaker compared to playstation but there have been some amazing games and ports to switch too. I don’t like how you seem down on Nintendo ever since this trails remake has come out. I know I will be attacked here but I don’t care.

Because that isn't gameplay from the base Switch as far as I'm concerned. Even Ys X that was designed with the Switch in mind couldn't achieve 1080p and 60fps at the same time, the Switch ports of Daybreak/CS3/CS4 weren't great either.
Sky Remake is using the same engine as Daybreak, so unless they've done some sort of magic, that is not gameplay from the base Switch.
I agree with him, that gameplay looks more likely to be from the Switch 2. I've played loads of JRPGs on Switch, and none of them run that well, even with worse graphics. Octopath 2 ran like ass, even games from Falcom like CS3 ran poorly.
Switch is pretty weak even for 2017 + Falcom aren't exactly optimization masterminds
Trails in the Sky - I wonder if there will be an English dub. I have a problem: I don't like Estelle's english voice, and I don't like Joshua's Japanese voice.

They're already talking about revoicing on the Japanese side, I think an English dub depends on the publisher.
