If you overpower them, like power them up to the very top level, then all headshots are kill shots, with the hunter bows, even some of the light bows do the same just like the older games like Odyssey and origins.
@Akash Dev even the worst bows reach full power after 3 seconds. Some of the better ones do in 2.. so in your head.. count to 3.. and release on 3. You can get a power that makes your hunter do a special, extra powerful move at that exact point, which doesn't work if you hold your finger on the trigger button for too long.. so watch out for that it's brilliant. And normally kills most enemies at any distance.. I forget what it's called.. but the icon changes when it's ready to use and signifies when you should let go. If it disappears you're too late. You will get the hang of it don't be put off if you fail at first. It's worth practicing.
