- We wander around the five recently opened MRT Blue Line stations; Wat Mangkorn, Sam Yod, Sanam Chai, Itsaraphap, and Tha Phra. This extension of the Blue Line ends at Lak Song Station which will be opened very soon. It is so much easier now to get to Chinatown (Yaowarat) especially if you are coming from Lad Phrao or Chatuchak District without having to wade through horrendous city traffic. Services to these five stations are currently offered free for the general public, only within these five stations.

Sanam Chai Station is really in the heart of Bangkok, a distance to Grand Palace, Wat Pho Temple (Reclining Buddha Temple), Flower Market and Chao Phraya River Embankment
It's apparent that one could catch a glimpse of the Grand Palace as depicted on the station's white walls/red gates, pillars, as well as, the ceiling. Chao Phraya River is between this station and Itsaraphap (Fang Thon) so it's absolutely a great way to cross the River without having to get stuck in traffic or idly wait for ferries.

This line is name "Chalermratchamongkorn" and mean is " Celebration for the King"
This name is important because The last King
(King Bhumipol Adunyadej RamaIX on Chakri Dynasty) give name for this line and state visit open on 3 July 2004 (Phase 1 20 kilometers).
Phase 2 Open 1.2 kilometers (Bangsue to Taopoon Station).
Phase 3 In this clip (5 stations before open full on 29 th September 2019)
(Bangkok Railway Staion:Hualumpong to Laksong Station (Near The Mall Department Store)).
In this line, you can visit Chinatown, Royal Grand Palace, Wat Po, Bangkok City Pillar (I call Thai City Pillar on present), Flower Market, Wathongrattanaram (Near Isaraphap station), Old Royal Grand Palace (Thonburi Palace open especially on 28 December annual), Watarunratchawararam (Temple of Dawn), and the first tunnel MRT electrified train across under The Chaopraya river.
Phase 4 open on 2020. When open complete, you can visit and transport circular line.
