Great video! Thank you. I moved here from SoCal 2 years ago and loving every minute of it. Lower cost of living, no crazy traffic like LA, lower crime rates , no homeless, great schools. Only thing i miss is the socal weather but im getting similar weather here 8 month a year so its a fair compromise.
Been in Oviedo for 36 year and that small town feel is fading for sure. A little worried to see what this town will look like in 10 years. But home is paid for so not going anywhere lol
Agreed, certainly not as "small town" like as before. Don't know if fully urban is the way to go for that area but it would benefit from some more shopping options
Not at all true. Oviedo has gone through uncontrolled over-building. Traffic is literally worse than driving in Los Angeles. Low rent apartments have been built all over town, and none of the roads widened to handle it all. What was once one of the greatest places in Florida is now a traffic jammed nightmare of low rent apartments and cookie cutter tract houses. The schooling so widley adevrtised has gone right down the drain with the influx of out of towners too. If you want to live in a facade of a real town, where they tore down the actual Historical Downtown and now call a strip mall donwtown, Oviedo is for you. BTW- there is daylight breakins to cars in thei downtown, with too small a police force to do anything about it. Give i 10 years and Pine Hills will look like a better choice.
Lol comments like these crack me up. Don’t get me wrong, totally empathetic to people who maybe lived in a town for 20+ years and hate that it’s not staying the same. But it’s so obvious your comment is in bad faith…but hey, I won’t judge. Thanks for watching R R :)
I've lived in Oviedo my whole life and I can say for sure the development here is growing out of hand, but I wouldnt say low rent apartments -- theyre well overpriced. Theyre just packin em in... and the traffic is indeed getting worse and worse and comparable to LA in the mornings. sitting at the same traffic lights 2-3+ times is now the normal.

Overpriced traffic nightmare. Schools deteriorated overcrowded classes.
Literally worse than Los Angeles…
Love Oviedo but don’t tell people they will destroy this gem of a town.
That's terrible, what a shame. Thanks for taking this video
Ok, Thanks
