top level jectpacks allow you to fly very fast and you can escape the laser, Direwolf did that in his last playthrough

i haven’t seen anyone try to kill the chaos guardian with an elytra as a main mode of flight maybe some attacks are easier to dodge
Btw if i'm not wrong one of the helmet upgrade make you invincible against chaos guardian.
While i play oceanblock i kill the guardian like 5 times without taking any damage.
I dont remember what is the upgrade name but i remember is helmet upgrade
Nice Episode. At least i have now an excuse why i died 3 times to chaos guardian too. And i am glad that i havent waited for Meka suit to be disappointed.

You can just dig down when the laser is about to start and cover the hole with obsidion and you will live. Atleast thats how i did the chaos guardian
iam crying when you teleported it was SO FUNNY
i just was browsing upgrades for the meka bow... there is a laser dissipation unit, it says it refracts and dissipates all laser damage

Really just kinda never liked when modpacks force you to fight the chaos guardian due to the awful balancing of it
I really don't think there's any balancing issues here as you can fight it with very little effort as shown in the video. However you only have to fight it once technically... At least to get through the main questline

hey, just a small misconception, you can dodge the laser really easy by just hiding behind the pillars, you just need to be like 3 blocks away from the pilar to not get damaged
I made a couple holes into the chamber below to hide from the laser. Worked better than trying to hide behind the blocks of the pillar.
But at the same time you can't fly so how even?
@@ChosenArchitect The laser phase doesn't remove flight.
@@ChosenArchitect the gem armor has the property to allow what is essentially infinite jump by keeping the space bar pressed and it gives enough speed to get behind the pilar on time, I must say you don't have much time and I would recommend to have the modules for the draconic chest plate that give the totem effect to give a lot more leeway in case you don't reach the pilar in time and it can be the only module (with some energy) in the chest plate as the gem armor can nullify any other source of damage
@@ChosenArchitect I could still fly with the gem armor it was just tough and hard to control. If you make the holes down near the center it makes it easier also. I think when he is charging the laser you are able to fly too.
you can fly with gem armour, with the tornado effect from pant or boots, when you press space you levitated, i kill him with that
The Chaos Guardian's damage is high enough to bypass even the protection of Gem Armor, just for the record.
I love the concept of the research aspect of this pack, but i really need a mod that acts as a material printer that uses power & EMC to print items rather than it just being the equivelent exchange like it is currently
That mod does exist and it's by the same dev as industrial foregoing. The mod is called replication and I did try it out in the testing of this pack. I thought about it and came to the conclusion that it would probably overcomplicate the EMC setup.

My playthrough was the first time I fought the chaos dragon.
I managed to beat it with only one death. The secret was a fully leveled up baubly heart container - including the soul container.
Requires a ton of hearts, but I just saved those in my mob farm with stack upgrades.
I was also paranoid and put soulbound on effectively everything. It goes on more stuff than you think!
I survived the laser beams with just obsidian at my feet. did have gemstone + draconic chestplate though.
also found it much easier to build a 1-block obsidian cage around myself at each pillar so when it pulled me in & disabled flight I could still be on the pillars waiting for his projectiles.
last time i fought the dragon. the laser module for the mek suit voids the laser. unless its changed since then.
O.o that would be amazing if that worked!
The reason the Mek armour is so weak is that it doesn’t block 100 percent of magic damage only 75 percent this means that the dragon can kill you
I think the dragon attacks just bypassed the mekasuit entirely as I didn't see any power drain on it.
And that seems crazy to me...

You can stand behind the pilars to hide for the laser, just be a bit further away from the pillar, it does an area effect
IIRC the Chaos Guardian is designed to bypass pretty much every other 'endgame' armour, specifically to make you go through the rest of Draconic AND still have a challenge. It was definitely that way back in the days of EE3, IC2 and MekMuse's Modular Powersuits.
So, yes, the Mek Armor is not immune to the balls. The Laser is the only actual threat when wearing a Draconic Chestplate. The damage the Chaos Guardian does ignores armor, so non-Draconic Evolution armor just gets ignored in most cases. Though as long as the laser doesn't get past the Draconic shield it doesn't kill. Even a sliver of the shield keeps you alive. So I usually just max the shield recharge stats rather than focusing capacity. As long as I have enough to not lose all my shield I don't need to worry between shots.
And, as pointed out by someone, putting stuff between you and the beam cuts the power, but it feels like it needs to be the draconic infused obsidian. Or it's based on distance like someone mentioned elsewhere. I'm not an expert, though I managed it on Hardcore, so...I feel like I know at least a bit. xP
Also btw, i can tell this pack is by far the best pack i played in terms of fun and having no tediousness. Thanks for that, also DW20 seems to enjoy the difference.
I just did this fight in effectively maxed out refined obsidian gear (apotheosis godforge, level 8+ enchants, the works). It still wrecked me, but I did make the draconic chestplate. Didn't know about the soulstone, or it wouldn't have managed the one time it did kill me. Tip for everyone else: If you're going to make a draconic weapon for this fight, make the bow. Ranged damage is king here. And the draconic gear can take apotheosis reforges. I managed to do over 2500 damage to a testing dummy with the bow.
if you stand like 10-15 blocks behind the obsidian pillars or a self made obsidian wall the laser will not damage you. your being hit by "splash"damage from the laser I always set my dislocator like 30 blocks behind a big obsidian wall and never have an issue
I killed the chaos dragon, and immediately upon breaking the crystal my game crashed. It was *very* laggy the whole fight.
The meka armor cant be enchanted? I think if can maybe will resist just the bomb the dragon do ,laser can bypass even gem armor so i dont think can bypass with enchant on meka armor .
I know exist a mod with neutron ingot and that armor is op ,in old version can resist laser beam from chaos dragon but in that version you cant have the protection from dragon evolution ,you have just the armor not the chest plate like now you can put in charms slot .
The fight looked great! Too bad I just held shift on him and kept him in the void so he would die from "natural causes" (and yes, it took me more than an hour lol)
hey chosen,I had the same issue in other modpacks with the meksuit not protecting me from the dragon,im pretty sure that its because of the draconic mod itself that only allows protection from the draconic armor and it ignores any other sort of armour,hope it helps :D
Anyone know a good way to power ME Controllers? I keep having the issue where I try to use larger cells and wireless boosters and it uses more power than it’s generating.
Did this with Gem armor and took 0 damage, you should have switched mid fight to it.
You killed the dragon so much faster than i did, lol. i tried to kill it with gem armor and the red katar, which meant i didn't die but it took sooooooo long
The beam has aoe where it hits, the beam is blocked by the pillars but the aoe isn't, stand back from the tower by like 20 blocks having the tower between you and the dragon. The crystals need chaos damage to remove there shields. Hence the best bow as it does chaos damage.
if you have enough unbreaking on the soul stone, you can tank the laser but it will be very loud
i survived the laser phase by falling into a 2 deep hole inside one of the towers. died immediately as i flew out
Sadly I had to cheat this fight and just kill it via console commands. Every time it spawned the Withers the thousands of particles just ground my PC to a halt. Granted, it's not a supercomputer, but neither it is a potato.
Worst popular mod in MC, in my opinion. Very badly designed.

Because I want to setup some of the Poway stuff in there but... I might change it... (I had plans to handle all the Poway things it it's own room making it really fast to craft all the Poway things)

It took me around 40 minutes but i managed to kill the chaos guardian with mythic reforged Gem Armour and the Katar with only dying once. The reforging from Apotheosis seems to be broken because i could easily tank the dragons attacks, as long as I didn't fly inside it.
I realy dis liked this fight, it simply was no fun.
Waiting for the fases to pass by, not being able to flie,
Just a 20 min fight where i need to wait for 18 of it, for him to finnaly shoot the towers, or be hittable.
if they would make it a hard fight, i would be fine with it, this was just irritating.
I feel that... I also feel like this update of Draconic doesn't seem finished... Maybe they are working on things
@@ChosenArchitect Well it did not ruin the pack, i had so much fun playing through it 2 times already :)
Yeah I spent 2 hours in this fight with a set of apotheosis mythic level ars elemental fire t4 set, katar, hammer, insane RF bow, and a bunch of other things mostly just because the dumb lizard wouldn't remove the invuln on the crystals and instead just randomly walked between 3 or 4 pillars on the other side of the arena, came back to spawn withers or the other 2 events and then flew past me without shooting and went back to the other side and repeated itself. The repair/soul star combo went off a few thousand times but I eventually beat it (with a max unbreaking enchant you can withstand the laser if you are lucky). The second fight I tried with chaos gear was a cakewalk that never even saw the laser or withers. The necessity of this fight is one of my only complaints about this pack. A tedious chore without the gated gear and a nothingburger with it...
I did learn a few things about the fight, for example if timed right you can escape an invuln event via ars leap and blink spells and the dragon will go back to circling (I had time during the crystal phase to try all sorts of different spells).
I'd say simply make the crystals not invulnerable (maybe replace them after some period or something like that instead; or put one back every time the dragon goes to the center?) and guarantee the laser happens at least once per fight. I'll keep in mind the idea of stealing the crystal while the dragon is there for next time.

You can teleport to inner ring islands to escape laser, I believe you got shot by his laser because you still saw his health bar and such still within his range.
I forgot to prepare a bow and had to used Katar. A fool I am.

I slapped on 2 Repair Talismans, 2 Soulstones with Unbreaking 8, and went to town
Unfortunately repair talismans do not stack effects while on the player/in your inventory. They do in alchemical bags and chests though. Otherwise, good setup.

@@mlogan2k2i mean if u got two soul stones and each death uses one, it's basically as good as having 2 talismans
@@potatopenguin5864 That may or may not be - I haven't done the research on that angle - but I know for a fact that talismans in inventory/curio slots do not stack.

Hi chosen here i am again, needing more HELP. I'm trying to automate archlution using Refined Storage, and I came up with the idea of using subsystems. However, my main problem is that I don’t know how to send only one batch of items per operation. I was thinking of using a detector, but the issue is that when the quantity is less than what I want, the items keep getting pushed.

@@ticokgkcury3481 you can use modular routers or laserio. there are plenty videos how to automate Powah with RS and the Energyzer has only valid crafts with the right amount.
i personally think draconic evolutions isnt really a great mod. because the only reason you would need its gear is for the boss that is then still not like a fun challenge but a hassle.
i used to not mind it but after the rework i straight up dislike all of it. the upgrade card deck upgrade system the dragon etc.
the one good thing in the mod is the energy core. everything else about the mod feels dated to me
When I played ATM9 to the Sky, i mined under my feet a few blocks and was surprised, I avoided the laser! 😁😁!
