SHOULD YOU BUY A BMW 1 SERIES? (F40)

My M240i had to get some work done so this is a quick review of my first thoughts on the BMW 118i courtesy car I borrowed for the day! Let me know your thoughts, would you buy one?

I am due to test-drive one next week. Having lived with a MINI Cooper for years, I expect the new 1series to be a reworked MINI, not a real BMW. I will reserve my verdict until I've driven it. I am very aware that alternatives are available.
