    A pair of 310s would compete with the Sony as a pair might not be as loud but I think the sound coming out of the 310s would be just as full and Rich

    I actually own 2 of the JBL Partbox 710 and I absolutely LOVE them! Awesome clear sound, pounding bass without distortion, and great lighting effects. My only issue is that it does not have the ability to mount it on a speaker stand. I'm actually trying to figure out if there's a way to customize it and add the mounting holes myself. Any suggestions?

      I would build a plate with a stand receiver on it and then strap the speaker down to it. Or something that clamps over the wheels to hold it down.

      I have 2 of the JBL Partybox 710 as well. Was thinking about single Partybox 1000, but i wanted stereo, it hits so hard, never expected so much power out these 2, are you using these more at home or for parties?

    • @avifleischer
      @avifleischer ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@justinasnalivaika7881 I use them to Deejay parties and to host Karaoke parties. I don't use them much at home other than for prep and testing. IMO the Partybox 1000 is way too large and cumbersome to be easily transportable. As a matter of fact, I find that 1 Partybox 710 is often overkill for small parties. Also, when you mention stereo, you need to be aware that if you use 2 Partybox 710's in Bluetooth TWS mode, then you get "True Stereo" (left and right channels). But if you daisy chain from one 710 to another 710 with a wire, the same sound comes out of both speakers and there's no "left/right" channels. You could use a mixer to connect the speakers to seperate channles and achieve true stereo. I only mention this because I would never rely on bluetooth for a gig where someone is paying me, and because I only use high quality FLAC "lossless" audio files and bluetooth compresses audio and you do not achieve the same quality as a wired connection. If you are using MP3 files or a streaming service, which is "lossy" to begin with, then it wouldn't matter as much. To sum it up, I know that the Partybox 710 is not officially a "professional" speaker, but they sure as hell sound and feel professional to me with the added convenience of built in PA/Karaoke for personal use and very small parties. I have no regrets about purchasing these for this use.

      @Avi Fleischer they kick ass..period...and you would have to be a muscle man to lift these 710's on a Tripod!!!...my 310's are enough to lift onto a tripod!!
      I think I would look for some kind of small folding table to get the 710's up higher to ear level ..then strap down. I would never mess or alter the casing of the 710.

    Can the Sony XV900 not be EQ'd to sound more like the JBL ive noticed with my Sony products ear buds and headphones that to get the real punchy bass and party vibe a EQ is needed so if the sony has an extensive EQ I could talor them to a more party sound profile vs the JBL pretty much being EQ'd for a party straight out the box. But from the sound comparison I have to say that the JBL speaker sounded more full and had the extra bass. But i do like the portability of the Sony being wireless the only issue is that 4 hours of continuous play back at full volume would not be enough if you have a new years eve party and go late into the night so i would still end up plugging them in, i do however like the versatility and they would be good for a home theater experience.

    I have no idea what "more refined" means in terms of audio in this instance. The Sony has the built-in battery, so that is a big plus if you really want to drag a huge speaker some place away from an outlet. As far as everything else goes, I see no wins for Sony other than LDAC support for those who have such streaming services that can utilize it. The XV900 in it's default Mega Bass mode has a warm sound with not much detail and clarity. This can be improved some by using the Sony app EQ, but even with the treble slider maxed out, the detail and clarity just doesn't match what you can achieve from the Partybox 710. And Sony doesn't allow you to use both Mega Bass mode AND custom EQ. The Partybox 710 is also louder, has deeper bass capability, better lights, better wheels, better controls, better app options......just well......better. I've done several videos on both of these speakers and there will be the fanboys of each brand, but the proof is in the pudding, so to speak😉

    At the end, the most important Thing is Sound!
    Here the Sony cant even compet in any way! To muddy less Bass all what u need isent there.
    So if u want a Monster Partyspeaker choose the 710 if u wanna this otg choose the 310 with Battery inside. The 310 got less Bass of cause but already more then the Sony here.
    Sony made the greatest Consol of all Time but in this Case they are only mid Range. Never heard a Sony speaker where i would say WOW amazing product.

      You need a bit more detail on what makes it disappointing as this feedback doesn't help anyone. For all we know, you're a rep for JBL just trying to downgrade competitors.

    • @randomtube8226
      @randomtube8226 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@GorgeofdespairDefinitely not my intention to downgrade anyone. I can only have one party speaker at a time. As of right now the Sony SRS XV 900 is the one I currently have. Believe it or not I chose it over the JBL partybox 710 due to dimensions. I needed a speaker that could fit below my projector screen without blocking any of the screen. To my surprise the Sony was right on the money. It couldn't get any closer to the size I needed. Seeing the big square subwoofer made me think it would be perfect for movies. Don't get me wrong it's good. Just not great in the low bass region. I listen to electronic music with very low bass the most because it's fun. For some reason when the bass drops low. Instead of pressurizing the room. The bass disappears all together. Not sure if Sony put a filter on it to reserve battery life or what. But it's part of my music that I'm used to hearing on other systems. I kid you not this speaker has everything else I could ever hope for. Just not the low low bass that I expected from a larger subwoofer. I think the price of this speaker had my expectations too high. I am able to connect my own external DAC with a wired connection and play DSD tracks. The clarity and detail retrieval is outstanding. I will say the Sony has a very good kick drum in the bass. That part I do enjoy. Again when the bass goes to drop to the bottom spectrum of human hearing it's just not there. I'm actually taking it pretty hard because it's so close. When you think party you want to feel the thump and pressure to the music and have fun. If the content is available in the media. You want to be able to play it. A portable Bluetooth speaker of this caliber should be able to do it all. Not being turned and optimized for the 20-30hz region was the deal breaker for me due to my type of music. Apologies for the long response. Hope this shines light on some more detail why it's disappointing for me. A linkable sepret subwoofer would probably solve my issue if Sony would ever make one.
