A note from our Director, Aideen Howard “This new strategy steers The Ark into its fourth decade of art for children, sure in our purpose to realise children’s right to art and culture. To mark our 30th birthday in 2025 we will extend our reach to children from birth to 12 including babies in our programming for the first time. We will continue to commission brilliant and daring Irish and international artists who share our artistic ambition for children and will build on our leading, rights-based child participation practice. Working together with these talented and diverse artists we will create playful, experimental art for today and imagine the art of tomorrow. We look forward to removing financial barriers through free programmes and new investment in schools, extending how we realise art in the lives of more children nationwide.”
