    Ravani (Sweet Semolina Cake)
    Ingredients list:
    Four eggs
    One glass of granulated sugar
    One and a half cups of flour
    One teacup of semolina
    One teacup of flower oil
    One pack of vanilla
    One pack of baking powder
    For the syrup:
    4 cups of granulated sugar
    4.5 cups of water
    Two slices of lemon
    Preparation:
    We crack the eggs that have reached the room temperature into the mixing bowl. We froth them with granulated sugar for 4-5 minutes at the highest speed of the mixer. Then add the sunflower oil and mix one more round, then add semolina, flour, baking powder and vanilla as shown in the video. We mix it with a spatula, put it in a oiled large glass oven ware and put it one level below the middle floor of the oven. The oven should be preheated at 170 degrees. Then we start to cook. It gets cooked in 35-40 minutes without turning the fan on. Let's be careful not to open the oven door or the cake will lose its puffiness. Let's check it out from the glass. Some ovens cook very quickly so let's be careful not to burn them. While our dessert is getting baked in the oven, we put sugar, water and lemon in a saucepan and boil it. After our syrup (sherbet) starts to boil, 5-7 minutes is enough. If we boil it too much, its consistency will become denser. We take the sherbet off the stove and leave it to cool down a little. After our dessert is off the oven, we pour the warm sherbet on. Let's keep it on the counter until it cools down completely. Then we put it in the refrigerator and cool it, then cut it into the slices, decorate them with ice cream and the fruits you want, and serve.
    Post Script: I think it’ll be better if you prepare the dessert as you watch the video. If you find the sugar amount too much, you can reduce it by half a cup. This dessert goes well served with cream on it.
