I got my son, he will be 12 next month, following your journey...I've been deep conditioning his hair every wash day for about 8 weeks...His hair is a lil over 4 inches mostly...Trying to grow out the tapered sides...I've been finger coiling his hair to keep it tame and protected...It lasts about 2 weeks...Always put his black bonnet on at night, if it comes off he has satin pillow case for back up...lol

I do allll of this and it looks great when i'm done. But during the day it dries out and goes into coils looking like shorter twists and not so much a curl.
Winter/Summer didn't make a difference for my hair. Is there anything i'm missing? And when I put the product in it STAYS white in my hair no matter how long I wait for it to dry out.
(I don't have a blowdryer, so does that remove the whiteness immediately?)

I tried this step by stepsons did everything correctly but still got the same similar results (disorganized curly hair). Although I’m guessing that this isn’t a instant result thing and that I have to keep doing this, but still I thought since my hair is naturally curly that this would work out right.
