Kevlar can be extremely durable but this test are jokes. Just make a teststrip out of the blade and make bending test and you will get impressive results
To the people saying kevlar is a fabric, kevlar is made of a chemical compound, kevlar is a manufactured plastic. It is used in fabric to make Kevlar Fabric
para-aramid aka kevlar is a fabric made from a specific synthetic polymer (the para part) kevlar is most often not mixed with anything however it is sometimes interwoven with another aramid, carbon fiber and less commonly than carbon fiber its also sometimes encased in resin just the same, it is weaker than carbon fiber but its also lighter hence why usually when you see kevlar in a solid state like this its almost always a interweave of carbon fiber and kevlar in resin. Dubble check your facts before making blanket statement, I did and I usually learn more about the topic and remove misconceptions i hold.
What I hear is “Stick did everything it was supposed to but wasn’t magically indestructible and broke one day after its expected lifetime and I’m pissed that it didn’t vastly exceed its lifetime.”
What I'm saying is for them pushing a kevlar high durability stick , lasted the shortest amount of time I've ever had for a stick. Not worth the money. We use their protective gear but sticks are junk . They have backed up their gear but sticks they said too damn bad. If you are fine buying a stick every month more power to you bud.
@@Flopie.the.great77 snapped on a shot in a game were they fused the blade and the shaft. It's junk! 2 other kids on my suns team bought one and they broke pretty quick.
How can the stick bend when its on flat ground. Its not like normal stick fold in half when ran over on flat asphalt. Idk enough about hockey sticks to put my two cents on the rest of the video, just felt it was a weird way to demonstrate it doesnt bend
I play field hockey with a Adidas 27.5 95% DF24 carbon and 5% fiberglass mix, I think it would survive the tests and be usable still, doubt it'd be as pretty though. Been using it for about 2 years, so it ain't as good looking as it used to be, but the striking face is just fine and it still hits a cross field shot like nothing, can shoot from top D to the other goal if I so wished, on a couple occasions during practice I hit goal to goal. This was on grass by the way, on astron it's even better.
@@elduderino007 It depends on the car, my friend ran over my foot with his car on accident and it definetly hurt so I don't know about "Wouldn't even hurt" but it didn't even bruise my foot.
Kevlar absorbs impacts really well, however, it doesn’t handle stress the same way. Those durability test were weak, they put the stick under no stress because they knew It would snap. Kevlar is also extremely flexible, again Ideal for body armor but not hockey sticks.
Honestly as an adult now and only playing with family and friends im really digging wood sticks, they just feel so whippy and have a bunch of give idk im probably wrong
It's always weird when companies makes adds where people use their products for things you'd never use it for. Unless you were trying to damage it for no reason
Those sticks getting the turbo flex treatment

Thank you someone else thought the same thing
Idk, the two tests after the door seemed legit

every hockey parents worst nightmare

The worst durability test ever.
???
Thats the whole point
@@SPYdgCW okay
Yeah I was about to say, I don't play hockey but I feel like it would be weird if even a low quality stick couldn't take hits like those
That’s the joke
It would have been funny if she said”No thanks, I was just curious.”
Same. I was hoping she’d go for the cheapest option.
I’m very surprised Lazer didn’t come out of nowhere
Luckily he was on vacation
@@thehockeyshop lolol
Now try anything that actually puts stress on the stick, I can buy a three dollar one at Walmart that passes each of those tests just as well
Exactly.

thats the joke, they understood that she was gullible enough to see the tests as valid
It's satire bruv
Literally 😂

Thought it said "kidnapper hockey stick"
He just misspelled it
I thought so too😂
Broke 6 days after warranty was up. Told us too bad. No more knapper sticks for us.

This is it, the weapon powerful enough to withstand Caseoh destructive weight
I can do most of those stunts with my old wooden stick.
I watched this whole thing thinking it was a skit because of how "badly" you were damaging the stick lmfao

That’s carbon though, it’s stronger than Kevlar
Satire
Colt stick better
Does ahe not know what kevlar is? It is used in many plate carriers.
I m pretty sure i can break it in one jump
Even weakest of hockey sticks could have withstood those "torture tests". You can drive a car over your foot and it wont really hurt. Do you even try?

no
Oh ok
Outofproportion yes it is , its just the patent name on a artificial fabric made from plastic threads

What car was that? Subaru what?
Plot twist the other stick bending was not supposed to happen and that was a genuine reaction.
Kevlar is genuinely a shit material for this. Carbon fiber would be way better because it’s lighter and more shock absorbing
I should buy it for street hockey
