A lot of people less adverse to risk need to be eased into something like jumping off a pissing cable car, nothing makes me want to do something less than peer pressure. Call me a pussy, snowflake or say I need to man up as much as you like, but the more you insist, the more I’m going to say no.
I'm the exact same, being pressured into something just makes me want to do it less. Peer pressure has never worked on me.

The biggest tragedy is that they could have at least kept the reaction in for us to see. They could have just removed the footage and left the audio or removed it all together and still left their reaction. Would have LOVED to see their reaction. Oh well.

Some of those men in Tana actually took part in a channel 4 documentary where they visited the UK and lived with a upper, a middle, and working class family, and finished the show meeting Prince Philip in person at Windsor castle (which they showed Karl).
They claimed to preferred living in a working class home as it was most similar to their lives on Tana, and they were completely mystified by homelessness, if someone in their tribe doesn't have a home every man of the tribe builds them one.
They're lucky to have land which hasn't been enclosed yet. When I was staying in Malawi, one of our friends asked us to stay permanently, and I was like "but where would we live?" - he just looked baffled and said "I'll build you a house over there."

When that guy working at the bungee jump says "man up" is the minute I'm on Karl's side, gtfo with the toxic masculinity shit. Lets find out your phobias and mock them in front of a crowd and television crew.
I 💯 % agree with you. That man or bully to be precise had no right to try and make Karl feel embarrassed for not doing the bungie jump. Stephen and Ricky should have listened to Karl in London. He said he didn't want to do the jump. And for that man to say to Karl man up. Who does he think he is.
The end of the day we all have fears , I am so terrified of spiders I can't even handle them on a movie or in a magazine and if one is in my home then I'm not in it , I'll.sleep somewhere else until its gone..I also don't like birds

The route 66 one is one of my favourite episodes. The ending is the best scene ever.

That episode has my favourite moment of the entire 3 seasons of this series: when Karl attempts to use "the traffic" as an excuse to get away when the road has about 1 car passing every hour.

Hes a fantastic actor. He's great in Derek. You should react to that its one of the best comedies ever written. It makes you cry with laughter cry with sadness it makes you happy then angry. It's an emotional rollercoaster it's genius

Prince Phillip founded the WWF the World Wildlife Foundation so he travelled to many places distant places for that foundation which is how he met the tribe.
The World Wrestling Federation WWF had to change its name to World Wrestling Entertainment WWE as they were taken to court by The World Wildlife Foundation as they were created first. For a long time Vince McMahon paid them a annual fee to keep the abbreviation but it finally had to change when the World Wildlife Federation became angry & humiliated when they would often make visits to African nations and the locals were disappointed because they were expecting famous Wrestlers 😂

Reactors often have to cut scenes for a variety of reasons such as copyright issues or nudity. In this case it was most likely cut because of nudity.

Why was land diving missed out?
I was at the doctors many years ago and read one of the magazine's there while I was waiting, and one story talks about an office party group went bungee jumping, one of the office staff was apparently a cocky, annoying know it all, and he got on everyone's nerves, what ever you had done, he had done bigger and better, you now the type ( a prick of the highest caliber) anyways they set him up, he was giving it the biggen saying he'll jump first, so they strapped him in and when he jumped the instructor shouted no not yet your not strapped in, the guy screamed his head off all the way down, all I can say is that he was wearing a white shirt, but it was brown when he got off the bungee, needless to say the fella never came back to work 🥴
When Karl said I ain't bungi jumping and they put him in that suit they were going against his wish therefore breaking the law. He's right their idiots who do that. Rick says you'll be kicking youself. but would he himself jump

Ive done a skydive and a bungee jump and once you're doing it, its spectacular beyond belief

Do Derek!!! The show is full of genuine heart, genuine laughs and really goes under the radar, gervais plays derek amazingly well. Also forgot to mention the funniest character ever written, Kevin 😂

@@pitchdark2024 extras is awesome, can't argue with that. Just my personal opinion, I though Derek had the laughs but also had a lot of heart, both were great... Gervais and merchant are genius.
@@pitchdark2024 yes both are good, i guess Derek isn't everyone's cup of tea. The best thing Gervais did was idiot abroad, also "lifes to short" is funny. They are just fun, easy watching TV... Which I like. Shame you didn't like Derek, it's worth it just for Kevin 😂 at least watch the outtakes, some of the funniest I have seen.

Route 66 is my favorite of this season. Season 3 was rubbish. Couldn't stand Warrick Davis. He comes across as pompous. Constantly going on about how great he is and the roles he played. Haven't liked him since.

Love your reactions to Karl among other shows. But his point about happiness being "like a cake" (e.g. if you eat nothing but birthday cake for days, the novelty wears off) is obviously true, if not profound, to anyone over the age of 18. If that's all you get in life, then clearly happiness wears off. We need pain for the good times to matter.
Although Karl is framed as an idiot he comes out with some excellent lines at times. I did appreciate his point about happiness. It is a bit like idololising a member of the opposite sex, you are really attracted to them but you see them only occasionally. If you get to live with them you get to know their bad side as well as their good side, and the infatuation wears off.
Callie, don't feel bad about not seeing Castaway. I haven't either. Never seen Titanic or any of the Matrix movies. The looks I get when people hear I haven't seen them is hilarious.
Then how lucky for you that you can still look forward to watching those iconic films.
I myself haven't seen any of the Star Wars films or most of Harry Potter or any of the Monty Python movies. Though I do look forward to watching them eventually.
