- One of the most important fictional characters of all time, to me, is Hugh Jackman's Fox X-Men version of Wolverine. I absolutely loved this character and connected so much with the movies and stories that he was in, and his portrayal of Logan has always meant the world to me. This character appeared in so many movies, including X-Men, X-2 X-Men United, X-Men 3 The Last Stand, X-Men Origins Wolverine, X-Men First Class, The Wolverine, X-Men Days Of Future Past, X-Men Apocalypse, Logan and even Deadpool 2. I can't wait to see Hugh Jackman play Wolverine alongside the Ryan Reynolds Deadpool in Deadpool 3, which is taking place in the MCU. #wolverine #xmen #deadpool3

Wolverine is my favorite X-Men character and I'm truly glad Hugh Jackman was the wolverine. I was born in 99, but the first time I saw Hugh Jackman as wolverine was in origins and I loved him in it. I'm happy that I learned about X-Men. Honestly we need an omega Red vs wolverine movie.

I like how this Wolverine started out assuming a child guardian role and years later went out doing the exact same thing but under much worse circumstances in Logan. Like George Lucas said, it's like poetry it rhymes

To grow up around a time when hugh jackman being wolverine for two decades and to come back around this year makes me grateful enough that he is the only one that can portray wolverine, no one can replace him.
honestly, I loved Hugh so much growing up as Wolverine I was a colossal Xmen fan, especially the 90s cartoon and he made the character come to life for me!
I love your video on this and Hugh Jackman. Helped me with still getting back up even after going through alot of pain and losing people. I loved x-men 1 and 2 and love the unrated the Wolverine even with its flaws. And logan is a perfect finale and beautiful masterpiece. Added with me liking days of future past. To me what I love About Wolverine it felt more like a spiritual journey where he builds new relationships but also finds a purpose which no one realizes is that in the mcu they do Lot of fighting the bad guys and Don't show them protecting much in some of the movies. Where in all the Wolverine movies and in his x-men they showed a dark and grity traumatic character protect every single time. Like he protected rogue, the kids in the xmansion, Kayla and the kids that got taken, Mariko multiple times, Yukio, the x-men again, Charles and Laura and her friends. I watch all of his appearances and was just realizing he protect in all his movies his fight are like a raging animal but he was always doing it to protect someone which makes him again the most heroic character ever.
If we’re talking about fictional heroes who changed my life, mine would probably have to be Luke Skywalker.
In many ways he was the traditional zero to hero, but in so many ways he was different. He ended up defying the expectations placed on him by others (killing Vader or turning to the dark side), even redeeming his father when no one else believed in him.
His growth in ROTJ especially resonated with me a lot because he went from some whiny brat to this calm and composed Jedi with an unshakable faith in his beliefs.
Even in the face of death, he would not turn or repeat his father’s mistakes.
All of this makes him a staple of my childhood.

He brought substance to the Character. And noone /nobody is able to replace him as Wolverine.
It took me a while to understand Origins, I never hated it, but now i think it is the movie that best portrays the Wolverine (besides Logan ofc) the action scenes are shot like a saturday morning cartoon and unfortunately that's the only thing people remember about it and the TERRIBLE vfx only make those scenes worst. But Origins perfectly captures the tragedy of the character, even when i watched it for the first time as a kid, by the end of it i was like "damn that's so fkd up, that's so sad" and it was only the beginning of his journey.
I love X-Men Origins Wolverine but I think I like The Wolverine is better. I’d encourage anyone to give it a rewatch. I don’t want the movie to be forgotten. Logan is by far the best Wolverine movie but I think The Wolverine is my second favourite followed by X-Men Origins Wolverine.

I love Hugh’s Wolverine even though I haven’t seen all of the things he’s in . I haven’t seen Logan and The Wolverine. Wolverine is one of my favourite characters of all time. I loved the X-Men trilogy and Days of Future Past but Origins was kinda bad.

About Logan, I think both Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman were robbed of Oscar nominations for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor. Like Days of Future Past, Logan is actually better than the source material.

I remember the Wolverine cameo in First Class had the audiences cheer while rolling in the aisles. It was so perfect for the character to tell Xavier and Magneto to go f**k themselves

I loved Logan because he was part of my childhood, reminded me of my dad because mom hammered home their similarity, even though dad is way more layed back but has his own temper…. Yeah they are quite similar but not….. If you take Tim Allen and Wolverine, you get my Dad.
What I’m trying to say is this helped me see more of Logan’s character and text, and why I love this gruff hero, and he is a Hero.
Hugh Jackman really solidified Wolverine as an iconic character. I wish they would have done more with Sabertooth. I hated Sabertooth as a comic book character until Liev Schreiber played him.
If you've noticed, most of Wolverines journey has been about growing as he is forced to be a babysitter over and over. In X-Men, hes forced to be Rogues babysitter. In X2, Wolverine is forced to be a babysitter for Rogue, Iceman and Pyro. In X-Men 3, Logan is forced to be a babysitter for the entire team. Then in X-Men Origins, hes forced to be a babysitter to his own half-brother. The Japanese princess in The Wolverine. Then in Days of Future Past, Wolverine is forced to be a babysitter for Xavier, Magneto and Beast. Then again hes forced to be a babysitter for the older Xavier and his daughter in Logan. People make fun of these movies constantly making so much out of Wolverine. But this heroes journey needed to come to an end.
Not even Robert Downeys Iron Man was given this much character and depth. Logans final sacrifice was totally earned

Jackman will always be the live-action Wolverine. Hes Wolverine like Reeve will always be Superman, Robert Downey will always be Iron Man, Wesley Snipes will always be Blade, and Ryan Reynolds will always be Deadpool, etc. The thing is Hugh Jackman has made an effort to be better and better in the role. You've got to respect that... even if you hate how tall he is.

The day this news came out I messaged the news on Hugh to my nephew and even he said I'm gonna tell my fiancee I have a new reason to live 😂 but I totally get that feeling too as high is absolutely legendary as wolverine and I'm so damn happy to see my childhood hero again. My first VHS was X-Men 2000s and I still have that to this day just because it was my very first piece of media I owned

I wouldn't want a new actor to take over as Wolverine for a while, tbh. But as a spiritual successor, I would LOVE a movie (or multiple) focusing on Dafne Keen's Laura/X-23.

I loved the new Wolverine cameo in Apocalypse. It was a far greater introduction to the Weapon X character than... whatever that was in X-Men Origins.
And I totally agree with you. Apocalypse isnt nearly as bad as people make it out to be. It's not a great, near perfect superhero movie like Days of Future Past. It's great fun though.

I honestly really enjoy origins wolverine, not for it's quality or story telling, it's just an enjoyable movie to watch, one of the more enjoyable x-men movies imo

16:54 The films didn't do Sabretooth well either. In 1 he was just Magneto's henchman and in Origins he's just there so Logan agrees to get adamantium bonded to his bones. Him and Stryker faking Kayla's death was stupid.
6:43 Comic and animated Rogue are great but film Rogue was a glorified plot device.
I hope in the new Deadpool movie or in his own movie we get that classic yellow and blue suit or yellow and brown suit. Also did you guy's know that he was going to make a cameo in Tobey Maguire's Spider man 1 but it didn't happen because they forgot his suit.
Myself I didn't like his height and the way he looked so young, I mean the guy had lived 2 lifetimes already and all the stress trauma and drama that came with it, but I have always said if you liked it good on you, you won't see me hating on you or anyone else
