Roman Republic AoE2 DE (Enhanced Graphics Pack) | Age of Empires 2

Romans(Roman Republic) but for AoE 2. For those who don't know, this is the Rome at War mod or Romae ad Bellum, which is a fan-made total conversion mod for Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition developed by TheConqueror753 and Caesar3842, first released on September 11, 2021. Though it shares the name of the "Rome at War" mod for Age of Empires II: The Conquerors, it is independently created and has a greater scope. It is based on civilizations of the classical antiquity period, spanning roughly from 500 BC to 500 AD.
Here are the stats of the Roman civilization:

-Praetorian Guard (Roman Republican heavy infantry that is effective against infantry.)
-Legionary (Infantry)
Unique technologies:
-1A. Testudo (Legionaries, Foot Archers (Including Skirmishers), and Praetorian Guards get +1/+1 armor)
-1B. Manipular Pilae (Ranged Legionaries fire 25% faster; Also gain a charge attack on their projectiles)
-2A. Marian Reforms (Legionaries cost -25% and train 20% faster)
-2B. Principate (Can train 5 free Praetorian Guards per Fort; Elite Praetorian Guards also enabled at the Town Center)
Civilization bonuses:
-Advancing to the next age costs -20%
-Technologies (except Aging up) researched 50% faster
-Town Watch and Town Patrol free
-Infantry +1 attack per age (starting in the Early Antiquity Age)
-Shipyards work 25% faster
-Boarding Ships +1 range, +1/+1 armor
Team bonus: Scorpions fire 50% faster

Strange that they given the Roman Republic the Preatorian Guard that were the Guard of the Emperor. They could given them Triarii.

@@abdelrahmantarek8161triari were the most veteran men among the army, also the most dangerous. There were the last line in the legion, remember that all the lines had intervals so Romans had fresh men all the time and avoid having over exhausted and wounded men. The other first lines were hastati and principes.
Most of praetorian guard came from the Triari, they were dangrous af.

oh very nice i am definitely gonna steal some of these skins here and mod them into standard aoe2 reskins, just need to decide which units gets to be a cool roman now, maybe longswords since i never liked how they look.

The legionaris looks that there wear the lorica secmentata(on the shulders) not the lorica hamada like in the Gallic Wars under Ceasar in the time of Marius and the Repulik

I think aoe2 legionnaires should be a mix of militia line and skirms. A part of that centurion could unlock exclusive battle formation for legionaries. 🙌🏻

the wonder is the Curia Iulia aka the senate house build by Julius Caesar (after the old one had been destroyed in a fire) it was in use till the gothic war of justinian
