Floor (current singer): 2013 to 2020+ everyone knows Floor, she's super popular with everyone, especially right now, and is a really good singer, having a huge variety of singing capability (pop, classical/opera, belting, growling/raspy), able to sing nightwish's old songs that were for Tarja's classical/opera singing, as well as new songs for her own variety/range of singing abilities Unfortunately for Annette, she's a pop/rock singer, and a very good singer too, but her pop/rock singing just didn't go that well with nightwish's music, which was made for Tarja's dark classical/opera singing. So, usually, she gets left out. so, it comes down to "Targasm” (Tarja) vs “Floorgasm” (Floor) in terms of the Nightwish singers in who you like most, if you like classical/opera singing better, Tarja is better at it, but that's all she does back when with nightwish, as nightwish was created for tarja's unique dark operatic singing/voice, (now with her own band, or solo, she does a greater range of singing), but she does it really well, she's really got a beautiful voice, if you like more pop singing, belting and growling/raspy, with or without classical/opera singing, than you like Floor better I knew nightwish from the early 2000s, so Nightwish will always be with Tarja, but Nightwish with Floor is really good too, but it's Tarja, who's my favorite singer with nightwish (many others will help you out with Floor's songs, so I'll just stick to Tarja's songs here) ---------- if you do like Tarja with nightwish, here's some good ones: (just make sure the song performances are before 2006, else it's not tarja who is singing) (NOT ranked, just listed) 1. Kinslayer 9. she is my sin 10. wish I had an angel 11. slaying the dreamer 12. the siren 13. dead to the world 14. 10th man down 15. walking in the air 16. ghost love score 17. dark chest of wonders 18. bless the child and many more too ------ this is about the 'phantom of the opera' with tarja nightwish, but it applies to tarja for all other NW songs too: Tarja has her own stage performance/presence, but the focus is on the entire band (much more respectful), unlike with floor, where the focus is almost entirely on her, and also, Phantom of the Opera isn't about that much showmanship, so you're not seeing more of Tarja's performance/presence (love how the camera work and Tarja worked together, with her ducking down, seeing Marcus as he delivered his singing, and then Tarja stands back up, seeing her face back in the camera as Marco's part ends and hers begins again, Tarja is really such a team player, as she could have had all the focus upon herself, like Floor gets, but instead she chooses to give the entire band the respect and focus that they too deserve, it's not all about Tarja, like it is with Floor, despite how good Tarja is and thus how she could be the entire focus with nightwish, as is Floor with nightwish) there's other songs, where Tarja has way way way more stage performance/presence/showmanship, including hair windmills, rocking an invisible guitar along with empuu rocking his guitar, along with her doing her squatting too as she sings and taps her foot/leg to it, as she's swinging those hips too, along with her getting the crowd involved as well too, and etc stuff, you got to watch way more songs, to really see her amazing stage presence/performance and showmanship, as Phantom of the Opera is likely the one song with the least of that stuff, due to the nature of the song itself, being about their singing (contrasting and then cacophonous harmonous duet, nothing can compete with Tarja and Marco voices duet'ing), though Marco and Tarja had a bit of showmanship and fun snuck into it, with Marco pointing to his face and Tarja's facial expression reactions, while both song their parts
Tarja is a solo artist since she left Nightwish, ( Finland) yet she often does duets. Recently one with ex Nightwish baseplayer Marco Hietala. Within Temptation is a Dutch band that’s been around like forever, you can Google the exact dates. Once about 10 years ago Within Temptation was one of The Netherlands main export products! I know this as I’m also Dutch and very proud of this National treasure. European symphonic metal is the best in the world, they often work together.
Here's the very cool backstory on this song and video- Sharon (WT lead singer) wrote the song and after they recorded the demo, she felt something was missing. She thought it needed a more classical voice. People assumed that Sharon and Tarja were rivals because they were in the same genre. But Sharon's first thought was to ask Tarja if she would be interested. The two had NEVER met in person until the day of this video recording! Ten years later, they're the best of friends and Tarja shows up to sing it live with them whenever she can. That's how awesome these two ladies are!

Sharon and Tarja were two of my favourites growing up! :) Tarja split from her first band, Nightwish, but she has been kinda iconic in the metal scene ever since, because of her powerful operatic vocals and unique timbre :) I'm so happy you liked her!! Love theiir most recent stuff even more than the 201x content.
Within Temptation came to my city last year but I didn't know about it until after the fact. But Tarja also came around last summer and I was able to go see her. She's still as great as she ever was! She's always been classy, and she still is.
Both of the women are legends in Europe and rightfully so. Tarja on the left is the original female singer from Nightwish. Her version of Sleeping Sun is what turned me onto Nightwish. Sharon on the right is singer with Within Temptation. She's a spitin' image of past girl friend of mine. She brings many great memories. Within Temptation and Nightwish are rabbit wholes you wanna go down.
Tarja is simply incredible. It's beautiful to hear her work in the studio, but it's a unique experience to see her videos live. She manages to surpass herself in each of them and they end up being better than the songs recorded in the studio. Please react to more of Tarja's solo work, feat. and her work with Nightwish

So most people recommended you Tarja songs(and you should go down that rabbit hole she's awesome too). But Within Temptation wise? You gotta know two things. One, they've been around for over 25 years. Two, Sharon can pretty much sing everything. So they had a symphonic metal era, currently they're more metalcore... Also they did a collaboration with Xzibit at one point. They're crazy like that. And yes they make it work. If I were to recommend you some stuff... Mother Earth from the Black Symphony concert - heck everything from there tbh. And if you want more recent stuff, either Don't Pray for Me or Bleed Out. Or you can do their latest single A Fool's Parade 😊😊

Tarja (Tar-ya) is the voice the created symphonic metal. She's a co-founder of Nightwish and has an extremely successful solo career, with one of the most eclectic catalogs you'll find. She's also know as Queen of Metal. It was Tarja hitting the high notes. She sing opera as well. I suggest checking out the live version from Hellfest. Both of the legendary singers, plus the band are best heard live.
The title Queen of Metal went to Doro 20 years earlier because she was already making successful metal in the 80s ;-) Nowadays you could also call her Queenmum because of her age.

Doro and Lita have a duel on Google Trends. The demand for Lita is continually falling, while Doro is holding its own. Lita used to have a lead that melted away. It is foreseeable that Doro will overtake Lita. Unless natural death ends the duel.

Tarja was Nightwish's first lead vocalist, and is classically trained. Sharon has a great voice also...as you could hear. Like Nightwish....I have yet to hear a bad song from them! Tarja (Tar-ya) is the voice the created symphonic metal. She's a co-founder of Nightwish and has an extremely successful solo career, with one of the most eclectic catalogs you'll find.
She's also know as Queen of Metal.
It was Tarja hitting the high notes. She sing opera as well.
I suggest checking out the live version from Hellfest. Both of the legendary singers, plus the band are best heard live.
The title Queen of Metal went to Doro 20 years earlier because she was already making successful metal in the 80s ;-) Nowadays you could also call her Queenmum because of her age.
@Mischnikvideos actually the title was given to Lita Ford originally who'd been going strong since the 70s along with Joan Jett and the Runaways, then of course her solo career.
@@coachmikesfilmroom3111 Wikipedia also lists Lee Aaron. When I look at the chart positions, Doro is still regularly in the German-language charts. Lee and Lita are no longer in any. Doro and Lita have a duel on Google Trends. The demand for Lita is continually falling, while Doro is holding its own. Lita used to have a lead that melted away. It is foreseeable that Doro will overtake Lita. Unless natural death ends the duel.

Tarja was Nightwish's first lead vocalist, and is classically trained. Sharon has a great voice also...as you could hear. Like Nightwish....I have yet to hear a bad song from them!
If you want to hear Tarja sing with Marko ( from Nightwish ) sing his new song, "Lost on Mars"... which is exceptional!!!
