Yes that was Eddie Murphy playing the white Jewish man in the barbershop. Eddie and Arsenio Hall each played 4 characters in this movie. It came out in 1988 and a lot of people still don't know Eddie played the old Jewish guy in the barbershop.
Wesley Snipes is not in this movie. He's in the sequel. In THIS movie, Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall are the main stars and they each play 4 characters.
Of course that was Eddie Murphy playing the elderly Jewish guy. There's a behind the scenes video showing how they change Eddie into the character. You should see Eddie's 1996 movie NUTTY PROFESSOR. Eddie plays 7 characters in that one.
Most of Queens is actually quiet and middle class. The only two rough areas (Jamaica and Corona) just get a lot of attention because of Hip Hop culture. Oh and in the 80's NYC was WAY more violent . We're talking 5 times the current murder rate.
Most people overlook him, but that's Cuba Gooding Jr in the barber's chair not getting his hair cut. You guys should check out some of Eddie's other classics like Harlem Nights, Boomerang, LIFE, Vampire in Brooklyn, The Golden Child, The Nutty Professor or Norbit
"So why did you come here?" "To find something special." "It's a long way to travel." "No journey is too great when one finds what he seeks." Fun Fact: Cuba Gooding Jr., an Oscar winner, and Vondie Curtis-Hall, an Emmy and SAG Award nominee, made their first on-screen appearances in this film. Zamunda Forever Fact: Zamunda is the name of the fictional African country the main characters are from. This name was taken from a Richard Pryor routine where he referred to a fictional African tribe of the same name. Double Duty Fact: This was the first time Eddie Murphy played multiple characters in the same film, inspired by Peter Sellers who did the same in Dr. Strangelove Or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb (1964). This would become a trademark of Murphy. After the make-up and clothing was applied for the Saul character, Eddie Murphy wanted to test the make-up and costume out. He got a golf cart and drove from one studio department to another in Paramount Studios. He would get out of the cart and say "Hi. I'm Eddie Murphy." in his regular voice. No one believed him. Before The MCU Fact: The homeless men that receive the money from Prince Akeem (Eddie Murphy) are the Duke brothers (Ralph Bellamy and Don Ameche) from Trading Places (1983) also directed by John Landis. In that movie, Billy Ray Valentine (Eddie Murphy) was responsible for The Dukes losing their fortune. The Dukes theme from the movie can be heard in the background. Apparently, Landis didn't like the idea because it would be too self-referential, even though he is known for breaking the fourth wall in his movies. It led to a conflict with producer George Folsey Jr., until star Eddie Murphy decided that it was a great idea.
You guys should have watched Eddie Murphy in Trading Places first, then you would have gotten the joke about him giving the homeless guys the bag of money. Yes, Eddie played so many parts, from the white guy in the barbershop to Sexual Chocolate And Arsenio played the preacher to one of the women in the bar
Guys I personally would love to see you react to some classic kung fu movies... there are so many great ones that your right people don't react to much, this would stand you guys apart from all different reactors.
Speaking of confusing Arsenio Hall with Wesley Snipes, watch the movie Passenger 57. I don't want to spoil anything, but you will get the joke once you do.

Do the kung fu joints. I'll let the world know.
This movie is an all-time classic, but don't bother with the sequel. It's unwatchable garbage.
