Manufactured by Sonics & Materials Inc (Vibra-Cell) as an OEM product for Cole-Parmer. The label on the back panel states it is a Cole Parmer Model CPX-600; the boot/splash screen displays “Cole Parmer VCX-600” upon power-up. Probe/Converter is a model CV26.
This system is very similar to the Cole Parmer 500 Watt (item EW-04711-30) and 750 Watt (item number EW-04711-40), which sell new for $4570.00 and $5,035.00, respectively.

The system being sold in this auction comes complete with the base unit (controller with high voltage ultrasonic power supply) and probe/converter (piezoelectric transducer) with a 1” diameter tip or horn. This is a much more capable unit than many of the smaller, inexpensive, lower-power sonicators being sold.

This unit features a temperature controller function whereby the temperature of the solution is monitored (via optional temperature probe, available in my other Ebay auction) and the ultrasonic power can be terminated when the sample reaches the desired set-point temperature, selected by the user. A pulser function can also be used to provide intermittent operation via a set period. A timer function also keeps track of elapsed time.
