    If your F30 didn't come equipped with M Sport package, i think what you're experiencing is expected. I lowered my 440i xDrive F36 Gran Coupe M Sport with EDC with an Eibach pro kit US catalog 10% stiffer than stock springs so more control without harshness in ride. Ride was almost same as stock and firmer when on Sport with no issues. Minimal drop of 0.8" front and 0.6" rear...very subtle drop. Based on my research H&R and Dinan springs is to be avoided as they are typically at least 30% stiffer than stock. xDrives do not like to be lowered more than 1.5" in front because that puts their suspension geometry out of spec so they often begin to break front drive shafts. Perhaps change your damper with B16 Damptronic kit from Bilstein, KW or Ohlins

    Appreciate your video... It's Crazy cause I have my H&R sport spring box sitting here in my garage waiting to be installed in my F10 535i m sport.. After hearing what you just said about the issue with keeping the original shocks I couldn't agree with you more... I never even thought about that.. Man you saved me from getting future headaches. I guess it would be smart to install these springs with a set of new shocks all at the same time instead of ripping the crap out twice. Anyway thank you for your input, and all the efforts you put into your videos.. Very helpful!!

      Update... I went the BC Racing coilovers way, and couldn't be happier!! Stance is set absolutely perfect and the ride is better than the stock M-sport setup.. It was the full adjustability that caused me to return my H&R springs and go this route..
      The best choice I've made on this car!

    The best spring setup you can do for an f3x with edc is h&r sport springs with dinans suspension tune. My 435i was really bouncy in comfort mode because the dampening was too soft for the spring rate after dinans suspension tune the car drives much smoother and is more planted over bumps at speed.

    How does the adaptive suspension interact with the lowering springs? Does the comfort mode, sport mode, etc adjust the suspension and does the lowering springs affect it as well? Sorry new to the bmw game

    • @ayyyman_
      @ayyyman_  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So this car actually doesn’t have adaptive dampers. That was an additional option that this car wasn’t spec’d with. But if it did have it, it should still work since you’d only be changing the springs and not the actual dampers

    I guess I just don't understand, you're saving money with lowering springs? IMO that's an expensive BMW. Seems well worth it to get the $1500 coil-overs. This isn't an old civic. Maybe I'm mis-judging the value of this vehicle.

    • @ayyyman_
      @ayyyman_  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The car (excluding the mods) is worth only about 17k I would say. These lowering springs cost about 250 so still much cheaper than even a cheaper set of coil overs. Overall; if I could go back, I would’ve done Bilstein coilovers

      I paid $1,000 to paint the front bumper, rear bumper and side skirts. My OEM bumper was PPF’d but I never did my new one. I personally don’t care as much about it since it’s an aftermarket bumper

      @@ohreally4752I did the conversion and it’s honestly not worth. I paid about $500 for an unpainted front bumper, $500 for an unpainted rear bumper, $250 for painted M sport skirts, and then $400 per bumper to paint them both. I did all the installation myself and it came out to around $1650. That’s not including wheels, steering wheel, and all other trims needed for the ‘proper’ conversion.
