Made in Bradford I do believe. When I worked on a small dairy farm the farmer had a 574 and his neighbours had three 674's. These tractors had the gear shift on the left side of the seat. Quite a fast tractor back then and really reliable. One of my favorites.

Made in Doncaster actually. We had one of the last 674's off the line, (1977) reliable it certainly wasn't (Sadly) but there were a few of us around at the same time that had IH tractors with similar issues, the factory going on strike a few times didn't help. It was nice to drive but the Massey 168 we had which was officially less hp than the 674 had more grunt. (66 as opposed to 78) Anyway after 5 years we'd had enough of it either being in the dealers for repairs or in the yard having jobs done on it so we swapped it for a 78 hp Renault which was twice the tractor the Inter was. ( Far more reliable too).

we have and use every day a 674 with a loader , very reliable and she has so much grunt pulls our 4 furrow plough , and really good on the mower , one thing IH di better than any others is the power streeing i think

I ploughed for fodder kale once with a 574 and was really impressed it didn't need to change down gear or used much fuel, compared to the John Deere 2030 68hp (72hp SAE) it drank fuel and it needed the hi low alot compared to the 574 which it didn't have one.

We used to have a 574 hydro years ago, was a bit noisy,and used to whine a lot, went like the clappers on the road though
