Good day from Ontario, Canada. Back in 70's when they first came out, I thought the world of them. Good speed on road, 8 spd scyr. & 2 spd pto. light work 1000 shaft running 540. Over here in winter they are hard starter, unless plug in. I think I,ll have to sub, to see more. Where are you? Thanks
the parking stand to remove loader clips on to loader arms not bolted in to frame to remove you need a bucket or grab to set it down and you need to tie the frame round the bonnet to the loader arms to stop it falling when parked if you dont its a nightmare to refit
They were a pocket rocket but they needed the proper oil in the back end and the right coolant in the radiator. Handbrakes were a nightmare to keep right. Other than that very capable game little tractor.
They were a great tractor. As far as l know she has a perkins engine. Body seems very tidy and great little loader. Was she local or how ye stumble upon her?
I haven't looked to see yet if it has a perkins engine in her but the body work is in a very tidy condition only with very minor rust spots on the bottom of the door. We came across her when we were speaking to the dealer about originally replacing the case farmall but they had that in stock so we bought it and decided to keep the case for another 2 or 3yrs.
We've got one, an 1974 model same Quickie 3260 loader, ( we don't trust the loader stand, Not Quickie's best idea! ) same hours as ours but noisy cab and jealous yours has the loader joystick! 😆
Hi, The farm currently is owned by my dad. I worked full time up until middle of December when decided to go and get a apprenticeship in the building trade so in the future if the farm ever became unprofitable I will have something to fall back on. But I still do evenings Monday-Friday and Saturday, Sunday. If we get a third tractor I would like to get a MF390 or MF399👍
@@AngusGloverVlogsyeah we have a 135 165 and a 390T ,390T a great tractor pulls a 1350 gallon tanker runs a 8foot Kuhn mower . Never gives trouble it's our main tractor,it'll never leave our yard, only problem is it's 2wd!! Massey went downhill after 300 series in my opinion. Be careful if your buying a 390 non turbo , they can b hard to start sometimes
@@AngusGloverVlogs a 390 was my dream a few years ago. Now I'm thinking of a 6290 or maybe a 6470+ I wouldn't buy another 2wd, sooner just keep what we have. I'm in the same boat, working full time and the farm is evenings and weekends
I’ve got a 674 it’s a belter on the road just need to find a set of quicke brackets same as yours

Thank you👍 yeah it's a good tractor and like you said it has a good road speed. Our farm is on the west coast of Scotland near campbeltown.
The fuel gauge on all old International is looking into the tank 😂
Aye😅

Great video best of luck with it
Thank you
My dad has one and it never had doors on
I would say the smaller tyres will be better because you could get into smaller places. Yes you were right with taking the loader off. Great vid
Thank you, aye unfortunately it didn't come with stands to take the loader off so it looks like i'm going to have to make some
Good video Angus 👍🏻
Thank you👍
Glad to see a video from you it’s been awhile. Good one.
Thank you, aye it had been a while but I'm trying to get back into it now
I have the 674 with quickie loader she will serve you well.
Aye our 574 hasn't missed a beat yet👍
Canna go wrong we an auld nash hardy auld things nae heaters brakes or clutch if its a loader tractor but shel be a handy machine
Oh aye it has its place for sure

It'll always live in the shed when not being used. I think itll be more capable than it looks for sure👍
@@AngusGloverVlogs the proper coolant help's the liner's from going in them.
Lovely tractor always wanted a 574
Oh I know, it's a really nice tractor to have around. Sometimes it's nice to drive something that's just simple to use
you can get euro 8 headstocks for them older loaders
Aye, I was looking at them the other day. Might look at getting one👍
There a brilliant peace of kit I have one my self a ih574 q can they are good old workhorse
Aye their good wee tractors
Great tractor,
Aye itll do us well
Great vid hope the tractor dose you well
Thank you

@@AngusGloverVlogs actually l'm wrong. It was the IH 475 that had the 212perkins same as big block mf165. Not sure what's in yours
@@philipoconnor2236 our other 2 574 have perkins engines in them so I would guess that one will aswell
475 is Perkins rated at 60 horsepower 574 has the IH D239 engine rated at 67 horsepower
475 was the only one from that range with a Perkins

Our one is a 1976 model. When we took the loader off we just lay it on the ground rather than using a stand👍
Good move.. 👍don't know what Quickie were thinking of the design at the time?🤔
You can buy an adapter plate for the loader for 300 quid
Aye I was looking at them the other day, I'll have a think about getting one
nice tractor the previous owner kept it well its nothing like my 584
The previous owner kept it well maintained and used it for work not just show. What's your one like
@@AngusGloverVlogs mines not well kept but is kept in shed the whole time needs new tyres
Not what I was expecting
Watch out for issues with the hydraulics 👍 good luck with her lad
Thank you. Its no doubt going to give some bother with different things here and there but that's to be expected on a tractor of that age.
We have an 574
It's a handy wee tractor to have for sure👍
Just make an adapter that fits to Euro 8 attachments
They do not make tractors like they used to goodness I am wounding like my father
All the fancy electrics on the modern tractors are great, but sometimes its nice to drive the older models with a manual clutch and a gearstick.
@@AngusGloverVlogs easier to fix to
@@davidnicolson6443 aye abit of wd40 and your off again

U payed far to much for it though . Thats way more than its worth .
Aye I'm kind of thinking that aswell but even so everything is mechanically sound and is a handy thing to have
If its good mechanically its worth every penny
