About the watch, to avoid damage, it's enough to wear them on non-dominant hand, then it's safe to wear them even if you chop, shoot or do another type of potential damage action. Thank you for review! I ordered knife.
Great video! I'm on my way to buy an extrema ratio but is stuck between RAO C and the small MF0. There is many videos about RAO, not so many about MF0 so I haven't seen MF0 field tested. Do you perhaps have an opinion or knowledge about MF0?
All I wanna say is that after much contemplation I ordered a Cold Steel AK-47, the strongest folder.... in the mutliverse... or something like that?!! ( actually sorta good looking, that is all... :)). Yet when I waited for delivery it got delayed, delayed, delayed and delayed, to the point I did not want it anymore after 4 months of bullshit. So CS have to get their shit together if they want to sell me something. If it is "cheaper" which it is not, it is quite expensive really, and if it is not delivered, why bother to advertise? Looking down on the buyer is the worst marketing one can do. But I remembered my FKMD Folgore rescue folder and smiled to myself. Bigger, better, Italian wonder. What else do I need....:)
No mate, but have other Silky tools and they are all great as far as I'm concerned. I really like the nata style Japanese knife and Silky I belie make a good one. I should own one though LOL!
Uff....Non vi piace? Non compratelo. E' troppo caro? Non compratelo. Ci sono folder migliori? Comprateli, ognuno con i suoi soldi compra quello che vuole. I Cold Steel sono migliori? Comprateli. Perche' non un fisso al posto del Rao? E perche' no! Ciao! Have a nice day!
Yes, I once wrote to Demko about these tests to provide me with some solid data but he never supplied them. I offered to calculate the actual forces at the hand. I did some basic calculations anyway based upon the video (I know this was not accurate but only an approximation on the lower side of the the forces involved) and if anyone was holding either knife, their hands would be destroyed from such impacts. I think at the end of the day, this seems to me to be just a little bit important :)! Plus you are right in your argument about buying products too.
Uso il Rao da anni, dal primo esemplare uscito. Non ha MAI dato segni di cedimento, e' robusto e l'ho utilizzato per il suo corretto uso in tutte le situazioni possibili. Il prezzo si ripaga nel tempo. By, by!
Thanks for your comments and thanks for watching. BTW the "expensive thing depends upon where one lives and their disposable income. That CS knife you mention, in my country is over $1000.00. To some this may not be expensive but to others it might be. The knife here in the video is approx $200-00 less than the CS 4Max. I'm not saying that is cheap either or less expensive and the price, whether "expensive" or not will also depend upon one's disposable income and whether fixing the car or paying for school text books are more or less important than buying a knife we really don' need in a modern society unless hunting camping and fishing for a living.
@@lionknives3 But let's not go down the price thing as I really stay away from such discussions on anything on my channel. I don't suggest or imply to anyone about what they should and should not buy as i have no idea about anyone's country or disposable incomes etc. That's been the way of my channel for over 12 years. many other channels like to discuss price and that is fair enough for sure.
This will definitely work without damage. I have the sister/brother knife to this, the all black one and I have struck the blade with a heavy baton without ill effect to the mechanism. I personally do not recommend this be done to a folding knife and only in a situation where this is no other options.
Hi thanks for watching and commenting. I've seen the ColdSteel 4max and used one briefly. I see it is a different design altogether. If you are new to my channel, I don't make knife comparisons here on the channel or compare any two products where the differences are great. Yes they are two knives, yes they are both folding knives but their locking mechanisms are completely different, The 4 Max as far as i know also doesn't come with a pouch. It is a "tricked out" lock back, albeit he (Demko) has improved the traditional lock back mechanism. The Extrema Ratio RAOII is a "roller lock" mechanism both dissimilar. As for one being "better" than the other, it depends upon ones end use. They both suffer all the faults of folding knives and that is they are folding knives and their is a mechanism to get clogged with dirt etc. if careless.. CS make a lot of hype about it doesn't get or collect dirt, this is not true of course. I personally believe both are good knives and there is a end user for each of them. Many thanks for your comments and watching.
@@BushCampingTools I’m italian I know well Extrema Ratio and all products, but Alluminium Handle (corodal) is not strong, for me is inappropriate for this folder and specifical use. The Cold Steel 4 Max is very robust for hard use , over this model of Extrema Ratio, my opinion.

Just with a Cold Steel. Sick knife but way too expensive and tacticool. Anyway thanks for the video

Can you recommend a quality folding knife for batoning wood? Just as a backup in case I lost my fixed blade knife
