OMG! I just finished watching all of your 662 videos! I'm caught up! This is amazing. So now I have to take the time to express my utmost and biggest admiration for you two. I stumbled on to your videos after a recommendation from TH-cam (I'm from Sweden so it was a recommendation of your Stockholm videos) and I was hooked. I decided to go through all of your videos and I have to say that Kara's voice is always nice to hear, all your videos make me smile, Nate's filming is amazing and the editing Kara does, is superb! I wish I had the courage to do the thing you do, but it has gotten me to decide to save up money and decide on a destination to go to at some point. Thank you so much for this and I am so excited to see what your 100th country is. Lots of love from Agnes in Sweden.
Sometimes when I watch your videos, I think about if you guys ever have kids. I can just hear you telling them all of the incredible things that mommy and daddy have done, all around the world. So cool.
I think it's fantastic the tourism board arranged an authentic Swiss capoeira demonstration for you outside your hotel window. Nate pulling all the strings.
This video really hit home for me and brought me a lot of nostalgia. My wife and I went to Italy on our honeymoon. We flew into Milan. Spent a few days in Milan, saw all the iconic sights then took that same train from Milan to Zurich.....then onto Venice, Florence, Rome and back to Milan. We stayed at Glockenhof Zurich, right across from the oldest vegetarian restaurant. Switzerland is so beautiful. We took a train to Adliswil and hiked up to this beautiful tiny restaurant called Felsenegg that’s run by the sweetest old lady (the gondola was closed) and ate overlooking the Swiss alps. After, we decided to take the long way back down the easier, but longer road and it ended up taking us through the Swiss countryside and just through people’s farms and homes. It felt like we were in a movie. We eventually got tired and stopped at a restaurant Buchenegg and called and Uber and they took us down this incredibly windy country road at an incredibly fast speed back to the train station. The hike up was a lot of fun and we laughed constantly at how much we were struggling as 80 year old Swiss grandmas and grandpas were passing us. The sound of the countryside with the church bells in the background just really made it feel so peaceful. Later on, we found the only place that served American food which was run by an American man and had burgers to fulfill our nostalgia. Unfortunately we’re recently divorced but I pray constantly that we’ll be restored. This video makes me sad in a way, but also hopeful and full of faith. Discovered you guys a few months ago. Love watching your videos so much. Thank you for all that you do.
That footage of the storm at the beginning !!!! Wow. You two truly fit in to the Italian countryside living ❤️ Loved your faces when you realized what train station you ended up at. So sweet. And y’all don’t age even a teeny bit.
One of my college professors would go on and on about Switzerland. She would often cut the lesson plan short to talk about Zermatt. the Matterhorn, Basel, Zurich, Geneva, Lucerne, etc. She would discuss where she stayed, what she ate and who she met. She was a pre-internet travel blogger I guess. LOL Another great video guys. Can't wait for the next one.
So for my whole life I have gotten into repetitive patterns of watching the same stuff over and over for like a calming comfort thing. Let's just say I'm sitting in the Walmart parking lot watching this video prepping mentally to go in and face the people 😅😅 thanks Kara and Nate for being my calm
I understand your feeling on the train, Nate, about being uncomfortable that it's not your real seat and just waiting for someone to kick you out. Loved the walk down your memory lane.
They showed beautiful Lake Como back before the area was flooded with migrants . I don't know if it is still like that or what has happened to the area .
Travel with Alex Wong idk how I remember but I was watching a flight review I think it was Sam chui and I think I saw ur comment on that video . I remember bc Of profile picture ! What a small world
Most trains in Europe (especially German ones) will have a small display (or sometimes a printed ticket) just above the seat indicating the start and finish stops of the next reservation in that seat. So, if you get on and the seat says "Koln to Brussels" you're safe until Koln. If it's a display, check it from time to time in case it changes mid-journey but otherwise you're fine.
again in awe of the beauty and bravery for living the life you lead! you really need a tv show about travelling like real people. i would watch it faithfully😊👍🏻😍
The Milan - Zurich train ride is one I have taken through the Alps and count it as the very premium of my travel experiences. Limoncello on a boat in Lake Zurich, seeing the sun come down as a Balkan band festively entertain the townsfolk. I'm so glad we share in these European experiences!
Kara and Nate, I have offered sincere complements and hundreds of likes but I can only subscribe once! Nates perfect diction and story telling and Kara's magnificent joy and beauty are only a complement to the fantastic cinematography, editing and camera work. You are achieving perfection as travel influencers and good humans. Find the JOY every day!!! and safe travels kids!!!
I love Switzerland. Went there in April 2005 with my brother and his family, who were living in central France at the time. I saw one of the trains on the mountainside and wished I could be on one. Enjoy.
yes Nate you are correct about train etiquette, if your in someone's seat then you will be asked to move, as its the same here in the UK as our main train operators like Virgin/stagecoach, GWR, LNER etc they have a seat reservation service where you reserve a seat free of charge from your departing to arrival stations, and theres a little screen above the windows with the seat numbers saying reserved, you can use those seats until the people who reserved the seats gets on and then those ppl will say your in our seats do you mind and if you dont move then they go and get the train manager, some of the time ppl who reserve their seats miss that train so you get to sit in the seat for the entire journey
It's great to see you spending time with your family and friends. To see the joy on your faces was lovely and necessary I would say. I'm very very excited though for the new countries and content. It's been too long!! 😀😀😀
I went to Italy and Switzerland in June and this video brought me back! I remember the same trains and the noisy bathrooms from Kara’s bathroom tour! Also sitting in people’s seats until they kick you out! One great lunch spot you missed at the Milan train stations was to the wayyyyyy left side of the platforms near a lounge. They had great bagels sandwiches and pastries! Our train ride into Switzerland was amazing and I’m dying to go back just for that gorgeous scenery!
You two look so young on that first trip in 2014! Boy the adventures you’ve been on since! Please don’t stop after country 100! I live vicariously through you!✈️
I visited Zürich Switzerland when I was a teenager it was so beautiful I can't wait to go again. You are the best travel vlog people on TH-cam. You make me want to travel to so many places after college.
YES! I had been refreshing TH-cam in the hopes that there would be a new video posted today. I had just about resigned myself to no new video today, but instead...a beautiful gift right after a long work call. What a fantastic reward! :) Can't wait to see Switzerland, one of the most beautiful countries I've ever visited. :)
Great to see those flashbacks that you've had in your early travel days' experiences! Also, the scenery from Milan to Zurich train ride was so stunning!!
Yes, that is pretty much the vibe with European train, as long as you stay in your class car. I once had to change seats 4 times. I was just unlucky, My original seat was int he back near the toilets, so preferred another seat. And those face-to-face seats can be nice if no one is in front of you as you can stretch your legs (or put them up until the conductor tells you to remove them). I have you make it is Bern .... its AMAZING. BEAUTIFUL.
I love when you do flashbacks and it still just blows my mind on how long y’all have been traveling and the things you’ve done🤯 So great that you got to visit with Bob & Gina🥰 they are such kind people. And now I CANNOT wait for the Switzerland🇨🇭 vlogs🤩🤗😄🙊 Stay you 😘
It really blows my mind too! Really put it in perspective being in the same train station and thinking about everywhere we've been since that day. Crazy! And yes B&G are some of the best 💜
Gotta love Nate running with the ice cream cone sticking out of his mouth. Can't wait to see the rest of your Switzerland videos. Especially yesterday's excitement (or the day before now?) Won't ruin anything for folks who don't follow on Instagram.
Took a once in a lifetime, top of bucket list trip to Switzerland for our 25 year anniversary, it was absolutely stunning, we hope to get back there one day. Glad you got there, been waiting to see you add it to the list 🙌🏼🙌🏼❤️
Just booked our first trip to Europe yesterday. Thanks, Kara and Nate for the inspiration to travel. We are going to be visiting Prague, Rome, Naples, and Barcelona.
My wife and I had the most bizarre experience with Italian trains. We were traveling from Florence to Vicenza and had to stop about half way because the railway employees went on strike. Luckily my amazing cousin drove two hours and picked us up. Fun while traveling, even the silly and inconvenient can be fun...and it’s all memories.
If you love the views of Switzerland you need to go to Norway! trust me! A roadtrip in Norway is full of beautiful mountains, waterfalls, glaciers, snow, fjords, etc. I just got back from there and it is absolutely stunning! I'd highly recommend it. And its got the most amazing hikes!
Thank you for creating the content that you do and for sharing your love of travel. I’ve always been hesitant to go to new and foreign places but your channel has lit a fire in me. My fiancé and I are now planning our honeymoon to the Mediterranean!! ❤️ Keep doing what you do!
Nate & Kara, I always love your videos but particularly those in Italy since I lived and studied there for a couple of years many years ago but, sadly, have not been back since my then fiance, now husband, moved here from there over 15 years ago. This video, today, makes me want more than ever to change that. WE MUST get to Italia soon. Che bel paese!
Nate, just a note, many hotels and most homes in Europe don't have air-con. I think Americans expect it as a necessity, but it is more of a luxury here in Europe. You might find a fan, but you have to remember, things are different than in America.
I apologize for interjecting here, but considering the amount they’ve traveled, they probably don’t expect every country in the world to be just like the US. Not all Americans are the same.
I lived in Milan my whole life and went to that train station so many times to go to school and you guys found a spot I’ve never seen before hahahah!! It’s crazy how the routine of things makes you not notice the little things
Switzerland is an amazing country! One of our favorites. Hopefully you will make it down to the Lauterbrunnen Valley (Grindelwald, Wengen---but do not miss Gimmelwald). If you ever want a Winter Bucket List item. Go see the Lauberhornrennen Downhill Races in Wengen in January. Longest downhill in the world and it is amazing, beautiful and fun! Enjoy, Switzerland!! Magical Land.
The sceneries along the way via train is beautiful. Did the similar route except from Lucern to Milan, Venice. The trains were very clean and leather seats and very few people in that carriage.
No way! I was in Zurich for the first time in July from Tel Aviv and stayed in that hotel as well! I couldn’t believe it when you opened the hotel room door and I recognized the room and also the view outside the room window! Such a perfect location! Zurich is crazy expensive, but I loved it :)
We did same train ride from Milan to Zurich where we rented a car and then drove up to the Swiss Alps and stayed In the most idyllic airbnb near Andermatt. Loved Switzerland and those incredible glacial waters. Albeit wasn't too fond of the authentic fondue there, the bread was fantastic though. Loved the flashbacks!
Just want to say I love your videos and have inspired me to travel full-time! I leave next Thursday for Europe where I start traveling for at least the next 2 years! So.. thanks!
So glad you are back on the road in gorgeous and clean Switzerland! Have an awesome journey through a spectacular country! As always, take care and Happy Travels! ♥️🙏🏞
I love your travel vlogs! Thank you so much for your efforts and showing us your experiences. Your videos make me really want to travel but also to experience the local food and culture.
I can’t BELIEVE you guys went to Switzerland right after I left! I was studying abroad there and met a friend who also loves your videos! We compiled so many recommendations that I emailed you after that Sunday Summary 😅 it seems we keep missing each other lol! I was in Copenhagen end of March and Nashville mid April, and I was in NY when you were here! Can’t believe you’re following me around the world 😉 i even took this train trip from Milan when I traveled from Geneva to Croatia
You guys are my favourite travel bloggers the editing is great and you are always make the viewers feel engaged like they are travelling too(at least me but more than likely the rest of the viewers too) Another Great Video!
😂 the ELEVATOR omg I would be dying laughing, and Nate’s sister nailed it - “A CAN OF BISCUITS “ 😂😂🤣. But she forgot the “pop”. Beautiful views and I’m happy you guys are back traveling- not that I did not enjoy the last few vlogs which were just as wonderful but I love when you guys do the train travel. Have fun. Looking forward to this and more 👍🏼
I went to Italy in 2015 and I stopped in Parma and went to a Parmesan cheese factory, it was kinda smelly but very cool! I also went to Modena and went to a balsamic vinegar factory, it smelled like brown sugar and was just as cool :) we also did a train ride through the Alps and spent a day at Lake Como, it was so beautiful! I'd love to spend more time in Switzerland
I was wondering if you were going to put out a video today. Thought it was funny how it started with an ice cream cone in Nate's mouth. At least there was finally an explanation. I was personally impressed with how clean the bathroom was. Loved the trip down memory lane. The scenery was gorgeous. Enjoy your stay even without air-conditioning. Take care and safe travels 😊♥️
I’m always so glad that so many people love my country. Kara, the city of Parma is also the city where prosciutto is produced not only for the cheese :-)
We were just in Milano, Parma, and Piedmonte in April of this year. Had the most fantastic time, highly recommend your making a stop in Parma and Piedmonte for some amazing food and wine! Portovenere and Florence too. But Piedmonte was our favorite!
I'm not sure if you've been, but if you want to go to beautiful mountains somewhere slightly cheaper go to the high tatras in Slovakia. Plus the train between poprad and kosice is also stunning.
Those guys in the street were doing capoeira! It's a Brazilian martial art/dance kinda thing. Speaking of which, you guys should definitely go to Brazil! The people are so nice there!
Actually surprised you didn't pop into Switzerland when in the Dolomites... literally could have taken the lift up and you'd have been there. Looking forward to this series!
Oooh! Loved the vlog, and congrats on Country # 92 🥳 Kara and Nate, I’ve been loving your excerpts from FB and look forward to seeing your adventures in beautiful Switzerland! ❤️ Amazing to see you at the same spot you guys started all the way in Nov ‘14...wow! So happy for you both 🤗 I hope I can travel the World sometime soon, but till then, I’ll enjoy your vlogs 🤗
Oh Wow, I've watched so many of your vids and missed this one. From the opening few seconds, I said to myself, that looks like Milan station. I did the opposite trip last summer ( Geneva to Milan to Naples). When I arrived at Milan to change trains I had no clue where the train was, they dont post the track until 5 mins before it leaves. SO I was rushing to find my train as the horn was blowing. LOL . Thank goodness I had asked every single person on the track where it was, so they remembered the Tall, thick Trinidadian girl with Purple hair very easily. But The train from Geneva to Milan was the BEST thing ever !!!!!!!!!!
This is super exciting. I am actually from Switzerland. I hope you enjoy your stay in Zürich. Btw I just found your channel and I'm addicted. With every single video you open my eyes a little more and inspire me to go see the world.
come to slovakia!! its a beautiful country and you wont regret it!!! with awesome castles and old rare villages, but then also the modern side with amazing waterslide parks(tatralandia is the best) and more!!
My wife and I live in Zurich!! We would love to drive you around to some nearby sites. We know how expensive it is to get around... We're in Jerusalem right now on vacation but we'll be back on Sunday! Let us know if we can help 😊

That’s where I am today❤😂
Sometimes when I watch your videos, I think about if you guys ever have kids. I can just hear you telling them all of the incredible things that mommy and daddy have done, all around the world. So cool.
Maybe they'll take the kids with them on a new adventure around the world:0)
Nice!! Hope they have kids with dual citenezship.
No reason to stop travelling - lots of youtube travel families are around!
@@listay1 I was just commenting on all the neat stuff they've done I wasn't saying they will stop traveling.

Nate, that was a great beginning to this video 😂.
I couldn't believe he was vlogging when we were about to miss our train, but now I am so glad he did😂

That footage of the storm at the beginning !!!! Wow. You two truly fit in to the Italian countryside living ❤️ Loved your faces when you realized what train station you ended up at. So sweet. And y’all don’t age even a teeny bit.
How cool was the rain going across the sky!?😍 We do loooove our Italian countryside life 💜
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the beautiful timelapse of the clouds dropping their rain. That's perfection! Great job!
Was that not the coolest thing ever?!?! I watched it like 10 times. Mesmerizing 😍
@@KaraandNate It was the best! Absolute perfection!!!

I thought this was just me but have recently read this is a common behaviour for those who have anxiety
I understand your feeling on the train, Nate, about being uncomfortable that it's not your real seat and just waiting for someone to kick you out. Loved the walk down your memory lane.
In the intro you sound like you're trying to use that ice cream cone as an instrument XD
I was gonna say that...
I love Italy both my parents were born there. I go often and love riding the trains.

Yes, it's very normal in europa that you sit wherever you want and move if someone reserved it :)

No way! I was in Zurich for the first time in July from Tel Aviv and stayed in that hotel as well! I couldn’t believe it when you opened the hotel room door and I recognized the room and also the view outside the room window! Such a perfect location! Zurich is crazy expensive, but I loved it :)
That “show” that was outside of their hotel at the end is a Brazilian martial art/ dance style called capoeira
Yeah Switzerland! It’s so beautiful!
good luck for when you go to England. Come and explore Bristol - i can take you around or get food (on me). etc
So.. thanks!
Woah baby! That's a HUGE DEAL!! So happy for you Joy. Enjoy every minute ❤
How was your travels?
So glad you are back on the road in gorgeous and clean Switzerland! Have an awesome journey through a spectacular country! As always, take care and Happy Travels! ♥️🙏🏞

This is amazing! I can’t believe how close your vlogs are to your real life!
FINALLY YESSS 😍💜
8 more countries to 100. Just wow! Love this channel
Thank you!!! 🤗💛
@@KaraandNate you replied! Oh my gosh i cant believe it.
Have fun. Looking forward to this and more 👍🏼
”It's yummy!!!” love it. That was so cute. It made me want to go out to eat 🤗✨⭐️✨⭐️✨
Can’t remember if you’ve been to Slovenia before but you must go! Next to Italy and it’s absolutely beautiful!!
150$ a night for a small hotel room is no joke... You should visit Eastern Europe next (nice people, great food, cheap but great hotels)
I see you have new away luggage! I love watching your vlogs they inspire my future travels ! 😁
Yes! They replaced my cracked one :)
The people are so nice there!
we're heading to Zermatt, Switzerland in Oct. We're super pumped
Enjoy! 🌍💙
Finally to "my switzerland", hope you enjoyed it.
I’m officially a granny night owl 🦉!! So enjoy your travel videos!!
Thank you ! God bless ! ❤️😇
Thank you 💓
Actually surprised you didn't pop into Switzerland when in the Dolomites... literally could have taken the lift up and you'd have been there. Looking forward to this series!
Haha you are so right!
But The train from Geneva to Milan was the BEST thing ever !!!!!!!!!!
loved the throwback photos of baby kara & nate!!!❤️
This is super exciting. I am actually from Switzerland. I hope you enjoy your stay in Zürich. Btw I just found your channel and I'm addicted. With every single video you open my eyes a little more and inspire me to go see the world.
Aww thanks Victoria! So glad you enjoy our vids 😊
come to slovakia!!
its a beautiful country and you wont regret it!!!
with awesome castles and old rare villages, but then also the modern side with amazing waterslide parks(tatralandia is the best) and more!!
lisankomerri J Love Slovakia! I made a vlog there when I visited. 🙂
I love all your videos !!! But... I especially love videos where it’s places I’ve been ! Makes it even cooler.
My wife and I live in Zurich!! We would love to drive you around to some nearby sites. We know how expensive it is to get around... We're in Jerusalem right now on vacation but we'll be back on Sunday! Let us know if we can help 😊
5:03 Still remember (and missing) typical Italian train travel 😅 hot in summer/autumn and you stick your face to the ac near the window
I love how Kara always makes a train-toilet-review 😂
That intro honestly cures all of my problems 😂
