And to Frieren, Fern is always gonna be this little baby, even when she’s old and after she’s gone. It’s almost incredible when we’ve seen anime after anime do relationships between ‘very old being who looks young’ & ‘younger person they love who will age faster than them’ and this manages to make it fresh, funny and real.
Heiter was so smart he managed to actually fool frieren for years, that's actually impressive. He's probably the only person who managed to fool her for that long
