5:24 WOW, Hamaha is a name I have not heard in ages, glad to hear he's a mentor to another solid Kazuya player. Back in the DR/BR days, I think he also trained and mentored Deku (Ryo), a top level Heihachi. Nice to see the old skool names passing on their knowledge.
I vaguely remember a Hamaha, but Deku was still around playing some Tekken 7 Arcade and had a sick Devil Jin. Didn't know he mained Heihachi before that. A lot of the "retired" old-school players still played Tekken 7 on Arcades, but didn't join tournaments. Legends like MSR, MSR2, and Tetsuo weren't among them though.
@@Raspy978exactly. Also, keisuke should NOT have gone for df2 into electric to drop that combo 4 times. He should've stuck to reliable but good damage combos like df2 into 3,1,4 Instead of unreliable godfist to then lose the round then the chance for a reset.
@@GTJD111 nerves got to him, happens to everyone. under normal circumstances that combo usually connects, but he definitely should have opted for a more reliable combo.
Wow Phi! Great interview. I don’t know if Keisuke will read the comments but his fight was EXTREMELY entertaining. He did a great job. Everyone did. I hope the community continues to thrive and grow.
I like how he mentions he wants to entertain the fans. Keeping fights entertaining is good for the health of the community as a whole. Look where being boring to look at has landed Mk1.
Really enjoyed this one, ty PhiDX and Hiro for translation, appreciate the extra effort and perspective of Keisuke that you bring us from the tournament.
I like how it's a different spot for each interview. Even if it's just a backdrop, it somewhat takes away that repetitive nature that most interviews suffer from by giving each interview a unique theme or color palette.
PhiDX: Which player do you admire in Tekken? Keisuke, Qudans, I love ❤️ Qudans . Me: Why does every Mishima player love him so much? Don't replay, I know the question and why 😂 .Great interview, PhiDX thank you.
Now this is pure tekken talking inntwo different languages but understanding each other. Also props for editing the sub titles for both english and japanese.
This is really high quality content, man. Maybe not that appreciated now but it's really good for the Tekken scene. Consider having a translator so things gets more interesting.
The Lord of the Kazuya Empire. CD1+2 also has a similar crouching stance as hellsweep, while FF3 looks completely different and is easily recognizable since Kaz stands straight up
A Kazuya monster whose sub hopefully will be Roger. Hope he becomes DLC and Keisuke really uses him as a secondary for certain matchups, it will make the tournament fun to watch
This is incredible❤As someone who doesn’t understand japanese I appreciate the translations very very much❤must’ve taken alot of time and energy on top of the interview❤Have a beautiful rest of your day❤
Finally, we know what Kazuya says during his Heat burst. It took a native Japanese speaker for me to figure out... some kazuya players were calling it SHIKUWAYYY lol (PGF)
Damn, you guys filmed and edited this really well. I'm sure all the pausing in between all the speaking to allow for smoother editing was annoying to do. Great stuff! Edit: wait, can you understand japanese? You look like you can in a couple instances
you didn't ask him the mundane casual questions like who you want for dlc, and what's his tierlist, those add spice and flare to the whole interview imo
You think people downplay kazuya now the character was almost complete garbage in tekken 6 br. Going forward I think Namco learned the mistake they made with the Mishima as a whole with that game. So not surprised he wasn't playing him then but sites it as his favourite tekken
Ok Phi, all of your interviews have been awesome! You asked some good questions that made the interviewees give in depth answers! I especially liked this video cuz it was dealing with Kazuya and Keisuke’s recent performance! In addition, his usage of UF3 and another move to set up CD 1+2! Sorry to b long, but why do u hate Kazuya as u said in one of your videos? I almost unfollowed u after I hear that! Lol just kidding! Anywho bro, keep up the good work!
What's ridiculous is not accepting Keisuke is the best at this point. Knee and CBM both named him the world's best years ago when it was more subjective. After CEO and looking at how dominant he is nowdays, it's no longer subjective.

Phi speaking English and Keisuke speaking Japanese and them understanding each other? This feels like a Tekken cutscene in story mode lmao
😂😂
I'm about to say this now we need someone talk like King and armour King
LMAO i swear i was just going to comment this to 🤣
shout outs to OtherHiro! For being the translator!
Oh cmon, everyone knows they're just reading each other's subtitles
This is just pure tekken material. Phidx and Keisuke are speaking in different languages, but understand each other
🤣🤣🤣
Send this to someone who says how can character understand each other while they speak different languages
😂

You saying it like this makes me think he's some old Japanese dude sitting in a dojo somewhere in the mountains
Glad to see he's not openly angry at himself for dropping *that* combo and is instead satisfied with his perfomance.
This guy lives and breathes Kazuya, and you can tell, he's the most exciting Tekken player in the world for so many
Nice interview. Hope he can go to more tournaments in the future, it's always great watching char specialists
I can't imagine the extra work and effort that went into organizing the translators here. Thanks PhiDX and whoever else helped 🙏
8:10 I thought he just used an app on his phone
@@Noum77Yeah he did
I had OtherHiro on the phone
@@PhiDXdoes that perform better than google translate?

*Amazing* interview! Great that the language barrier doesn't hinder it.
I want Roger Jr. back as well.
Bro was so close for the reset. Seeing Kazuya getting second was pretty hyped.
If not for the dropped combo he would've got the reset

What a Legend... A True Kazuya Main... Been a huge fan since TTT2 days... Thanks for interviewing him @PhiDX
1:09 "I want to show good games for the fans" xD
Japanese and Korean pro-gamers are very much a like, it's a meme for a reason.
Damn the post credits scene!
LET'S GO! Thanks for setting this up
Incredible dedication to the craft, PhiDX. This is why you're the best Tekken content creator. Much love
Definitely become a Keisuke fan after watching his CEO run.

What a pleasant gift...Love your work!

Been missing that outro, is so good hahah
These interviews have been really cool man. Keep doing the good work for all us tekken enjoyers out there.
Great interview, loved it. He seems like a nice guy.
Doing god's work for the community with those interviews. Also big ups to kazuya king
This was incredibly well done
This video has awesome written all over it this is so cool ❤️
I was rooting for keisuke man. I really wanted him to take that belt; such a cool player to watch!
I'm glad that chikuyay is being used in expert level, not just beginner. I love the chikuyay
I like these videos/interviews keep up the good work sir💯🔥

Keisuke seems like such a nice humble guy. He's my new favorite tekken player atm. As a Kazuya main I love everything about him.
Great content phi
These interviews are some of the best videos on this channel🙌
Not all Hiros wear capes
I do, though

Qudans is one of my favorite players too but damn he is struggling getting to top 8 right now with nerf Devil Jin.
Damn, past Roger Jr. main? Pretty based. I also hope he somehow comes back as DLC
Love the translated notations

The magic was broken at the very end, but it was so wholesome I can't not let it slide. ❤️❤️
Just sitting here waiting for "I interviewed Harada himself" followed by "So I'm the new Michael Murray"
Keisuke looks up to Qudans, but Qudans coaching helped Kkokkoma beat him at Dreamhack. Top 10 anime betrayals.
