For those wondering, I chose not to include pillows I've reviewed in the past, including MyPillow, Purple, etc.

    • @comicalhexical

How would these match up though compared to the other ones? Would you place these above some of the others?

I'd put the Sealy and Tempur-Pedic up there with others I've liked such as Beautyrest Aquacool, Purple Harmony, and Coop's adjustable pillow.

There’s a pillow made out of organic latex natural latex harvested from the latex tree and that is hands-down the best pillow I’ve ever used it comes in different firmness levels but if you get super plush it’s by far the best pillow I’ve ever use

I know this is all subjective but I had most of these pillows excluding 2 of the ones your testing. MyPillow has been THEE best pillow I’ve ever had especially when you compare it to value. It’s been a year later and it hasn’t changed. The pillow is still amazing.

Ex-Casper worker here: Use to work at the headquarters here in nyc for 2 years, their pillows are pretty good, 3 years of a warranty and will say it’s changed over the years in terms of quality but it’s one of the best retractable pillows meaning it can get flat easily but super easy to get it back to fluffy. Their other pillows are ok.

This was helpful, I needed new pillows. I ordered the tempur-pedic because my wife needs a new one too so I figured we might as well get a deal and get the buy one get one free. I've never used a shredded foam pillow before I look forward to trying it out and I hope I like it as much as all of you did, I like that it's adjustable, nice to know I should be able to get the amount of loft I want if it's not perfect right out of the box like it was for you. Edit: after using the pillow for a month I really like it. The first few mornings I woke up with what I thought was a sore neck but as soon as I moved a little the soreness went away. I have not had to adjust the amount of filling but I have noticed that after about 3 nights I need to fluff the pillow again to get the shape I like. So far no complaints!

The Sealy is fabulous if you have terrible hot flashes. When it warms up, spin it to the top side of the cooling side, and instantly cool down again. I’ve been a fan for years. Actually looking into getting another.

I worked for Sleep Number for 8 years so I feel I could give some valuable insight on pillows. Regarding the Sleep Number pillow it is not washable, so pillow protectors should be used to keep the pillow fresh. I would strongly recommend pillow protectors for ANY pillow as I don’t believe pillows themselves should be washed regardless if the manufacturer says it ok or not. Most pillowcases do not zip therefore dust and allergens can get into your pillow much quicker. Take your time! When trying out pillows, your neck cannot get used to something in 1 night! Lots of pillows require some break in, and most stores or online retailers will give you 30 days or So to return or exchange. There is no “best pillow” the most important thing is your spinal alignment. Find the pillow that keeps your spine aligned without too much lift. Most people that had neck or shoulder issues that I spoke with were sleeping WAY to high or on 2 pillows. Rule of thumb, you don’t have 2 heads you shouldn’t need 2 pillows propping you up! Thanks James and keep up the good work! 🙂

      @charlesw7397 3 ปีที่แล้ว

Ayy I've been at Sleep Number for 6 months
I find that the Comfortfit Pillows are some of our most returned pillows. The curved Comfortfit is by far the pillow I've done the returns on. I think the pillow feels good in your hands and may feel good when trying it for a few minutes but it's hard for people to get used to when they actually try sleeping on it at night. Mattresses and pillows definitely require time to adjust to though and I feel that some people don't give their new products enough time

Ironically I just purchased the Casper original pillow which has a higher loft than the one you reviewed (low loft). I did demo the low loft at the Casper store because it was on sale for 50% off and I strongly disliked it because I felt my head sunk to the mattress. I am a side sleeper and I absolutely love the Casper original pillow. I bought two for myself and my mom took one because she liked it so well. Cost was $65 each but well worth the expense in my opinion.

Fun review to watch. It would be fun to see a memory foam, latex, buckwheat, down. Totally different categories. I used to love the latex pillows but over the years they got really cheap and would wear out. Now I LOVE a buckwheat pillow. It conforms yet stays where you want it once you have it all arranged.

@@moni925 I'm sorry I don't know. My mom got it for me and I asked her because I wanted to get another one but she can't remember. I've found some online but it seems that their covers are thicker almost like a quilted fabric. Mine is kinda smooth on one side and sorta low pile velvety on the other. I've had it for years and it doesn't wear out like the other kinds do. I hope you find one you like.

I went to a mattress store yesterday for the first time in my adult life, and decided that I'd research pillows later. I had to check to see when this was uploaded because I was positive that TH-cam was recommending me your old videos based on my recent conversations and type history. Actually surreal that you released this.
The funniest part of it all was I got to test out the Purple Pillow, and HAD to because I remember your review (that made me subscribe) saying how heavy the pillow is. Holy sh*t were you not lying when you said that thing is heavy. Hahahaha

Since I found your channel, I have been very impressed by your reviews. It is refreshing and informative to find someone making reviews on things that we use in our every-day lives. I have slept on solid foam latex pillows almost 60 years and found them to be far superior to other pillows. Which I have tried at hotels, other people's houses, and purchased and ultimately returned. Considering I have sever back and neck issues, this a strong endorsement. I have not yet tried the organic foam pillows, but hope to in the near future. With regard to the memory foam and man-made substance pillows, I am very sensitive to scents and smells and have not only found them unpleasant, but sometimes asphyxiating in the way that they smell. I would love to see you do a review on latex foam pillows.

I would very much be interested in looking into the Sealy gel pillow. I have tried a traditional memory foam pillow and it quickly became hard as a rock like cement. I also have tried a bamboo pillow and that was softer but kept my head up really high. I am a side sleeper and a sometimes back sleeper and I need a pillow that will not only stay cool but keep its shape and never ever go flat. When a pillow is too flat my neck really hurts and I get headaches. I had a pillow recently I had for a year where I used it for everything on my bed from propping it up to watch tv, read, use my phone to sleeping. It got so flat and misshapen that my neck was screwed up on the right side for almost 2 weeks. Thank you for yet another honest and through review of a product everyone has an opinion about.

I've been plagued by poor sleep before. My friend recommended me to buy a latex pillow called LAYTEX. It's made in Thailand, medium firm, soft and comfortable, filled with 100% latex that supports my neck well. It improved my neck pain and this pillow is very cool and comfortable all night. I have been using it for over 2 years. Later I bought another one for my husband. My husband is a side sleeper. He used to snore a lot while sleeping. He snored less after using this pillow. It's really amazing! Really recommend!

I have yet to find a perfect pillow. I keep buying pillows. I have 7 pillows on my bed and keep switching them up every night. I use the other pillows that are losers as props for my hips.
I am going to try the Temper Pedic Cloud next because of your reviews.
Also I would like to add that there is a pillow to mattress comfort level that is unique for everyone .In other words it depends on your mattress for your pillow to be comfortable

You should have done a review on a pocket sprung pillow, they are truly amazing!!!😌 ❤️ I had serious pillow problems for years... ended up making my own pillow by re-stuffing a fairly good pillow with filling from another one... and when the filling collapsed I'd refill the middle again... it was fairly successful at getting rid of neck strain and waking up with headaches in the morning, but one day I dared to try a pocket sprung pillow and everything changed for me. I did have to add a bit extra filling to plump it out more, but the springs in the centre really keep the shape... forever. Absolutely amazing pillows... provides perfect lasting support. At one time they were almost impossible to get hold of, but more companies make them now. I'm pretty sure most of the major manufacturers of pillows don't want to produce pocket sprung pillows because they know we'll be so satisfied we won't need to replace them that often... they want us tearing our hair out desperate for a good nights sleep that we will buy ALL their pillows and go on endlessly buying crappy pillows. Uncomfortable pillows is an evil marketing trick! I've found if a pillow wraps around the top of my head, that's what causes the headaches... avoid pillows like that. Most companies I've found making pocket sprung pillows are companies I've never heard of... but I think Silent Night in the UK does one now.. they're catching on! Google 'pocket sprung pillow' and you should be able find one online.

I usually buy Sealy pillows because they're inexpensive and Walmart has several different styles and firmnesses to choose from. Surprisingly their own brand of pillows isn't too bad but they break down quicker than the Sealy ones do and they often don't survive a wash.

i really hope you review all the pillows you liked after a year, my pillow experience is that even if they claim to be crush proof, they always end up flat in much less then a year.
on a side note i love king size pillows!

Fluff in dryer to refluff. In the wash first if it's doable.

I like my Beautyrest Silver AquaCool Memory Foam Pillow. Offers the cooling feature without the plastic feel. Very soft with just enough support.

My husband got me a premium snuggle pubic pillow and the fill is adjustable in that as well; it is true if you are not satisfied the company will make it right by sending you more fill if necessary.

I've had a SnugglePedic for about 3 years now. You said your head sank a lot, if you contact the company they will send you more filler for free, to make the pillow firmer. Also you should throw it in the dryer like once a month to fluff it up. I loved it until recently, it seems to go flatter quicker now, but I still use it most nights.

Great review. How about reviewing latex pillows next or Hotel pillows? The hotels sell their pillows online and am interested in seeing which one you like best. Heard the Marriot pillows are best

Can I suggest that you try reviewing a natural latex rubber pillow in the future? I personally would never use memory foam because I don't want to be sleeping on a pillow or mattress that is off-gassing chemicals.

@@screamtoasigh9984 It seems like the latex for the pillow comes from their own supply in India. Other aspects of the project I'm not sure about. The company looks to be based in LA and everything they do is some kind of certified organic/ethical/sustainable.

I think for forthcoming reviews. your additional reviewers should introduce their 'daily driver' pillow and their most common sleeping position. Pillows are definitely geared towards certain sleeping positions.
Would love to see some wackier pillow designs in the future! Maybe try some mattress toppers, since there is a deluge of memory foam mattress toppers out there now (or similar types that include memory foam).

The Snuggle Pedic sounds like it’s made like the old pillows from the 70’s. Those were always stuffed with foam pieces and chunks. They always separated inside.

The SnugglePeduc sounds a lot like the My Pillow that has shredded foam...I didn't care for it at all....I have tried numerous pillows. ..I was at my daughters house and the Pillows she had....Were the best ever....I ended buying 4 ...They are from Brooklyn Bedding....Love them....I got the Queen on sale for $40.....But recommend the King.....You can buy them online!!!😊

Could you do some reviews on some that are not big names? I'm looking for a pillow, as mine are old and not really doing their jobs anymore, but I can't see spending $60 and up for a pillow!
