      How did the job turn out in the end? Did you get it all back together

      @@TestDontguess went well after the whole collar ring fiasco. It started as a rokman gas tank skid swap but I snagged the fuel outlet on the gas strap and broke the medal outlet that goes from the pump to the hose off... that then turned into a 200 dollar fuel pump change as well lol. But it turned out good in the end.

    I'm like you Jerry , I just broke the clips . There to hard to try and save and for a couple bucks easier to just replace. Good job my friend . Say hi to Tomcat for me .

      I always keep a army of clips on hand lol

    awesome referencing new clips! I swapped out my tank skid for the Savvy aluminum skid. It gave me about an inch more of clearance from the ground and more space for my trackbar as with my lift and pinion angle it slightly rubbed the factory skid..

      @TestDontguess  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      interesting i've never had that issue

      @@TestDontguess My JKS control arms are a little longer than stock, pushing the rear diff back another 1/2 inch. Then, with my flat underbelly skidplate, the xfer case is much higher, requiring a SYE and elevated pinion angle. That change in pinion angle rotates the diff with the pivot point being where the lower control arms connected making the trackbar rub. All is solved now though! Glad I dont have your salt=rust issues down here in North Carolina!

    Damn I'm glad I live in the south. We don't have to lift things down we usually just lower them and we don't have to pull things ote.

    Fastenal sells great stainless steel bolts and nuts. Might be worth it, they're expensive, but hopefully won't rust. Sometimes if odd size they won't have in stock, usually longest wait is about 5 days.

      S/s hardware will corrode the dissimilar metal around it rather quickly, not a good idea.

    Hello I got a 2001 Tj sport that sat 3 yrs. Less than half a tank of old fuel. If fuel pump doesn’t work n I have to drop tank to empty the fuel do u think I should replace the tank if I have to replace the fuel pump? Or just drop tank, empty it n replace fuel pump?
    I got it for free. 165,000 miles. Needs some chassis work but nothing extreme. Plan on doin a complete tune up plus all hard brake lines r shot so no brakes right now. Thx

    Really annoyed right now 😠...I dropped my tank...broke 3 of those stupid fuel line retainer clips...ordered 4 from rock auto based on the number you show in the video (living in Australia, I don't have the option of just running to a parts store for jeep parts), and the damn things are not the right ones...maybe they changed them from year to year? Dunno, but there's $50 and 2 weeks waiting on the delivery down the tubes...
    Not your fault, just venting 😠
