Turnip is a short duration winter vegetable crop. It is profitable and easy to grow crop. Cost of production is very low so our growers can cultivate this easy crop in between their crops.
Turnips sowing time: 10th September to End of December
Seedrate: 1 to 2 kg
Fertilizer requirements: 1.5 bags DAP and 2 bags Urea
Irrigation requirements: 3 to 4 irrigations
Crop duration: 50 to 55 days
Yield: 300 to 600 bags (25 kg bag weight)
