Irrigation Scheduling in Wheat Crop: گندم فصل کو پانی کب لگائیں.
Watering in wheat field at proper time is must. These stages are called wheat critical stages. If farmers do not irrigate his wheat field at this critical stage, he may get huge yield losses. These critical stages are:
1) Tillering Stage of Wheat - (20-25 days after sowing)
2) Booting stage of Wheat crop - (80-90 days after sowing)
3) Milking stage of Wheat plant - (125-130 days after sowing)
Wheat needs at least three irrigations to make wheat grains. However, there is also a stage which is important in wheat crop, called jointing stage. It is in between tillering and booting stage.
Sandy soil needs 4-5 number of total irrigations to mature wheat plant.
