ALERT!!! Thank you Debbie Otoole!!!!!! This Lancome foundation has SPF 25. It was not listed in the ingredients. Debbie found it in small print on the website and I have called Lancome and confirmed that this new iteration of the foundation does indeed have SPF 25.
My bottle (from Nordstrom arrived today) had the look of the new one on the Nordstrom photos but does have sunscreen ingredients and in the front of the bottle on the bottom in small print says “sunscreen”. I didn’t see it on the listed description at Lancôme and I checked. I hate getting products I can’t use. HA and chemical sunscreen were not on the site!

Teint Idole was always one of my favourite special occasion foundations, great coverage, longevity and photographs beautifully. Hopefully I’ll like the new formulation. I might try a sample before I pick one up. I have been loving my BiFacil eye makeup remover. I had forgotten how good it was until I heard you mention it and I am so glad you did.
Hello!! This is a bit different than the first in feeling upon application and I can be casual about it because I wasn't devoted to the original. For those who LOVED the original, tread lightly. I think you'll like this too but it might have needed a new name instead. Let me know your thoughts if you try it. Oh the BiFacil. Couldn't live without it!
Oh man, Lancôme and I go back many years. I couldn’t go to prom therefore my mom decided to purchase me my first me ever “high end” makeup, and this foundation was one of them. I used it to the brim! I felt like it gave me coverage and everything I needed. It has been 11 years since and have recently purchased it again, in hopes of giving me that beautiful finish.
I finally went and bought this today, I knew what color I wore with Lancome care and glow so that helped but the color that matched me the best with the new Lancome was a cool tone, I was floored. I would definitely say go in store. I wore it about 8hrs today and I LOVE it! ❤️ I had tried the OG maybe 2 years ago but didn’t love it. For me and my skin (combo and dry) , this is perfect. I put every foundation color match up against ELDW 3N1, the Lancome shade to match me today is 325C.
Hello Kristy! I totally agree. Getting matched in store it’s really the best. Everything else is such a pig in a poke is the expression goes. I love this formula, too!
I went with 230 C, but I really like the Care and Glow on me the best. That is in 245C. I have combination skin (so oily t-zone) and one of my problems is getting foundation to stay on my nose and chin. My favorite of all of these is the Laura Mercier.
OMGOSH I just tossed out my old Lancome it was a few yrs old, bought this not knowing it was the new serum type and haven't even opened the box! I hope I got the right shade. Too late now to exchange it's been weeks! I matched the original to the one I just got..... I really think I love these
I bought the Saie, and am returning today. It breaks up badly on my skin after a short time. I have dry skin right now so this is not due to oilyness. It’s a lovely glow but not a great product imo. And I love Saie as a rule.
You are NOT alone, Alexandra. I am in the process of making the round up now and I definitely mention this. Returns. Crusty is the word often used. I even say, on camera, that this foundation seems to be actually hated!
The formula now seems to be in line with the concealer texture. I’m here for it. It’s such an improvement to remove the SPF. Thanks for picking this up for review. Tried and true, less gamble is my M.O.
I wish, in a way, that they would organize it, even as big as they are, to remove the older product before selling the new. I know the New has not been in wide release yet but there’s still so much confusion now about the older version and the new. And I was told this new had SPF as well but it does not seem to so I’m very confused and I think it’s the interplay between the old formula still being available in so many places
Thank you for reviewing! I ended up bumping up a shade to 235N and I do appreciate the fact it does not look orange or super yellow on me either. I like this one the best so far in 2023, I returned Laura Mercier & Too Faced. Looking forward to seeing how this ranks in your foundation roundup video!
Love your reviews! I am interested in this one. I have the Dior Forever Matte and Estée Lauder Double Wear. I have combination skin with a t-zone that gets a tad oily after half a day. I’m 63 with some rosacea, live in Georgia where the summers are hot and humid. I’m always looking for something that covers the rosacea but is super lightweight. I apply my other foundations with lightest coverage possible in summer. But like it to be long lasting. So I’m hoping the Lancôme fits the bill !! Your work is much appreciated since I’m looking for specific types of makeup…you do such a good job of answering most questions 😊❤
Donna! That’s the best thing I’ve heard all day. 63 with mascara. That’s so funny. I love it. I think this one might fit the bill for you. My only issue is that if it’s used every day it does contain a high amount of alcohol for dry down and I just worry that might end up becoming drying. Also it has some SPF in it but that’s not bad. For summer it would certainly be better than either that or do you work for the Estée Lauder double wear. A nice much lighter change for hotter weather! Thank you so very much for your kind words. I appreciate this so very much. And I’m going to do my round up of all of these foundations and hopefully put that out tomorrow or the next day.
Long time Lancóme customer and they discontinued my 310 bisque C. I must have been the only one who used it. Anyway i got the 300 N and I like the formulation. I feel like the 300 N is a little to light as well so I will probably try another shade but so far so good.
Hi dear Rebecca, loved the video, and sounds good, a foundation from a European brand without fragrance, and looks beautiful on you!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 I checked, almost all shades sold out, but i see again (also that is with the concealer) that the shades have totally different names plus numbers here. L"Oreal/Lancome they really have to fix this. Shade 300N we do not have here. But beautiful video, loved it, thanks, i finally watched everything, puppy is 10 hands full, have a wonderful day!!!😘😘😘😘😘😘
The puppy is 10 handfuls but they’re lovely handfuls! Ha ha. Make sure that the formulation you’re looking at is the new one. Unfortunately, Lancome is also still selling the older and that is often discounted and very few shades.
❤❤Lancome! So excited for this video and your take on the reformulation. I have to remember your shade. I was thinking of the Guerlain. How do you think they compare for longevity? Looks awesome. Brightened my day to see you so early.

This was the very first high end product i tried over 10 years ago when i worked at Sears and because of that i've always had a bit of a soft spot for lancome even though they can be a bit boring. Im somewhat concerned because in the old formula i was shade 90 (im casper the ghost's cousin) and this one only starts at 100. Im drowning in foundation right now but will have to swatch it next time i need some retail therapy.
Hello! The shades here are strange, very very different from the original formula. I think you'll like this version but your shade will be different, likely even far different, from your original shade. ❤️
Ooof alcohol so high on the list. Thanks for adding that! If i matched the shade of neck, I would feel like I looked like a ghost! So i try to find exact to face or a smidge lighter, cuz I can warm up w/bronzer
Hi Rebecca. I have found a lot of foundations trending on the yellow finish. I prefer more of the pinkish shades as worn years ago. Can you recommend any brands, new or old which might have that?
Careful, Persia. I am seeing a lot of the older versions still in stores. In fact, I heard that, here in the US, it has yet to release widely until early April.
I'm not sure I get the perfect shade vs preferred shade thing on the chart but I'll get there. I'm going to wait to buy one of these after your round up. Maybe for summer time here. I have recently bought chanel les beiges foundation as a splurge, they do a great cool toned shade for me.
I’ll tell you this much, you will never go wrong buying Chanel. Goodness their things are gorgeous. The chart gives you their suggested shade but, I completely agree with you… Is there a suggested shade preferred or perfect? That’s a really really interesting thought. So, in reality there could be three shades really. Suggested, preferred and perfect. That’s interesting. I have never thought of it that way. You always think so differently for me. I adore you for that.
Very interested in trying this one. I love Lancôme because of their undertone. I got the care and glow last year and loved it more than the original because it seemed to have better coverage but was shocked because it didn’t get as shiny on me as the OG and was able to get a better color match. I still haven’t found the right color match in the original but I feel like I need to try this 🤣 do you like this one better than care and glow?
Oooo Kristy, you've stumped me. I would say I love BOTH of these actually. This one DOES have alcohol though so I couldn't wear it every day. so I'll have to go with Care and Glow but honestly it's a tie.
I'm nervous about this reformulated Lancome, i love the original and they they put more SPF in this one 🙄, I'm really tempted to try the Guerlain la teint 🤔
The Guerlain is GREAT. But this one is good too, Debbie. It really is. That ingredient that stops it from going orange or yellow seems very helpful. Let's talk SPF, Debbie. Is it in there? Not seeing it on list. But I defer to you. Let me know what I'm missing please because I want to make sure it's in my recap then!
@@debbieotoole1072 oh my goodness why am I not seeing that on the ingredients? I am not challenging you Debbie. Trust me I totally believe you. I’m just not seeing it and Lancome is so big that I’m worried that we’re looking at different product ingredients.
@debbieotoole1072 I am seeing it with SPF in the UK but I don't know if we still have the old version. I know the CT magic cream had SPF in one country but not the other at one point but it was same product just not allowed to declare it.
@Not Fit for Print Beauty You're welcome. He posted it on his IG stories as he was able to see this reformulation at the Oscar's publicity tent. I would share the screenshot but unable to on here. I was glad to see some olive skin love as we don't typically get good colors from most brands. My best match is Kosas Revealer foundation but it is nice to have options. I have been curious about this reformulation since that IG stories he posted and I want to try it. It's not easy being green(olive) 💚🤣
Oh wow they added a new cool shade... 215C! I very much appreciate Lancome for giving cooltoned people options (more than one light cool shade) unlike any brand I've seen 🎉 I've just gotten away from matte 😐 did you find it very matte like the original? By the way, I have 2 bottles of the original (to get the new shade) and I noticed they seem to turn orange over time?? I wonder if that has something to do with this new ingredient? IDK, but what I would say to those who have the original is to check it if you haven't worn it in awhile, you might need a new one.🧐 Btw... Your eyeshadow looks great! Bringing the light shimmer further onto the eye makes a huge difference!! I would add a very dark shade just in the outer corner (just a faded dot) to raise the outside. But I noticed & love to see you experimenting! 🤍
Cindy! Thank you so much for the kind compliment. I always appreciate you. I do not feel this is very matte. It’s funny because so many of these serum type foundations, and I will say this in the round up, try to please everyone. So they literally will say that they are a radiant Nate or a luminous matte which makes me laugh. It’s like saying something is a kosher ham. It just doesn’t make any sense. So this one is supposed to be natural and I actually do find it natural. Slightly more on the Matte side however. This new ingredient really does seem to prevent it from going orange or yellow and I’m very pleased with that. I agree with you that sometimes they change even in the bottle. I have somebody saying that the Guerlain changes on them so much that theirs is changing in the bottle every day.
Ohh I hear ya’ I noticed how little shades are offered in the Medium cool toned range….. also I do not like when a darker is added to the outer V of the eye…… It’s something new ( last 4 years ) that influensters say adds depth, I happen to be a MOA and yes it does add depth, but not everyone wants a darker shade and I also prefer on myself for day to day that a darker shade is not always needed ,)
Hello Jennifer! It did not. But, having said that, the Guerlain doesn't either and SO many people feel theirs did. The Too Faced oxidized on me horribly so many I'm an anomaly.
Good morning, Rebecca. So, who wears their foundation for 24 hours?? The color still looked great on you, not ghostly at all. Thanks so much for this thorough review🥰💜.
Danielle! Good morning! I used to think the same thing and then the nurses poured in. Wow. They work SUCH crazy hours. 24 hour shifts, etc. I was SHOCKED.
I’ve always felt that nurses and teachers are so under appreciated and underrated. They do so much and deserve the utmost respect. Believe it or not, I’ve actually experienced better and smarter care from Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, over actual MDs. Yup, people shouldn’t knock them. This is in New York City🥰💜.
Oh man Rebecca, I'm so confused. As I mentioned in my DM, I'm off to Orlando soon and have been tanning (no judgement community members please lol), so I need a summer foundation and I also am wondering what will be the best to wear in the 100 degree heat. All I wear normally is the Tarte tined foundation, I'm wondering if I will find switching to an actual foundation "too much" and if I should just get a darker color of the Tarte tinted moisturizer, which comes in a plastic tube and is also easy to travel with. Remember that time we talked about how a tinted moisturizer you can wear alone, whereas a foundation makes you look ghostly until you apply the rest of your makeup? If I want a very light makeup day - just a bit of mascara, blush and tinted lip gloss, will one of those serum foundations be OK, or are they really meant to be used with a full face of makeup? Sorry for the oh so long comment.
Never apologize for a long comment. I enjoyed it and was reading along with pleasure. And tanning, no problem, judgement free zone. We ALL have to look and feel our best for sure!! Ok. Ya know what? I'm going with a deeper shade in the Tarte. Why? We know it WORKS. You like it. You will be on vacation. You don't want to fuss and worry and have to check makeup. You know you can wear the tarte alone OR with more makeup. It just feels like the right choice. Kind of like our moms used to say about new shoes. The time to break them in is the last few weeks of summer vacation and not the first day of school. Haha. you know what I mean?
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty yep I had a realization after I posted this that I'm a tinted moisturizer girl. I already have a bunch of brand new foundations (including Chanel) that I've never used, but have repurchased that Tarte product about 6 times. I sent you a DM letting you know I just ordered a tarte product I haven't tried yet, it's their "cloud cream" tinted moisturizer. I don't mind giving that a try. . . the other one I may consider getting a darker color in is the Chanel Water Fresh - I adore that product - it's kind of in between a foundation and tinted moisturizer.
@@michelleisabel do you know what? I did review that cloud cream and it’s really good. And of course I love the Chanel too. Yes you’ll have a much better vacation if you don’t have to worry about your foundation.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty I went back and watched that video (I had already watched it lol). That's the same color I ordered for my summer shade. Normally I'm lighter, but with my slight tan I need a bit darker. Glad that I had a chance to go back and rewatch the video!
@@michelleisabel Michelle, you will laugh at me, I had to stop and think did I review that product or not? But I do remember it now and I did really enjoy it
Rebecca, so on both Lancome and Ulta websites, it says my shade in this is 130 Ivoire N (USA)...um, there is no 130 N ! There is a C but not an N. Help! ❤ Thx
The first thing we need to do is make absolute sure it's telling you shades in the new version. The older version is still for sale in most places. Eek. 130 N is not available on Nordstrom either. Hmmmm... Check the chart on the Nordstrom site, even if you don't buy for them, just for reference and make sure it's the new version and not the one on sale at Nordstrom. Sort by newest when you search Lancome just to be sure. They, too, also have the older version but it's on sale.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty Thanks! Have been looking for a good, lasting, blurring and non-transferable foundation! Looking forward to your comparisons to the other brands!
They don’t seem to have discontinued any shade but they havent transferred them over identically, if that makes sense. You have to use the chart to find the shade you were and then the shade you are now. It’s such a pain.
Hi! 😊 where did you order this from? Because I see on Sephora they still have the old formulation. I was able to find it on Nordstrom‘s. I ordered it yesterday so it should be here well I don’t know how long it takes because I never ordered from there, I hope I got my color right!
Ooo I hope you got the color right too. Let me know if you get a chance. Yes. Nordstrom and now on Lancome site too. Sephora, correct, old formula still.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty yesterday the Lancôme site said not yet available, then prompted me to enter my email if I wanted to be notified. What do you mean about the color?
@@belindafischer2920 oh that’s interesting. I was able to order the new off the lancome site?! I wonder if they took it down for a bit before the lunch? By color I meant the one you ordered
It’s actually no comparison except in the light the medium coverage. A tinted moisturizer is a creamy product, almost like putting on a rich sunscreen or rich moisturizer, though of course I realize some tinted moisturizers are lighter than others in texture. These new serum foundations are much more like a an eyedropper serum the kind that blends into the skin and blends away and leaves no feel to the skin whatsoever almost like completely sunken into the skin. I think it’s why a lot of them do contain alcohol to dry down. If you think about putting on a really rich moisturizer or tinted moisturizer, it will generally leave a little bit of a mark and transfer. But these do not really transfer. It’s almost like, minutes later, nothing was put on your skin at all. Does that make any sense?
It is light but then somehow...not that it oxidizes, honestly, but it ends up working. But yes. It's light. It's such a shame that we can't just have ONE shade across the brand. UGH!

I was SO shocked. At first, I thought, "How would ANYONE need this to last for 24 hours," thinking it was for party people or something. But SO many people told me they are either on call for 24 hours at a time or on a 24 hour shift. I was AMAZED.
@Not Fit for Print Beauty I have soooo many foundations that I never wear the sane one for 2 days in a row so I don't think the alcohol will bother me....but they are different finishes aren't they?

If i matched the shade of neck, I would feel like I looked like a ghost! So i try to find exact to face or a smidge lighter, cuz I can warm up w/bronzer
This is a lovely one but, yep, alcohol. I will mention in the recap as well. Filming that today.
Hi Rebecca. I have found a lot of foundations trending on the yellow finish. I prefer more of the pinkish shades as worn years ago. Can you recommend any brands, new or old which might have that?
I really feel the Chanel number one does. I went with a BR shade and it brightens and as such a nice light to the face.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty thank you so much for your response Rebecca. I’ll have to look into that. 😊
I really enjoy your videos
This looks promising for me :)
I like it a lot.
So this is a product i can find here in sweden and Denmark. So this is one Im going to get.
Careful, Persia. I am seeing a lot of the older versions still in stores. In fact, I heard that, here in the US, it has yet to release widely until early April.
Thank you
Thank YOU, Lorrina!!!
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty aw thank you :D

Monsieur Big waterproof mascara from lancome is my ride or die. No flaking or smudging AT ALL. Normally every mascara smudges on me
Their mascaras are legendary. Monsieur Big is my favorite too.
I wonder if Lancome is reformulating the stick version as well?
Ooo good question!!!
Not yet but probably.
@Not Fit for Print Beauty Yep, it's now SPF 25 😮💨
@@debbieotoole1072 oh my goodness why am I not seeing that on the ingredients? I am not challenging you Debbie. Trust me I totally believe you. I’m just not seeing it and Lancome is so big that I’m worried that we’re looking at different product ingredients.
@Not Fit for Print Beauty I've sent you a screenshot on Instagram, it's so strange that it's not in the ingredients list
@debbieotoole1072 I am seeing it with SPF in the UK but I don't know if we still have the old version. I know the CT magic cream had SPF in one country but not the other at one point but it was same product just not allowed to declare it.
Another foundation! Your foundation drawer runneth over!
It runneth over, under and sideways, Sheila!
MUA Jordan Liberty stated that 230W, 350N, 400W are olive friendly shades as they have the chromium green oxide pigment that tints them correctly.
That is fantastic information to have! Thank you very much!
@@princessleia911 SO TRUE!! Olive complexions are SO difficult to match with foundation. And difficult is an understatement. haha. Kermit for sure.
Hi! What are the main differences between this formula and the Care and Glow besides the matte and glowy finish? Thanks in advance! ❤❤❤
Mostly the finish and the care and glow has 27 SPF instead of 25 but I’m not sure that part of it matters
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty Thank you! ❤️
It has a yellow undertone to it. The 215N was my exact match. Now I have to return what I just got because it makes me look jaundiced.
@@brendamayer6235 so frustrating. Ugh. I’m so sorry
Love your reviews! Does this version oxidize at all? The old version oxidized on me. Thanks from Canada 🙏
Hello Jennifer! It did not. But, having said that, the Guerlain doesn't either and SO many people feel theirs did. The Too Faced oxidized on me horribly so many I'm an anomaly.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty thank you so much! I may need to try the new formula ☺️
@@JennB67 Tell me your thoughts if you try it!
@@Deeluvzed absolutely 100% agreed. Totally agree
Oh and on the Lancôme site itself they weren’t for sale yet..
Supposedly wide release early April??? We shall see. Not on Sephora yet at all. I believe on Nordstrom and should be on Lancome in the US now.❤️
Hello! What shade is it?
300 N 💕
SO, how do the new names relate to the old names?
They’re totally unrelated. So it’s very frustrating!
Do you prefer this or the new MAC radiance foundation?

How does this compare to Dior Forever Matte? Which would you buy for yourself?
This one hands down. I like the Dior forever matte but only if I put a dewy primer under it.

They don’t seem to have discontinued any shade but they havent transferred them over identically, if that makes sense. You have to use the chart to find the shade you were and then the shade you are now. It’s such a pain.
And another foundation 😂😂😂. I never tried the old formula. I have to say it’s looks nice on you. I am so looking forward to your round up video.

How do these compare to a tinted moisturizer
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty yes it does. Thanks
