I agree with everyone---every foundation looks beautiful on you., Mandy. The foundation stick is pretty much my holy grail, so I was excited to see that you love it, too. I don't think it gets enough love on TH-cam.
Your skin is heavenly. I can't imagine concrete even looking matte on you. I definitely want to try the stick. I feel like the sticks need to make an old school comeback for everyone.
I have the original and was actually headed to Sephora today to get a sample of the new one....but now, I want the stick!! LOL!!! I honestly don't think any foundation would look bad on your skin! Have a fun weekend!!
Loved this comparison!! I have all 3 and think the stick is my favorite, too. I even have it in a darker shade for bronzing. It's easy, consistent, long-wearing, and definitelymy go to travel foundation. I think the original feels more locked in than the newest one, which makes it seem a little more long-wearing. The newest feels more hydrating than the original. All are great and definitely have their benefits, depending on what your preferences are!
I have the stick and original. They both look great on my very mature skin. I also like the stick for travel (camping trips, mainly) and appreciate that I can carry it in my purse for touch ups (the only time I use that little kabuki brush on the end). Maybe when I’ve used up the original bottle, I’ll try the new version, but I don’t plan to get it until then. All of them looked great on you.
I don’t think any foundation could look bad on you! I’ve tried the original and it looked chalky and dry on me. I tried on the new one at Sephora and it had very little coverage to it, but looked nice.
@@susanbailey7361 Sorry you didn’t enjoy it Susan. You can definitely manipulate coverage by how much you use, but I understand if you simply just didn’t like it. So many good foundations out there to choose from. 🥰
I have to think that your wonderful, nourishing, and glowy skin care is a good part of how good these foundations look on you. I have the stick foundation and it looks really matte on me. I suspect what I need to do is re-evaluate my skin care before I put on foundation (not that I don’t already put a lot on).
Mandy you are still my favorite TH-camr! Been watching you for years. I love the way you do your makeup! It's so funny I had already decided that the stick looked the best and was shocked when you picked that too! I have tried since your last Lancome stick to purchase it here in Canada and we still can't get our hands on it so frustrating. Well hopefully soon. 🥰
okay..I have tried the original and the stick..both are good..I am 64 and they both do really well on my skin. and even in this stage of my life i still have oily skin...but I lean more towards the original. I get good coverage and it is easy to blend. the stick. I felt that I needed more for the coverage i desired plus the stick broke on me. btw..you look great
All of these are stunning on you! How do you like the Lancome No shine Powder compared to the Absolue powder. I am so bummed the Absolue powders are discontinued. Absolue pearl was my fav!
Thanks Jennifer! Oh goodness...I love both of them, but if I had to choose one, I would go with the absolue for the slight sheen it leaves on the skin. But if you like a more matte look, the no shine is great!
Thank you, Mandy, for the comparison of the 3 foundations. All of them look lovely on you. Do you know how the Lancome Stick Foundation compares to The Hourglass Stick Foundation? Have a wonderful weekend getaway!😎🌞
I just got the stick foundation and like it better than the old formula. It's definitely more hydrating. I agree on stick foundations for travel. So much easier, no mess. I usually use the one from Make Up Forever but think I'll use the Lancome one next trip.
First you have beautiful skin! Just a question for you…in a video you did on stick foundations a few years ago, you chose Tom Ford as your favorite stick foundation, and that you didn’t like Lancôme stick foundation. Has the formula changed? Do you still feel that way? I haven’t tried either and I’m debating between the two.
Hi Mandy. Your opinions are always on point!! I Love your Chanel. I bought the Lancôme Stick foundation 5 in 1 I love the shade and how is so easy to blend. But it accentuates my pores so bad! Like an Orange skin😢. I use a toner, perricone vitamin Cserum and my sun protección Supergoop mineral Matte screen. Any advice? Btwy the shade 270 is very close to my all time favorite but sadly discontinued Glow time from JI in 7. Thanks
I know this is a year old but I just can’t leave without saying how amazing your skin is #skinhoals. I mean you make all foundations look amazing…. I need a very strong coverage foundation ( melasma) but I’m aging (42) and I’m finding matte foundation show too many lines but cover pores great and dewy or hydrating look good only on my jaw and slip around and separate everywhere. I need a good foundation to not show lines but cover melasma and last. Do you think this one is good for that?
This was so helpful! I have such a hard time getting a shade match in teint idol foundations. I got a sample of the care and glow from Sephora and really enjoyed it and liked how it wore but the shade was off. I’ll have to try again.
I have the original which is a beautiful foundation and also the stick which is handy for travelling. Good to hear your opinion on the new one. I don’t know why they had to add fragrance 😐 Difficult to find beauty products that don’t have fragrance . Do you use a primer with this foundation Mandy?
I don't have either of the liquid foundations but I have the stick and love it. So easy to blend out. One thing I really like is the stick isn't as waxy as some other sticks I've tried. Great comparisons. Thank you!
I wish I've come across this genuine review earlier... I bought Care&Glow then I noticed that it has no glow at all. Pretty much the same as the other idole foundation like you mentioned.
Thank you for the information but how do you get the shade that fits you so well I have yet to find my shade What is your technique to find the perfect shade
You are so welcome Leticia! I have bought so many foundations, I can tend to research swatches and figure out what is best. But you could definitely go to a counter or in store and have them color match you if you aren't sure. ❤️
I’m looking once again for a new foundation 🥴I’m starting to breakout w the It cosmetics your skin but better foundation (which I love) what do you think could be in that one that’s making me so sensitive ? Iv worn the original lancome teint idole so I guess it isn’t sunscreen affecting me 🤷♀️also I totally agree w the original not being made for oily skin bc I’m so dry!!!!
IT Cosmetics has a tendency to have extremely long ingredient lists, so it would be hard to determine what is causing it. And the IT has mineral spf, while the lancome is chemical. So, I am not sure if it's that either. Have you tried the Oxygenetix foundation? It's so good for you, and I don't think you would have sensitivity to it. And it has great coverage!
Imagine Chad mowing the lawn while you were filming! What is wrong with him? 😅(I could not hear him lol). We, in Canada, cannot even get the stick, so so lame. I’m looking at Selfridges …. Do you find the 3 Group…..are best for your colouring (I’m in the 2’s I think) any thoughts as to whether they run light/dark? I guess ordering 2 shades are best? Way OT….I know you are huge on spf and Chad had an issue. I had a tiny, bit rough to the touch, not a big deal, …right smack on middle of my forehead. Had it removed, hear back after a couple of weeks…it was squamous cell……was given option of a Mohs surgery or a chemo cream, which I had never heard of…and has apparently an 82% recovery….took that option …put a dot on once a day for 4 weeks. THAT was nasty, mildly……nightmare. However, it did do it’s job……. but I am to have checked…along with body scan, every 6 months. I’m always good with spf…..asked if it could possibly have anything to,do,with stem cells in various products I have used, she….the Mohs doctor, said absolutely not….it’s from when you were 20 or younger, sitting in sun….which I did religiously…..so it’s not just the sun now that’s bad, it’s our younger years. I know this is way off to post here, but I didn’t know any other way to mention privately. Apologies. Elaine xx
Hi Elaine! Yes, from everything I have researched, that doc is definitely right. The majority of skin cancer is a result of early age sun exposure that takes 20-30 years to rear it's ugly head unfortunately. Chad had the Mohs on his second spot. I am glad you got yours checked and that they were able to get it all! And I think it's great for everyone to get checked that often for sure. As far as the Lancome...I am 260 in the liquid and I got 260 in the stick as well which is going to suit me better in the winter, where as the 3 range is better for me in the summer.
Mandy your skin is so glowy I don’t think any foundation would look matte on you! LOL. I can’t do the fragrance In DIOr, Givenchy, Chanel. Smells like old grandma. So, this one not having scent is good!!
