    Great video. Just to also add if you are looking to move a shape (e.g. a vertical rectangle for noting an Appendix in a report), right click on the shape, go to 'Wrap Text' and then select 'In Front of Text.' You will then be able to freely move the shape/object into the header and footer. Racked my brains trying to find a solution to do this and finally figured it out; hopefully it is of some use to someone!

    Hi. Thanks for the tutorial. I have a work document where the headers and footers are set up with tabs rather than text boxes. The front page has a strip of image (inserted into the header) which runs down the entire right side of the page. The image is formatted to wrap text/tight so that long titles don't run over it. I can set it up so that it looks perfect in print preview, but when I actually print the doc (to pdf) I get a white strip between the image and the edge of the page. I have to pull the image off the edge in order to get it to print correctly. I think this is something to do with a Word update because it used to work fine! Do you have any suggestions for how to fix the image in place so that wisiwig? Thanks!

    Why can't a drag my logo or text box in the header? They are locked in place. Thanks

      You have to copy the logo and paste it into the header OR go into the headers and then insert the logo from there. If it's locked, right click on it, go to WRAPPING and click on IN FRONT OF TEXT. Now you should be able to move it anywhere in your document : ))

    Hi Lisa, I've been driving myself crazy. I'm a legal assistant and I need to create a Will document and I must have the first page with no header but must have a footer....the middle pages need a header with page numbers starting at 2 and the same footer as before, the last page needs the same header (page number) and NO footer. The text of the Will needs to be continuous so the section page break isn't being helpful. Help, please!

    After you close the header what you write feels like it fades y

    How to add subscript in the Header? I use the tabs in the word but it still remains as normal text, and not changes into subscript.

    • @farazhaider9916

      Note: It is a chapter title.

    • @farazhaider9916

      In the chapter title, the subscript is enabled, but in the header (where the title is linked) it doesn't.

      You could try typing some normal text followed by the chapter title, make the chapter title subscript and then delete what you don't need. Word can be quite quirky sometimes!

    What if I want them vivid color instead faded?

    • @LisaDoe
      @LisaDoe  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Everything will fade in the headers and footers to identify between them but if you save as a PDF or print the document the colours will be vibrant throughout.
