lol! Depending on the factors I mentioned, your chance of death could be really low, BUT, it's not ZERO. Seems like you were unlucky. Did you save recently before the battle?
Came here because Flesson mentioned you in one of his videos. Holy damn, what a great content you make. SUBBED and will recommend to everyone I know that plays!
So basically assign your worst medic if you’re trying to kill a king in battle, and do it later in the campaign since he’ll likely have good armor regardless of age. I’ve cornered him by himself but I didn’t realize my medic was working against me. Also, strip your clan mates of their armor before battle and send them charging into the enemy alone before attacking with the main force. Two birds, one save scum.
One of my clan members killed a lord today it was glorious she hit him point black with a catapult the other 2 lords with him survived but atlas Lord Amalgun did not survive my Mercenary clan during his Siege
On realistic perma death I’ve now spent years as a slave trying to kill the slavers and people that releas me and kill me before I get anywhere and im broke so sold all my stuff to afford men and lost them 😊
Hey Hero. Thanks for the infos, very useful. Quick Q: Do you know if the death chance for opponents is the same in battle and auto resolve? I try to kill the aserai leader, but don't want to behead him. got him pinned down in the desert and saved right before the battle^^. Thanks in advance!
Chance of death algorithm is the same for both auto-resolved battles as it is for running the battles. The only thing that changes is you won't die in an auto-resolved battle.
Are deaths predetermined for each battle? Meaning there's a death "seed" where if a hero falls in a certain battle, it will kill him? Basically, I'm asking if you can save scum battles to kill the king of your faction?
It's not predetermined. You can save scum to kill the king. Try doing it at different times in the battle to get a different random chance. Keep in mind the chance is probably below 2%.
Good question. With no armor, no medicine, level 1, age 100 is that last age that doesn't break the algorithm. Age 101 breaks it, might result in an error.
I've always played with death off for clan members and me as I dodnt want to randomly lose my brother or something. Guess I don't have much to worry about I think I'll leave it on for my next game
Remember, even though it's a low chance, it's still a chance. Not to jinx it for you, but watch the first game you play like that, you lose someone quick... Let me know.
I just dont understand if you join a battle for help a lord and you want kill him your medical skills apply to them? I mean if i set a doctor with 0 at medicine will be more easy kill the lord?
If a lord is in a battle and you join his side your medicine skill does not apply to him. I think Doctor's Oath may apply, but I would have to test that. His medicine skill applies to him. The enemies Doctor's Oath applies to him. Your medicine skill or your surgeon's skill does not apply to him. If you are fighting against that lord then your Doctor's Oath will apply to him.
Would be nice if you could show a character die in battle. Because I've played 100s of hours, fell in battle plenty, and NEVER died in battle. It's a joke, we're all immortal until we marry. Then we can die in battle easy. But they've coded it so that your line can never die. So if you don't marry, you don't die in battle. Prove me wrong.
I don't have the tools to examine code. But I've tested it by charging naked into heavy horse lances hundreds of times. After watching your video, I tried it again at low level (previously, the character I was using it to test with was high level , heavy armor, and medical skill) So now I've worn myself out charging a low level character solo against everyone in sight and still haven't been able to die. So IF it is possible to die, it's such a remote chance that you can ignore it. That said, after testing, with my high level character, I married and got killed almost right away. After that, I played the spouse which was immortal until she married. These are the results of my testing. I don't know how to look at code. It's disappointing that it's impossible or as good as impossible to die. Takes away the sense of adventure.
I feel like they should make it a little easier to die and kill lords... maybe like a another difficulty or something, I would love to kill lords and escape the execution penalty bs
I think it should consider the amount of damage taken from the final blow. A small hit that barely puts it over the edge vs a very high dmg hit to vulnerable parts should make a big difference.
wow this video makes me wonder why the even bothered adding birth and death... no wonder I've never seen anyone die in battle.. so depressing.. I would of thought / expected its like a 25% chance when you get ko'd or something .. but a 2% chance at base .. and just getting lower??? what is the point??
Concidering how many battles that are thought it evens it out a bit. 1% risk is 1 in 100 battles. If it was 10%-20% lords would be depleted from the factions quickly, before they had time to get kids. Altough it could be interesting to have more impactful battles where if you faced the main army with the king and you won and killed the king, you'd gain the kingdom or a large part of it.
I died in my first bannerlord difficulty campaign… in my first battle, in the first attack that hit me

@@Sir_Hammock Blunt can't kill as explained in the video though.
Didn't know about the armour contributing to survival. Video is great, not too long and very informative.

Thanks for providing the formula. I've been wanting this info for probably the last year or so.
That's interesting, great video. Thanks for doing those tests. Thanks for hosting that vid Flesson19.
Hero by name, hero by nature
Hero by trade.😁
Keep it up! Loving these great videos!
Simple amazing
Omg, this is why it's easier to kill nobles in prison breaks, they are wearing civilian gear instead of their armor.
Good point. The will have low armor and I'm not sure if your medicine is used, I'll have to look into that.
Highly informative- thanks
ahhhhhhhh excellent video with tons of information as always🎉

damn that noble i killed in battle really got the short straw but he was valandian sooo (beats up more nobles furiously)

I know this is off topic, but do you know what's the average age your heroe dies from old age?
I don't know the exact answer without looking it up, but if I remember correctly after 50 the odds go up drastically.
So at what age is death guaranteed?
Good question. With no armor, no medicine, level 1, age 100 is that last age that doesn't break the algorithm. Age 101 breaks it, might result in an error.
There is a random chance of death due to old age, that will get you long before you get to 100 years old.
I've always played with death off for clan members and me as I dodnt want to randomly lose my brother or something. Guess I don't have much to worry about I think I'll leave it on for my next game

So age doesnt affect it at all?
Age is one of the factors. 1:27

What about simulation battles?
I don't understand the question.
@@hero_on_youtube When you auto resolve battles. Do you know what the math is like for who dies?
I feel like they should make it a little easier to die and kill lords... maybe like a another difficulty or something, I would love to kill lords and escape the execution penalty bs
I agree, a setting would be nice. But then my video becomes useless... :)

Your scientific writing skills are good, man! Did you study science or engineering?
I'm a Software Engineer, does that count?

In Early Access it was really high and Lords were dropping left and right.

@@Metalord874 This was happening in Early Access, that's why they changed it. Companions were dying fast too, so they use this same new logic.

No I don't care I'm not getting my character killed in bed! Ill just be 61 and take all my armor off and make sure no one has doctors oath 😂
