Anyways this is a remix/mix I made using the Instrumental and Vocal versions. I was inspired a bit by Cheesoburgor's mix but decided to add more to it.

getting Pequod Captain Ishmael was totally worth it. i like the unique dialogue and passive
This chapter only affirmed my belief that Ishmael has the most beautiful hair color I've seen on a fictional character.

Limbus is his Ahab making him proud of self sacrifice.
The difference too is that the sinners could actually comfort him, compared to Ishmael, who lost anyone and had no recourse or comfort for her emotions

This is exactly the kind of mix I wanted for this song. Listening to it straight through normally, it always feels like it's over too soon, but this gives you a similar buildup of intensity as the ingame experience. Great work.
I hope mili's official release will do it similarly. The instrumental parts seem like an integral part of the song, and putting the guitar riff before the finale was great too.
Try the Chair mix, it’s slightly better than this and has animated arts(like Uptie 3 arts)

I am constantly crying going through this song for my feeling of lost feelings of uncertainty.I am sad im yet to find my own path im still blind I can't find my own path. I did my absolute best to avoid spoilers and by God it was worth it. Now I can finally engage in the community and look at stuff on this chapter. I don't know how PM is gonna keep one upping themself each time cause Jesus Christ.

while personally I wasn't so fond of remixing(or speeding up/slowing down)songs,especially Mili songs as they are already perfect the way they are.
but,while Compass ltself is a really good song,it always seems too short,like the excitement that built up from the start came to an end so quickly,so i think that this mix is a really good way to extend and rearrange the song and portray Ishmael's story.
in simpler words,love the mix,hope to see more in the future

Unless you mean the heartbeat is consistently throughout the entire song, this mix does have the heartbeat during the intro and during the chorus where it's usually missing in the clean files ripped from the game.
Of course, this is all tragic and what Ahab did cannot be forgiven, but it should be noted that Ahab and Ishmael are two sides of the same coin, most likely when Ahab was an ordinary sailor, she had the same crazy captain that she became, and from the story with Ishmael they were similar but there was one difference Ishmael was able to find hers but Ahab could not find her way and followed the path of the captain, becoming crazier with every sailor and whale that were killed in her vein and so Ahab continued this insane cycle of despair and hatred until one moment ( I don’t know exactly. It was like that, but in principle it may be similar to the truth, but this doesn’t mean what I write is true, it’s more a theory of a crazy person collecting stories)
I think the story makes it very clear that Ahab is also a victim of the cycle of pain and hatred, and if you have any knowledge of the original book, Moby Dick, Ahab is a bit more sympathetic, in general Ahab is portrayed as a mortally gray character, after all even though Canto V never says it explicitly, at least I cant remember if it does, Ahab originally in Moby Dick lost her/his leg because of the whale.
I'm pretty sure part OF the tragedy is how much of an influence Ahab had on Ishmael, because Ahab was what could have been Ishmael and what used to be Ishmael , that's the point, that's why Ishmael's hatred for Ahab runs so deep, because they both are a reflection of each other's psique, obssesions and pains
Ahab is also someone who was in so much pain she ended up clinging into the mission of killing the whale because it was the only thing that gave her life meaning, it was her driving force to keep her forward and give meaning to her pain, having lost her leg to the whale, just like Ahab deemed the whale evil, Ishmael projected all of that to Ahab because Ishmael also longed to attribute meaning to pain, and Ahab was the only driving force keeping her forward after she lost everything, how Ahab lost her leg, Ishmael lost her crew, needless to say the power dynamic, abuse and manipulation and betrayal of Ahab towards Ishmael only made Ishmael become much more traumatized
Point is, part of the tragedy is acknowledging that Ahab also was someone who was in so much pain she went delusional over killing the whale to soothe the pain, and represents basically what Ishmael would have become if she hadn't been able to move forward and find her own path without a blind obsession that led her to madness.
The song compass says it itself ;
"piercing through the roof that strangled you and me.
Let US be free"
The narrative itself acknowledges Ahab's pain, because without doing so, the tragedy and themes of the story wouldn't really have as much impact
